A new chapter is up.
Come in, get comfortable, and let’s see what kind of trouble waits this time ❤️ ✦ “Recruitment?
Does that mean I finally get a fight?” A man in heavy plate armor and a metal helmet stepped out of the teleportation beam like a medieval knight thrown into the modern world.
Excitement shone in his eyes.
Thor had attacked Asgard’s ancient enemies, marched into Frost Giant territory, angered Odin, and been grounded in Asgard.
In the blink of an eye, he had arrived in a new world.
After being locked away for so long, the fresh taste of freedom put him in an excellent mood.
More importantly, although Thor looked down on biological modifications like the T-virus, he had always been interested in war, conquest, and invasion.
Otherwise, he would not have angered Odin again and again until the old man finally beat sense into him.
“An unknown new world.” “It seems my time has come again.
I hope this world has opponents strong enough to face me.” Thor cracked his knuckles, eager for a fight.
As for factions?
What a joke.
He was Thor, God of Thunder.
He had no need for baggage dragging him down.
“In the name of Thor, I will conquer this land.” Thor lifted Mjolnir and spoke in a deep voice, as if making a declaration to the world.
It looked grand, dramatic, and absolutely ridiculous to everyone who lacked context.
“Idiot.” “I knew I should never expect anything from that fool.” Loki covered his face, the corner of his mouth twitching.
Thor was exactly as unreliable as ever.
What did he think this was, a stage play?
Countless people were watching the live broadcast, and he still talked like that.
Loki could already feel Asgard’s reputation being dragged through the mud.
For once, he was grateful he had not been teleported in with Thor.
This was too embarrassing.
“Thor?” Odin murmured from the throne.
He was much calmer.
After so many years, he was used to Thor’s temperament and did not care about a little foolishness.
What truly concerned him was something else.
“This time, Thor was recruited?” Golden light moved through Odin’s eye.
His gaze seemed to pierce the void and stop where Thor had vanished from Asgard.
His expression turned grave.
As the All-Father, he had failed to notice how Thor disappeared from Asgard.
“The invasion system…” What kind of power was that?
…
People on Earth knew nothing about Asgard’s shock.
They simply watched the broadcast and tried not to laugh.
The last recruits had all been elites.
This time, the recruit looked like a walking punchline.
“God of Thunder?
What is he, a Norse mythology cosplayer?
This guy’s delusions are serious.” “Did someone send him in as a joke?” “So lunatics can be recruited too?
Is the reason I wasn’t picked that I’m not unhinged enough?” “He says he’s Thor?
Then I’m Odin.
People really say anything now.” The internet filled with mockery.
Soon, the whole network was laughing.
“The Norse god of thunder?” Nick Fury shook his head, clearly unconvinced.
Even with multiverse invasions and other worlds appearing, he was not ready to believe an actual god lived on Earth.
Myths belonged in myths.
“Like people online are saying, he’s probably a delusional maniac,” Fury muttered.
As for the metal armor?
Probably high-end cosplay.
It looked realistic, but it was not practical.
That exaggerated shape would be useless in a real fight, especially that heavy metal helmet.
And what kind of god fought up close with a hammer?
“Director, we have movement.” “Another group appeared.
They look dangerous, possibly fugitives.” “Running facial models against the database now.” Coulson’s tense voice interrupted Fury’s thoughts.
“Hm?” Fury quickly turned.
Sure enough, another figure had appeared on the screen.
He looked older, weathered, and scarred by hard years.
He carried the unmistakable air of a man who had survived a lifetime of violence.
Even through the screen, Fury could feel that he was not easy to provoke.
And his face…
“It’s them.” Recognition hit Fury as the database results surfaced in his mind.
“The hope the Professor mentioned?” Jean Grey stepped forward quietly, her eyes half closed and her psychic power spreading outward to probe the environment.
“Jean, be careful.
This place isn’t normal.” A low growl sounded behind her.
Logan followed close behind and instinctively placed himself in a protective position around Jean.
Cyclops stood on the flank, watching their surroundings and ready to fire.
“Hm?” “West.
I sense a powerful life form.” Jean’s eyelashes trembled as if she had discovered something.
“Then we go west first.” Logan’s gaze sharpened, and he made the decision instantly.
With his healing factor and adamantium skeleton, fear had never been part of how Logan made decisions.
Faced with the unknown, he chose to push forward.
“Jean, stay behind me.
We’ll check it out first.
Maybe we’ll find something useful.” Once Logan decided, the X-Men moved with clean efficiency.
Whether it was the Twelve Talismans or the unknown faction choice, none of it could be understood by standing still.
…
S.H.I.E.L.D.
“Director, the facial model has been uploaded.
We still have no trace of the man calling himself Thor.” “But on the other side, we found records.
It’s…” Coulson jogged over, but before he finished, Fury spoke first.
“Wolverine.
Logan.” “Uh?
Director, you knew?” Coulson scratched his head, a little embarrassed.
Fury’s expression shifted, but he held back his explanation.
Of course he knew about the two great mutant factions and the X-Men who stood for coexistence.
Logan, with his healing factor, was a top-tier combatant.
Fury not only knew Logan.
He knew exactly where Logan was heading.
“Captain America is about to have trouble.” Fury’s mood darkened further.
