“You.”

Logan’s expression darkened.

I may not be able to beat you, but that doesn’t mean you can act like we’re old friends.”

Looking at the still-vigilant Wolverine, Wade smiled faintly.

“We’ll get familiar with each other eventually.”

Ororo’s tense expression relaxed somewhat as well.

From the Professor’s words, she could at least tell that the man in front of them wasn’t some kind of evil mutant.

At most, he was simply acting on his natural instincts and remaining cautious.

So this must be one of the two mysterious guests the Professor mentioned.

Otherwise, with Wade’s mental perception, there’s no way he’d attack someone outside the door without a reason.

It was almost unbelievable.

In just five years, Wade had awakened a powerful psychic ability with virtually no apparent drawbacks.

That was why, like Charles, he could use psychic power to sense the unique brainwaves of mutants.

Charles’s telepathic voice slowly sounded in Ororo’s mind.

“Ororo, I’ll leave him in your care for now.”

“I’ll wait for you in the classroom.”

Logan frowned deeply.

“Who the hell is that voice?”

“How can he speak directly inside my head?”

Ororo nodded and said to Logan,

“Please don’t be nervous.

We have no intention of harming you.”

It happened to be class dismissal time, and several students walked out of their classrooms.

They curiously looked at the three people standing in the hallway.

The children’s innocent and sincere gazes, combined with Charles’s subtle yet effective psychic reassurance, gradually eased Logan’s nerves.

Of course, the moment Logan’s gaze swept toward Wade, his body instinctively tensed again.

Apparently, the beating Wade had given him earlier had left quite an impression.

“Also, Wade.”

Charles’s voice suddenly sounded again.

“Could you put some clothes on first?”

“You may not live at the school permanently, but you should still pay some attention to your appearance.”

Wade awkwardly rubbed his nose.

“Sorry, sorry.”

He slightly spread his palm.

Psychic power mixed with gravitational force, and the shirt hanging from the coat rack immediately flew into his hand.

Just as he was about to put it on and accompany Ororo, she spoke.

“Look at you.

Your hair isn’t even combed properly.”

“Go fix yourself up.”

Wade looked surprised.

But my hair looks perfectly fine.

Ororo gave him a meaningful look.

Then she glanced at Logan.

She was silently telling Wade not to come along for the moment.

Wade immediately understood.

He laughed awkwardly.

“Got it.”

“You two take care.”

With that, he gave the two of them a friendly and polite farewell before quickly closing the door to his room.

The footsteps of Logan and Ororo gradually faded down the hallway.

“Five years have already passed without me realizing it.”

Wade returned to his room and looked at the photograph sitting on the table.

It was a picture of him and his grandmother.

The old woman who had raised Wade had passed away peacefully three years earlier.

Her body had actually been unable to hold on for much longer.

Age and exhaustion had drained the elderly woman’s remaining strength.

But after Wade came here, her final worry had disappeared.

With nothing left weighing on her, she calmly waited for the end of her life.

Wade knew that when the kind old woman passed away, she must have been happy.

There had been no worry or regret in her eyes.

And at this school, Wade had also found a warmth he hadn’t experienced in a very long time.

It had been far too long since he’d felt that kind of sincerity and trust between people.

Over these five years, his abilities had continued growing and maturing.

At the same time, he deliberately kept a low profile.

People had almost forgotten that such a powerful mutant even existed.

Only the residents of New York still occasionally remembered the spectacular meteor shower that had struck the outskirts of the city years ago.

The traces left behind remained as silent proof of how much had changed over the years.

“Looks like things are about to get interesting.”

Wade gently wiped the dust from the photograph.

After tidying up his room a little, he left.

Charles was already calling for him.

“Good morning, Wade.”

Charles smiled as Wade pushed open the classroom door.

“You look like you’re in good spirits.”

Wade winked at Ororo before turning toward Charles.

“My spirits have always been excellent.”

He then nodded toward the young man standing nearby, who was wearing a pair of incredibly stylish sunglasses.

“Morning.”

This was Cyclops.

Scott Summers.

There was another person in the room as well.

Jean Grey.

She was still as breathtaking as ever.

Her extraordinary presence made even Logan and Scott’s eyes linger on her.

Her fiery red hair remained as vibrant as ever, while the same red dress wrapped around her increasingly mature figure.

The vivid color contrasted sharply with her calm, composed expression, creating an astonishingly beautiful visual contrast that made her even more captivating.

Charles turned toward Logan.

“As you can see, all of them are outstanding students of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters.” Enjoying the story? Read on at g.com.

“At this point, they’re all capable of standing on their own.”

“Would you like to stay here as well?”

“Whether you’d prefer to be a student or a teacher.”

Jean spoke calmly.

“I think it would be quite interesting if he became a student.”

“After all, considering his age…”

She let out a faint laugh.

Logan looked slightly annoyed.

But then he remembered that he had apparently attacked Jean immediately after waking up.

Feeling somewhat guilty, he didn’t argue with her.

“Storm.”

“Cyclops.”

“Marvel Girl.”

Logan muttered the names under his breath.

At this point, Jean hadn’t yet become the future Phoenix Queen.

Her power was still being suppressed, which was why her X-Men codename was currently Marvel Girl.

“You people have quite an interesting school.”

“You even give us ‘monsters’ different code names.”

When Logan said the word monsters, none of the mutants in the room laughed at him.

Because to ordinary people, calling mutants monsters wasn’t entirely unreasonable.

Logan’s expression contained a hint of self-mockery.

Throughout his incredibly long life, he had encountered plenty of people with extraordinary abilities.

But a place as pure and clean as Charles’s school?

This was his first time seeing one.

“Then what’s this guy’s codename?”

Logan pointed toward Wade.

There was a faint hint of unwillingness in his eyes.

“Me?”

Wade smiled.

“You can call me…”

“Stardust.”

“Stardust?”

A strange smile appeared at the corner of Logan’s mouth.

“That codename has absolutely no taste.”

“You must be a pretty boring guy.”

Wade: “???”

Ororo couldn’t help laughing.

Jean also lightly covered her lips, suppressing a smile.

What the hell does that have to do with having no taste?

Wade felt completely wronged.

And besides, the codename was actually incredibly fitting.

After all, his powers were connected to the stars in the heavens.

He could summon the stars.

His body contained the power and characteristics of the stars themselves.

He was the stars.

And the stars themselves would obey his command.
