Charles had given Logan an interesting arrangement.

He could learn alongside the students while still maintaining a great deal of independence.

After all, Logan’s abilities were already fully developed.Full novel: Marvel: I Am the Lord of the Stars — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

What he needed to learn wasn’t how to become a good mutant, but how to properly interact with other people.

Setting that aside, Logan’s years of accumulated combat experience were an enormous asset.

He could provide the students with tremendous assistance and teach them how to protect themselves.

That was why Charles intended to guide Logan toward becoming a teacher and eventually bring him into the X-Men.

The problem was that getting Logan to truly develop a sense of belonging to the school would still take considerable effort.

The most Wade could do was help gradually restore Logan’s lost memories.

He couldn’t resolve the confusion in Logan’s mind or the deep-rooted vigilance that had accumulated over the years.

For example, who had attacked him?

Logan had originally intended to take Rogue—Marie—back to a normal city.

But a sudden attack had left him seriously injured.

Charles was equally puzzled by this.

The evidence at the scene clearly indicated that Magneto had been responsible.

Magneto had been silent for far too long.

What exactly was he planning by suddenly showing himself now?

As for Wade, he had plenty of other things to deal with.

Just as Charles was preparing to speak with Logan privately, Wade finally let out a long sigh of relief.

Not much time had been wasted.

Perhaps he could still have a wonderful date with Ororo.

Unfortunately, one phone call forced him to adjust his plans once again.

Walking beside Wade down the hallway, Ororo took one look at his helpless expression and immediately guessed who was calling.

“That playboy is looking for you again?”

“Yeah.”

“But you can’t really call him a playboy anymore.

He’s been behaving himself a lot more these past few years.”

“Who knows how long that’ll last?”

Ororo clearly wasn’t fond of the idea.

Tony Stark’s reputation was simply too enormous.

Whether it was his less-than-stellar personal reputation in the past or his extraordinary talent, the man was always the center of attention.

He was simultaneously a weapons manufacturer, businessman, inventor, and, eventually, a superhero.

Wade rubbed his temples.

“Tony’s working on some improvements, and apparently he needs more materials.”

“He wants me to prepare another batch of meteorite iron for him.”

“Seriously?

How can he keep ordering you around like that?”

Ororo sounded displeased.

“Stark Industries should be handling its own material problems.”

“Even the most advanced industry has its limitations.”

“Besides, he’s helped me a lot over the years, and I’ve learned plenty of things from him.”

“This is a mutually beneficial arrangement.

I have no reason to refuse.” This chapter was copied from g.com without permission.

Wade gently squeezed Ororo’s hand and smiled.

“Looks like our first date is going to be postponed again.”

Ororo’s face reddened slightly.

“We’re still at school.

Behave yourself.”

Wade chuckled.

Then he pushed open the school’s main entrance.

His figure disappeared from the spot.

A few minutes later, a young visitor arrived at Stark Tower in New York.

However, he didn’t enter through the front door.

He flew directly onto the rooftop.

Wade looked at the man standing nearby.

“Looks like you’re not very busy.”

“I was just about to take a break.”

Tony Stark had been preparing to pour himself a glass of red wine and relax for a moment.

His arm twitched slightly, and he nearly spilled the drink.

“You’re pretty damn fast.”

“New York isn’t that big.”

“If I didn’t have to worry about the streets, I could’ve gotten here even faster.”

Tony raised his glass with a grin.

“All right, mysterious Wade.

Want a drink?”

“No.”

Wade answered with a straight face.

“I’m not old enough to legally drink yet.”

Tony shook his head.

“Oh, come on.

With your physical condition, alcohol wouldn’t have any effect on you anyway.”

“I’m a law-abiding citizen.”

Wade replied seriously.

“Besides, you’ve been using up the meteorite iron way too quickly lately.”

“Did you make some kind of breakthrough in your technology?”

“Something like that.”

Tony didn’t deny it.

“Soon, the latest generation of armor will be finished.”

“And the equipment you asked me to build for you will be finished too.”

“This time, you’re going to have to bring me a lot more meteorite iron.”

Wade nodded.

“Sure.”

“Then I’ll be looking forward to seeing your finished work.”

That was the era when one of Marvel’s most famous heroes, Iron Man, officially entered the public eye.

The red-and-gold metal armor witnessed Tony Stark’s transformation from a ruthless weapons manufacturer into a superhero who accepted responsibility for society.

For Wade, not being able to personally participate in that transformation had been somewhat disappointing.

Fortunately, the opportunity for the two of them to meet had arrived soon enough.

At the time, Tony’s armor was still made primarily from relatively ordinary steel.

Advanced materials such as the nanotechnology-based alloys of the future didn’t exist yet.

After everything he had experienced, Tony desperately needed a new material that could give his armor a qualitative leap forward.

His attention naturally turned toward rare metals.

Adamantium.

Vibranium.

Unfortunately, both metals were extraordinarily difficult to obtain.

Their production methods were also highly restricted, with the respective resources controlled by the military and Wakanda.

Even Tony, with his extensive connections in the weapons industry, couldn’t get his hands on either of them.

Just as he was reaching a dead end, another strange metal entered his field of vision.

It had been discovered in a meteor crater on the outskirts of New York.

The remnants of the meteor shower Wade had summoned years ago.

After being vaporized by extreme heat and subjected to immense impact forces, the meteorites had left behind a new metal with exceptional plasticity and compatibility.

Wade named it Meteorite Iron.

Its outstanding properties immediately gave Tony hope.

After numerous experiments, he discovered that even coating ordinary metal with a thin layer of Meteorite Iron could dramatically improve its overall performance.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough of it.

There simply wasn’t enough material to build an entire suit of Meteorite Iron armor.

After using various channels to investigate the origin of the meteorite crater, Tony eventually discovered something astonishing.

The meteor shower had actually been created by a young boy.

Tony couldn’t sit still after learning that.

He personally sought out Wade and asked him to artificially create more meteors.

In exchange, Tony would purchase the metal left behind after each meteor impact at an extremely high price.

Wade readily agreed.

On one hand, it gave him an opportunity and a suitable environment to practice his abilities.

On the other hand, Tony’s vast knowledge perfectly suited Wade’s extraordinary learning speed.

Wade had no intention of becoming an uneducated brute who only knew how to throw punches.

Tony might be somewhat arrogant, but there was genuinely nothing wrong with his character.

He was someone worth getting to know and becoming friends with.

More importantly, both of them possessed a rebellious spirit that ran deep within their bones.

It wasn’t an exaggeration to say they shared the same interests and temperament.

Over the years, their relationship gradually deepened.

Wade’s knowledge had already reached a level comparable to Tony’s.

And that was despite the fact that Wade spent a great deal of his time traveling back and forth between Charles’s school and Stark Industries.

“If every mutant had a brain as useful as yours, humanity would be finished in no time.”

That was something Tony frequently said whenever he wanted to tease Wade.
