[GHOST RIDER’S IMAGE FOR THIS FIGHT…]

The driver had watched the convoy disappear one vehicle at a time in the rear-view camera, and by now the fear that had been building inside him had turned into outright panic.

Every escort vehicle they had been counting on was either burning on the highway or lying wrecked somewhere behind them,

While the flaming figure that had caused all of it was still coming after them without showing the slightest sign of slowing down.

“He’s still behind us!”

One of the men shouted from the rear compartment.

The driver glanced at the mirror again and saw the burning motorcycle keeping pace with them.

“How the hell is he keeping up with us?”

He pushed the accelerator down as far as it would go.

The truck’s engine strained as the speed climbed higher, but Ghost Rider simply matched it.

No matter how aggressively the driver pushed the vehicle, the distance between them remained almost exactly the same.

The driver grabbed the radio.

“All personnel, prepare for contact!

The escort has been neutralized.

Repeat, the escort has been neutralized.

We’re on our own!”

The response from inside the truck was immediate.

The remaining guards grabbed their weapons and prepared themselves.

There were ten of them inside, all heavily armed and fully aware that whatever was following them had already destroyed an entire convoy.

The driver swerved sharply to the left, then suddenly back to the right, trying to force the motorcycle into a dangerous position.

It didn’t work.

Ghost Rider simply leaned with the movement, his motorcycle following the truck through every turn without losing control.

The driver swore under his breath.

“Come on…”

Ghost Rider moved closer.

The truck filled his vision.

He leaned forward, preparing to jump.

That’s when a small panel suddenly opened along the side of the armored truck.

Ghost Rider noticed it just in time.

A grenade launcher pushed through the opening.

The weapon fired.

The grenade came directly toward his head.

Ghost Rider tilted his head to the side.

The grenade passed within inches of his flaming skull before exploding behind him.

The blast swallowed the motorcycle in fire for a moment.

Inside the truck, the man operating the launcher immediately leaned toward the opening, squinting through the smoke.

“Did we get him?”

He pushed his face closer to the small opening.

One eye appeared in the gap as he tried to see through the flames.

Then a single shot came from the fire.

The bullet passed straight through the opening and struck him in the eye.

His body dropped backward.

The other guards froze.

The motorcycle emerged from the explosion almost immediately, still burning, with Ghost Rider completely unharmed.

The driver looked into the rear camera and felt his stomach drop.

The flaming rider was still coming.

Ghost Rider accelerated.

He moved alongside the truck, then jumped.

His hands caught the rear doors.

The motorcycle continued moving beneath him for several seconds before slowing on its own, apparently following him as though an invisible connection still existed between rider and machine.

Ghost Rider held onto the back of the truck as the vehicle continued speeding down the highway.

The metal beneath his hands began glowing.

Hellfire spread across the rear doors.

The temperature increased rapidly.

The guards inside could see the metal turning red.

One of them shouted,

“He’s getting in!”

Another raised his weapon.

“Everybody get ready!”

The rear doors began to melt.

Metal warped beneath Ghost Rider’s hands, dripping away in glowing fragments until a large opening formed in the back of the truck.

The nine remaining guards immediately aimed their weapons at the opening.

They were ready for him.

At least, they thought they were.

Behind them, the body of the man who had fired the grenade launcher remained motionless on the floor, his head reduced to little more than charred remains after Ghost Rider’s return shot.

Nobody had time to mourn him.

The opening widened.

Hellfire poured into the cargo compartment.

Then Ghost Rider stepped through.

The nine men tightened their grips on their weapons.

For a brief moment, the entire interior of the armored truck fell silent.

They were staring at a flaming skull standing in the doorway of their supposedly impenetrable vehicle.

Ghost Rider slowly looked across the room.

His burning eye sockets moved from one armed man to the next.

Then his gaze shifted beyond them.

Toward the frightened children restrained farther inside the truck.

The flames around him suddenly burned brighter.

The men had expected a monster.

What they were about to discover was that they were standing between that monster and the people he had come to save.

Ghost Rider didn’t even bother looking at the men for more than a second.

His attention had already moved past them.

The interior of the truck stretched farther than he had initially expected, and near the rear section he could see five children strapped into separate seats.

Thick restraints had been fastened around their arms, legs and bodies, with additional locking mechanisms keeping them firmly in place.

Then he saw her.

The girl from the vision.

She was still crying.

The moment her eyes met the burning skull standing at the entrance of the truck, she froze.

The other four children were staring at him as well, but their expressions were different.

None of them knew what he was.

They only knew that something terrifying had just entered the vehicle.

Ghost Rider could hardly blame them.

To them, he probably looked like the monster their captors had warned them about.

Then the nine remaining guards opened fire.

The narrow interior of the truck erupted with gunfire.

Bullets struck Ghost Rider from every direction, tearing into his coat and bouncing from his supernatural body.

Some disappeared into the flames surrounding him, while others struck his bones and fell harmlessly to the floor.

Ghost Rider didn’t stop.

He simply kept walking.

One of the guards lowered his rifle for a moment, his expression changing from confidence to disbelief.

“What the…”

Ghost Rider crossed the distance between them before the man could finish.

His hand closed around the man’s throat and lifted him from the floor.

The guard grabbed Ghost Rider’s wrist, desperately trying to free himself.

Hellfire spread across his body.

He screamed.

Ghost Rider tossed him aside.

Another man charged him, abandoning his weapon and deciding that perhaps brute force would work where bullets had failed.

It didn’t.

Ghost Rider stepped aside from the punch and caught the man’s arm.

His movements suddenly became far more precise.

The knowledge from the Tai Lung template guided his body, allowing him to recognize the vulnerable points almost instinctively.

But there was one major difference between using that technique normally and using it while completely transformed into Ghost Rider.

The energy moving through those strikes wasn’t ordinary chi.

It was infused with Hellfire.

The man staggered.

For an instant, nothing happened.

Then the heat inside his body became unbearable.

His body collapsed into ash, leaving only a brittle skeleton that hit the floor and broke apart under its own weight.

The remaining guards stopped shooting.

For perhaps the first time since the confrontation began, they understood what they were dealing with.

They weren’t fighting an unusually strong man.

They were fighting something that didn’t obey the rules they understood.

One of them raised his weapon again with trembling hands.

Ghost Rider was already there.

The fight that followed lasted less than a minute.

The narrow compartment became a blur of movement, gunfire and Hellfire.

Ghost Rider moved through the guards with frightening efficiency, knocking weapons away, breaking their formations and striking whenever they left an opening.

The firearms that had seemed so threatening moments ago became practically useless at close range.

One after another, the guards fell.

When the last man hit the floor, silence returned to the truck.

Ghost Rider stood among them.

His flaming skull slowly turned toward the five children.

They were still frozen.

Then his attention shifted.

He could hear the engine.

The driver was separated from the cargo compartment by a reinforced partition at the front of the truck.

Ghost Rider looked toward it.

Inside the driver’s cabin, the man had been trying to communicate with the guards ever since the shooting started.

“Respond!”

Static.

He tried again.

“Do you hear me?”

Nothing.

The driver glanced nervously at the rear camera.

The feed showed nothing but smoke and flickering flames.

He grabbed his mobile phone and quickly dialed the emergency number connected to the operation.

Someone answered.

“We’ve lost contact with the security team,”

The driver said hurriedly.

“The situation is worse than expected.

Ghost Rider is inside the truck.”

There was a pause on the other end.

“We’re sending instructions.”

“I need reinforcement now!”

“You won’t be receiving reinforcement.”

The driver’s expression changed.

“What?”

The voice on the other end became cold.

“If the materials fall into enemy hands, activate Code Zero.”

The driver stared at the road ahead.

His hands tightened around the steering wheel.

“Code Zero?”

“You know the procedure.”

The call ended.

The driver slowly looked toward the controls beside him.

His hand hovered over a small secured panel.

He knew exactly what Code Zero meant.

It wasn’t an escape protocol.

It wasn’t a distress signal.

It was the final contingency.

The truck belonged to Weapon X, a recently established black-budget genetic research operation being conducted under the umbrella of several military interests.

Officially, nothing connected to the project existed.

The children being transported were classified as experimental assets, their mutations considered valuable biological material rather than human lives.

And the people behind the project had no intention of allowing those assets to be captured.

The driver swallowed.

His eyes moved toward the indicator connected to the restraints in the rear compartment.

Every child had one.

A small explosive device had been incorporated into the restraint system around their necks.

If Code Zero was activated, the system would detonate them.

The driver hesitated.

He could hear something behind the reinforced partition.

Footsteps.

Slow.

Heavy.

Getting closer.

Ghost Rider had realized that there was still someone driving the truck.

The driver looked at the Code Zero control again.

His finger hovered over the activation switch.

Behind him, the footsteps stopped.

The driver’s breathing became shallow.

Ghost Rider’s hand pressed against it from the other side, and the reinforced steel that had been designed to withstand bullets and explosions started melting beneath his palm.

The driver stared at the rapidly spreading orange glow, his breathing becoming heavier as he looked toward the Code Zero control panel.

His hand slowly moved toward the activation button.

He knew what would happen if he pressed it.

He also knew what would happen if he didn’t.

The project didn’t care about the men working for it.

It didn’t care about the guards he’d already lost.

The only thing that mattered to them were the children in the back of the truck and whatever biological information could be extracted from them.

The driver’s finger was only a few inches from the button when another hand suddenly closed around his wrist.

He screamed.

The driver’s entire body jerked as Ghost Rider’s burning fingers tightened around his arm.

He turned his head slowly, and whatever words he had been about to say died in his throat.

Ghost Rider was standing directly behind him.

The burning skull was only inches away from his face.

The driver stared into those empty sockets, where Hellfire burned with an unnatural intensity.

For the first time in his life, he understood why people associated creatures like this with death itself.

Ghost Rider didn’t say a word.

He simply looked at him.

The driver’s body began trembling uncontrollably.

Then, in one brutal movement,

Ghost Rider grabbed him and tore him away from the controls.

The driver’s body was thrown through the open side of the cabin, disappearing from view as it hit the road outside.

Ghost Rider turned back toward the controls.

The Code Zero button remained untouched.

He stared at it for a moment before destroying the entire panel with his fist.

The mechanism shattered beneath the impact.

Whatever backup system the Facility had prepared was now useless.

Ghost Rider returned to the rear compartment.

The truck was still moving, but the damage it had suffered during the chase had made it increasingly unstable.

Ghost Rider walked toward the children, his flaming skull turning toward each of them.

The five children stared back.

They were terrified.

Ghost Rider couldn’t blame them.

He looked like something that belonged in a nightmare, and after everything these children had already endured, the last thing they needed was another frightening figure approaching them.

He lowered his weapon.

“It’s alright.”

His voice was deep, carrying the unnatural echo of his transformed state, but he deliberately kept it calm.

“I’m not here to hurt you.”

The children didn’t respond.

Ghost Rider walked toward the nearest restraint.

He punched the locking mechanism.

CRACK!

The metal shattered.

The child gasped as the restraint around his body released.

Ghost Rider moved to the next one.

Another punch.

Another lock broke.

One by one, he freed them.

When he reached the final child, the little girl from the vision was still staring at him.

Ghost Rider looked at her for a moment.

“You called for help.”

The girl blinked hearing him.

Her lips parted slightly.

“You…

heard me?”

Ghost Rider nodded.

“Yeah.”

She stared at him in wonder.

He didn’t look frightening to her anymore.

Not completely.

There was still fear in her eyes, but something else had replaced most of it.

Hope.

Ghost Rider turned toward the side of the truck and raised his chain.

Hellfire wrapped around it.

He swung it through the air.

A circular portal appeared.

Beyond it was the familiar black soil and orange-red sky of his dimension.

The children stared at the strange opening.

“Go through,”

Ghost Rider told them.

“You’ll be safe there.”

The first child hesitated.

Ghost Rider stepped aside, giving them room.

After seeing one of the others walk through, the remaining children slowly followed.

The little girl was the last.

She stopped in front of Ghost Rider.

She looked up at him.

“Thank you.”

Ghost Rider remained silent for a moment.

Then he gave her a small nod.

“Go.”

She smiled faintly before stepping through the portal.

Ghost Rider followed immediately afterward.

The portal opened inside the dimension.

Bruce and Betty were already outside their temporary shelter when they noticed the children coming through.

Betty’s expression changed instantly.

“Oh my God…”

She hurried toward them.

The children instinctively moved closer together, but Betty stopped a few feet away and lowered herself to their level.

“It’s okay.

You’re safe.”

Bruce quickly understood what had happened.

He looked toward Ghost Rider.

“Raja?”

Ghost Rider nodded.

“Weapon X.”

Bruce’s expression darkened.

“What?

Is that some child traffickers…”

“They were transporting these kids.

They were experimenting on them.”

Betty looked at the children again.

Her expression softened.

“Bring them here.”

Ghost Rider nodded.

“Can you take care of them?

For some time…”

Betty looked at the frightened children and then back at him.

“Yes.”

Bruce nodded as well.

“We’ll look after them.”

Ghost Rider trusted them.

For now, that was enough.

He opened another portal.

Before leaving, he looked back at the children one last time.

The little girl was watching him.

This time, she wasn’t crying.

She was smiling.

Ghost Rider stepped through the portal.

It closed behind him.

The moment he returned to the highway, Ghost Rider noticed that his motorcycle was still waiting nearby.

The machine stood in the middle of the road surrounded by flickering Hellfire, almost as though it had known exactly where he would return.

Ghost Rider walked toward it.

Then another engine sounded in the distance.

He stopped for a moment.

A second motorcycle came racing toward him.

It slowed as it approached the damaged truck.

The rider was wearing a form-fitting, stark black tactical jumpsuit and a helmet that concealed her face.

She brought the motorcycle to a stop and looked toward the ruined convoy.

Ghost Rider watched her carefully.

The woman slowly removed her helmet.

Her dark hair fell around her face as she looked directly at him.

Ghost Rider froze looking at her.

“….”

Even through the flames surrounding his skull, his surprise was obvious.

He recognized her.

There was no mistaking that face.

Natasha Romanoff.

The Black Widow.

She looked at the flaming figure standing beside the destroyed truck.

For a moment, neither of them spoke.

Natasha’s eyes moved from Ghost Rider to the wreckage behind him.

Then toward the bodies scattered across the road.

Finally, she looked back at him.

“So,”

She said calmly,

“you’re Ghost Rider.”

Ghost Rider stared at her.

Inside his mind, Zarathos gave a low chuckle.

“Interesting.

I can’t still understand how excited you are just staring at her bouncy flesh…”

Ghost Rider narrowed his burning eyes.

“You think?”

Natasha calmly stepped off her motorcycle.

She wasn’t pointing a weapon at him.

She wasn’t running away either.

Instead, she simply stood there, studying him.

“I’ve been looking for you.”

Ghost Rider tilted his head slightly.

“Why?”

Natasha gave him a faint smile.

“That’s what I’d like to ask you.

But seeing you…

I feel like fire inside me ignite…

Could it be love at first sight…”

The two stared at each other across the ruined highway, surrounded by burning vehicles and twisted metal.

Ghost Rider could clearly see she was trying to act seductive probably trying to get a information…

Or she need something from him.
