Meanwhile…
Stark Industries Headquarters, Manhattan…
On one of the upper executive floors, separated from the bustling engineering departments by glass walls, two engineers sat inside their private office.
The nameplate outside read:
Jagadish Ramanathan
Grace Parker Ramanathan
Advanced Weapons and Energy Research Division…
The office itself was neat but filled with blueprints, holographic projections, and countless engineering prototypes.
Jagadish stared intently at a holographic engine design, making small adjustments with practiced precision.
Across from him,
Grace compared energy output calculations on another display.
Despite coming from completely different worlds…
They had somehow built one life together.
Jagadish had been born in Chennai, India.
Grace had grown up in New York.
The two first met while studying engineering at MIT.
What began as academic rivalry slowly evolved into friendship.
Friendship became love.
Eventually…
Marriage.
Unfortunately…
Not everyone had approved.
Jagadish’s grandfather had fiercely opposed the marriage.
To him, marrying a foreigner meant abandoning tradition and family values.
Arguments followed.
Relationships fractured.
The two sides of the family stopped speaking to one another.
That silence lasted for years.
Until…
One tiny bundle wrapped in a blue blanket entered the world.
Raja.
The moment the old man held his grandson for the first time, every ounce of stubbornness melted away.
The child had unknowingly reunited an entire family.
Thinking about it now still brought a faint smile to Jagadish’s face.
His son had always been the bridge connecting everyone.
Now at present…
Bzz…
His phone vibrated inside his pocket.
Without looking away from the hologram, Jagadish pulled it out.
The screen displayed a bright red notification.
[Vehicle Tracking Alert
Signal Lost
Location: Harlem]
Jagadish frowned looking at the notification.
“…That’s odd.”
Grace looked up.
“What happened?”
“The tracker inside Raj’s Camaro.”
“It suddenly stopped transmitting.”
She shrugged lightly.
“Probably a network issue.”
“Signal interference isn’t uncommon in Manhattan.”
Jagadish nodded his head.
“Maybe…”
Still…
An uneasy feeling settled inside his chest.
He immediately pressed Raja’s contact.
The phone rang once.
Then disconnected.
The number you are trying to reach is currently unavailable…
He frowned deeper.
Grace also tried.
The same result.
“…Out of reach?”
The couple exchanged worried glances.
“….”
“….”
Before either could speak…
The office door suddenly slid open.
A fellow engineer rushed inside, breathing heavily.
“Jagadish!
Grace!
You need to see this!”
Both immediately stood.
“What happened?”
“A monster battle…
It’s happening in Harlem.”
For a moment…
Time seemed to freeze.
Harlem.
The exact place where Raja’s tracker had disappeared.
A terrible feeling gripped both of them.
Grace hurried to the television mounted on the office wall.
The live news broadcast appeared instantly.
Smoke covered entire city blocks.
Buildings had collapsed.
Military helicopters filled the sky.
In the center of it all…
Two gigantic green monsters continued tearing the city apart.
“The Hulk!”
“…and another creature the military is calling Abomination!
casualties continue to rise…
civilians are being evacuated…”
“…”
Grace’s face turned completely pale.
“…Raj…”
Her knees nearly gave out.
Fortunately, Jagadish caught her before she could collapse.
“He’ll be alright.”
He repeated the words.
Not because he believed them.
Because he desperately needed to.
“…He’ll be alright.”
Word spread astonishingly fast throughout Stark Industries.
Within minutes…
Engineers from neighboring departments began gathering outside their office.
Some offered water.
Others simply stood nearby in silent support.
Everyone knew Raja.
Perhaps not personally.
But they had watched him grow up.
The little boy who occasionally visited Stark Tower after school.
The child who loved dismantling broken gadgets just to see how they worked.
No one wanted to believe he might be trapped in Harlem.
Elsewhere…
The private elevator doors opened.
Tony Stark stepped onto the executive floor wearing a charcoal-gray suit.
Beside him walked Pepper Potts, carrying her ever-present tablet.
Only a few minutes earlier…
Agent Phil Coulson had briefed Tony regarding the rapidly escalating Harlem incident.
General Ross had insisted the military could contain the situation.
Tony had hated every word.
“Military control.”
He scoffed while walking.
“That’s usually code for someone making everything worse.”
Pepper sighed hearing his words.
“Tony…
I’m serious.”
“If SHIELD already knows…
It means things are bad.”
As they entered the executive hallway,
Tony noticed an unusual gathering outside one particular office.
He stopped.
“…JARVIS.”
“What’s going on?”
The calm British voice immediately answered through the speakers embedded throughout the building.
“Sir, employees Jagadish Ramanathan and Grace Parker Ramanathan have received notification that their son’s vehicle tracking beacon ceased transmission in Harlem shortly after the battle began.”
Tony’s expression changed.
“…Their son?”
“Correct, sir.”
“Raja Ramanathan.
Sixteen years old.”
Pepper looked toward the distraught couple.
“…That’s awful.”
Tony remained silent for several seconds.
Then his eyes hardened.
“JARVIS.”
“Find the kid.
I want satellite feeds.”
“Traffic cameras.
Everything.”
“Already searching, sir.”
Tony turned toward the workshop.
“Get the Mark III ready.”
“If Ross can’t control this…
I will.”
Mechanical platforms immediately began preparing the armor.
Piece by piece.
The suit slowly descended from its storage gantry.
Tony stepped onto the assembly platform.
Hydraulic arms extended.
Metal plates began locking into place around his legs.
Then his torso.
His arms.
The familiar suit-up sequence had begun.
Each passing second felt agonizingly slow.
Suddenly…
JARVIS spoke again.
“Sir…”
Tony looked up.
“You found him?”
A nearby holographic display activated.
Traffic camera footage appeared.
The screen showed Raja’s yellow Chevrolet Camaro stopping in the middle of the road.
Then…
A missile.
Deflected from the battlefield.
Spinning uncontrollably.
Straight toward the civilian vehicle.
The footage ended in a massive explosion.
Silence filled the workshop.
Pepper covered her mouth.
Jagadish and Grace, who had also seen the footage from outside the office, stood frozen.
Tony didn’t say a word.
His jaw tightened.
His fists slowly clenched inside the partially assembled armor.
For just a brief moment…
His thoughts drifted backward.
Afghanistan.
Stark missiles.
Villages.
Innocent civilians.
People dying because of weapons carrying his family’s name.
He had sworn that would never happen again.
Yet today…
Another civilian had apparently died.
Not because terrorists stole Stark weapons.
But because the military had fired them.
Outside, JARVIS continued reporting.
“Current estimates indicate civilian casualties continue to increase as the engagement progresses.”
Tony’s impatience grew with every passing second.
“Hurry up…”
He muttered as another section of armor locked into place.
“Come on…”
The final components had yet to attach when something on the holographic surveillance feed caught JARVIS’ attention.
The AI zoomed in automatically.
“Sir…”
“There appears to be…
an anomaly.”
Meanwhile, Harlem had descended into complete chaos.
The battle between the Hulk and the Abomination continued to escalate with every passing second.
Buildings collapsed.
Military vehicles burned.
Helicopters circled overhead while soldiers desperately tried to evacuate civilians trapped in the combat zone.
No one noticed the burning remains of a yellow Chevrolet Camaro lying abandoned several streets away.
At first…
Nothing happened.
Then…
A faint crimson glow appeared beneath the twisted wreckage.
The scattered pieces of the destroyed vehicle suddenly trembled.
Clink…
One small metal fragment slid across the asphalt.
Then another.
Then another.
Within seconds, every shattered piece of the Camaro began vibrating violently.
The soldiers nearby frowned.
“What the…”
The fragments suddenly shot across the road.
Like magnets responding to an invisible force.
Steel.
Glass.
Engine components.
Doors.
The shattered chassis.
Even tiny screws and bolts.
Everything flew back toward the destroyed vehicle.
CLANG!
CLANG!
CLANG!
The wreckage began rebuilding itself.
Not repairing.
But they were Transforming.
The twisted metal reshaped itself into something far more sinister.
The sleek body of the Camaro elongated.
The hood became sharper.
Its frame grew broader and lower.
Black infernal steel replaced ordinary alloy.
The wheels thickened into monstrous tires engraved with glowing demonic runes.
Orange-red flames erupted from every seam.
The once-yellow paint completely disappeared beneath burning black metal.
The flames themselves changed.
They no longer spread wildly.
Instead…
They clung tightly to the vehicle as though alive.
Controlled.
Obedient.
The headlights slowly lit up.
No…
They weren’t headlights anymore.
Two burning crimson eyes glared from the front of the infernal vehicle.
Inside the driver’s seat…
The fire condensed.
Bones materialized from living flame.
A burning skull slowly emerged.
Its hollow eye sockets ignited with blazing orange-red fire.
A thin stream of hellfire escaped between its teeth as it slowly raised its head.
The transformation was complete.
The Ghost Rider opened his flaming jaws.
A slow breath escaped.
Instead of air…
A torrent of blazing hellfire flowed from his mouth.
The infernal car’s engine suddenly came alive.
VROOOOOOOOOM!!
The sound resembled an enraged beast awakening after centuries of slumber.
The Ghost Rider rested one flaming hand upon the steering wheel.
His other hand gripped the gear lever.
Without hesitation…
He shifted gears.
Then buried the accelerator.
ROOOOOOOAR!!
The infernal Camaro exploded forward.
Hellfire erupted beneath its tires.
The streets themselves ignited wherever it passed.
Abandoned civilian vehicles became blurs as the Ghost Rider weaved effortlessly through them at impossible speed.
Every drift left burning tire marks that refused to extinguish.
“….”
“….”
“….”
Back at the battlefield…
SLASH!!
Abomination’s jagged elbow pierced into Hulk’s chest.
The bone spike tore through muscle.
Hulk let out a thunderous roar.
Normally…
Such an injury would have forced him backward.
Not this time.
Instead…
Hulk’s massive fist shot forward.
BOOOOOOM!!
The punch landed squarely against Abomination’s jaw.
The monster was launched dozens of feet backward.
His body skipped violently across the broken road before crashing into several overturned military vehicles.
Hulk didn’t stop.
With another earth-shaking roar, he leaped after him.
The asphalt exploded beneath his feet.
He landed directly atop Abomination.
Then came a relentless barrage.
Punch.
Punch.
Punch.
Each strike cratered the ground.
Abomination barely managed to block several blows before Hulk grabbed a nearby car.
With one hand.
Like it weighed nothing.
“HULK SMASH!”
The vehicle came crashing down like an oversized hammer.
BOOOM!!
Another car followed.
Then another.
Abomination roared in fury as twisted metal buried him beneath the wreckage.
Even so…
His tactical mind remained active.
His eyes suddenly spotted something in the distance.
Hovering above the battlefield.
General Ross’s command helicopter.
Inside…
General Ross.
And beside him…
Betty Ross.
Abomination’s expression twisted into a cruel grin.
“If I can’t beat the monster…
I’ll make him suffer.”
With a powerful leap,
Abomination abandoned Hulk entirely and sprinted toward the nearest skyscraper.
He scaled its walls with frightening agility.
“Hulk!”
General Ross shouted.
“Stop him!”
Hulk immediately realized his target.
His eyes widened.
“B…
Betty…”
An enraged roar erupted from his throat.
“HULK!!”
Without hesitation, Hulk launched himself after Abomination.
The entire building shook beneath his jump.
Abomination reached the rooftop first.
Seeing the helicopter approaching overhead, he crouched.
Then leaped.
The monstrous figure shot through the sky.
His outstretched hand reached toward the helicopter’s landing skid.
Inside the aircraft…
Betty’s eyes widened in horror.
“Dad!”
Just then…
A deafening engine roar echoed throughout Harlem.
Every head instinctively turned.
Something impossible was racing across the side of a nearby skyscraper.
An infernal black Camaro.
Its wheels clung to the vertical wall as though gravity itself no longer existed.
Hellfire poured from its tires, leaving blazing trails across the building’s surface.
The Ghost Rider shifted gears once more.
The engine screamed.
At the building’s edge…
He never slowed down.
The infernal Camaro launched into open air.
Like a flaming meteor.
Time itself seemed to freeze.
Soldiers.
Pilots.
General Ross.
Betty.
Hulk.
Even Abomination.
Every pair of eyes followed the impossible sight.
“…What the hell?”
The burning Camaro hurtled straight toward Abomination.
Before the monster could react…
BOOOOOOOOOOM!!
The infernal vehicle slammed directly into his ribs with devastating force.
A sickening crack echoed through the air.
Abomination’s eyes widened.
“….”
His leap instantly lost momentum as both he and the flaming Camaro were carried away together.
Hulk, already mid-jump, immediately twisted his enormous body.
Rather than continuing toward the helicopter…
He deliberately altered his trajectory at the last possible moment.
Avoiding any chance of colliding with Betty.
The helicopter rocked violently from the shockwave but remained airborne.
Meanwhile…
The Ghost Rider and Abomination plummeted toward the streets below.
Hundreds of feet.
Then…
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!
The impact resembled a small meteor strike.
The ground collapsed beneath them.
A massive explosion erupted.
Concrete, steel, and fire shot into the sky.
The infernal Camaro drifted through the expanding flames, its tires screaming across shattered asphalt before finally coming to a smooth stop.
Smoke rolled across the ruined street.
For several long seconds…
No one moved.
The battlefield, which moments earlier had been filled with roaring monsters and exploding weapons, fell into stunned silence.
“….”
“….”
“….”
Every soldier.
Every civilian.
Every pilot.
Every camera.
Every pair of eyes…
Remained fixed on the thick wall of smoke.
Waiting to see…
What had just arrived.
