“A few days ago, I heard some classmates say that Parker and Harry applied to Empire State University too.” “Barring anything unexpected, their applications should’ve been accepted as well.” “Parker’s grades aren’t any worse than mine, so he’ll definitely get in.” “As for Harry…” “His father is the chairman of Oscorp.

Even if his grades weren’t good enough, he could still get admitted with a recommendation letter.” Gwen lay down and rested her head on Roy’s lap as she spoke.

Roy gently stroked her hair and smiled.Full novel: Marvel: Starting as the One-Tail Jinchūriki — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Then the three of you can keep being classmates for the next few years.” In the comics, Gwen only met Harry and Flash Thompson after enrolling at Empire State University.

Through Thompson, she later got to know Peter.

As they interacted more and more, the group gradually became close.

After learning that Peter rode a motorcycle to school and had even defeated the Green Goblin, Gwen developed a strong interest in him, and their relationship progressed from ordinary friends to extremely close friends.

However, before the two of them officially became a couple, Peter was attracted to Mary Jane and went on several dates with her.

As he got to know Mary Jane better, Peter felt that she was too much of a “party girl.” So he stopped dating Mary Jane and began seeing Gwen instead.

After a date at a science exhibition, they officially started dating, progressing from extremely close friends of the opposite sex to a couple.

However, because Peter frequently stood her up, their relationship was never particularly stable.

Eventually, Norman discovered that Parker was Spider-Man.

He kidnapped Gwen, brought her to the tower of the George Washington Bridge, and threw her off.

Parker arrived in time and caught Gwen’s leg with his webbing.

But when he lowered her to safety, he discovered that she was already dead.

Enraged, Parker defeated Norman.

Just as he was about to kill him, however, Peter gave up on revenge.

Just like in the movie, Norman tried to kill Parker with his glider— Only to impale himself instead.

Put simply, the causes of Gwen’s and Green Goblin’s deaths in the comics were essentially the same as in the movies.

The difference was that in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, the one who kidnapped Gwen and threw her from the tower wasn’t the original Green Goblin, Norman Osborn.

It was the second Green Goblin— Harry Osborn.

After chatting for more than ten minutes, Gwen sat up.

“I need to go to work.” “Want me to take you?” Roy asked.

“Are you driving me, or using your superpower?” Gwen asked.

“Either works for me.” Roy replied.

“Use your superpower.

I like the feeling of teleporting.” Gwen smiled.

“All right.

Teleportation it is.” Roy replied.

Once Gwen picked up her handbag, Roy wrapped an arm around her waist.

Without any effort, he locked onto a Flying Raijin formula near Oscorp Tower and activated the Flying Raijin Jutsu.

Although Roy had also placed a Flying Raijin formula on the roof of Oscorp Tower itself, he didn’t take Gwen there.

Instead, the two of them appeared inside a small alley near the building.

“Call me when you get off work.” “I’ll come pick you up.” Roy released Gwen’s waist and spoke calmly.

“Mm-hmm.” Gwen nodded.

Then she gave him a quick goodbye kiss, lightly brushing her lips against his cheek.

Afterward, she left the alley and headed toward Oscorp Tower.

Roy watched until Gwen entered the building.

Then he activated the Flying Raijin Jutsu again.

He didn’t return to his villa on the Upper East Side.

Instead, he teleported to his detective agency in Hell’s Kitchen.

After arriving at the agency, the first thing Roy did was log onto the dark web forum and take a look around.

Finding no commissions that interested him, he took out a controller and prepared to relax with a game.

At that moment— The doorbell suddenly rang.

“Byakugan!” “Activate!” The instant he heard the bell, Roy decisively activated the Byakugan.

Veins bulged around his eyes as they turned completely white.

With the Byakugan active, the scene outside the door appeared clearly in his vision.

Three people stood outside.

Two men and one woman.

More importantly— All three were wearing military uniforms.

The moment Roy saw them, he knew another system-approved commission had arrived.

He had never seen the middle-aged man or middle-aged woman before.

But he had met the gray-haired elderly man once at the Pentagon.

The old man was none other than— Lieutenant General Thaddeus Ross of the United States Army.

Roy had never dealt directly with General Ross before.

However, when he’d negotiated the ceasefire agreement with the military, Ross had been one of the Army’s representatives.

They had met once.

Roy deactivated the Byakugan, placed the game controller back inside the drawer, and walked over to open the door.

Before Roy could speak, General Ross asked, “Would it be convenient to talk inside?” “Of course.” Roy stepped aside and made an inviting gesture.

General Ross entered first and sat down on one of the sofas in the reception area.

“Would any of you like something to drink?” Roy asked, looking over the three visitors.

“Thank you, but no.” General Ross answered immediately.

Roy took a bottle of whisky and a glass from the liquor cabinet, then sat down opposite Ross.

After pouring himself a glass and taking a small sip, he continued, “General, you came all the way here from the Pentagon to see me.” “I’m guessing you’ve run into a difficult problem.” “Go ahead.” “What do you want me to do?” General Ross didn’t hesitate.

“I want you to help us capture a fugitive.” The secretary standing behind him took a tablet from her bag and handed it to Roy.

Once the screen lit up, a video began playing.

It was footage of a capture operation.

The location appeared to be a dimly lit factory.

The video was short, only four or five minutes long, and soon came to an end.

Although the footage shook violently and the lighting was poor, Roy had already seen enough to know exactly who they had been trying to capture.

Just as he’d guessed— It was footage of an operation to capture Banner.

Or more accurately— The Hulk.

Once the video ended, General Ross spoke with a grave expression.

“This man is a top-priority fugitive who stole classified military information.” “In addition to stealing military secrets, he’s also suspected of murdering two scientists employed by the military, one military officer, an Idaho state trooper, and two Canadian hunters.” “We’ve been pursuing him for five years.” “One week ago, we finally discovered his whereabouts.” “As you saw, the capture operation failed.” “We’ve lost track of him again.” “However, we can determine where he’ll appear next.” “We want you to assist us in capturing him.” The system immediately completed its evaluation.

A new commission appeared before Roy.

[Commission: Assist General Ross in Capturing Bruce Banner] [Commission Status: Incomplete] [Commission Reward: Three-Tomoe Sharingan] Finally, a Sharingan reward!

Roy exclaimed inwardly.

Then he looked at General Ross.

“No problem.” “Fifty million dollars.” “Agreed.” General Ross answered immediately.

Fifty million dollars was certainly no small amount.

But before coming to Hell’s Kitchen to meet Roy, Ross had already been mentally prepared for a price like this.
