“Can’t you slow down a little?” Lorna followed behind Roy, panting heavily and looking thoroughly annoyed.

“I’m already matching your pace.” Roy glanced back at her and replied calmly.

He had deliberately limited himself to an ordinary person’s running speed rather than using his superhuman speed.Full novel: Marvel: Starting With Fish Fish Fruit — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Otherwise, the moment they left the school, he would have vanished from Lorna’s sight.

“You’re the one who said you’d take me with you!” Lorna immediately protested.

“Let me correct you.

I didn’t ask you to come.

You insisted on coming yourself.” Roy’s tone remained perfectly calm.

For some reason, though, his response immediately made Lorna even more irritated.

This bastard is doing it on purpose!

He’s deliberately trying to piss me off!

Lorna shot Roy a fierce glare.

Then she said, “I need a break.” Without waiting for his response, she immediately sat down on the ground.

Seeing this, Roy sighed helplessly.

After dinner in the cafeteria, he had deliberately given Lorna plenty of time to rest, waiting half an hour before they left the school.

He had assumed that during those thirty minutes, Lorna would think through what she needed to do.

Reality proved that he had overestimated her.

They had already been traveling for half an hour, yet they were only about five kilometers away from the school.

Lorna might have been a mutant, but physically, she wasn’t much different from an ordinary person.

Running five kilometers in half an hour was already close to her limit.

Looking at Lorna as she sat on the ground rubbing her calves, Roy thought for a moment and decided to tell her what she should do.

Otherwise, at this pace, it would take them at least another two hours to reach the forest where he usually trained.

“Do you know the biggest difference between humans and animals?” Roy asked.

Hearing the question, Lorna looked up at him and replied disdainfully, “Of course I know the difference between humans and animals.” “I’m not in the mood to answer stupid questions right now.” Lorna’s mood wasn’t merely bad.

It was downright terrible.

She was already starting to regret the decision she had made back in the cafeteria.

Roy ignored her disdainful expression and continued, “Then do you know the biggest difference between mutants and ordinary humans?” “What exactly are you trying to say?” “Just spit it out.

I’m not in the mood to play twenty questions with you!” The heavy physical exertion had made Lorna noticeably more irritable.

“Compared to ordinary humans, the biggest difference is that mutants have superpowers.” “Did it never occur to you to use your ability to keep up?” Use my ability?

The moment Roy said that, Lorna frowned.

“My power isn’t physical enhancement.

Using it wouldn’t help.” Clearly, she still hadn’t understood.

“I know your ability isn’t physical enhancement.” “You can control magnetic fields, and you can even use them to create defensive force fields around yourself.” “Do you know what electromagnetic levitation is?” “Even if you can’t create an electromagnetic field strong enough to make yourself fly yet, you can still manipulate metal and use it to carry yourself forward.” “Your ability can do a lot of things.

It has enormous potential and a wide range of applications.” “Stop thinking all you can do is throw metal balls at people.” “Don’t waste your talent.” … Lorna stared at Roy in surprise.

She had assumed he was mocking her for overestimating herself.

Instead, he had actually been trying to point her in the right direction.

Realizing that her tone earlier had been a little excessive, she slowly said, “Sorry.

I got a little worked up.” “Forget the apology.

If you really feel bad about it, then use your ability properly and keep up later.” “It’s still not that late.

Rest for ten minutes.” With that, Roy took a bottle of mineral water from his system storage space and tossed it to her.

After catching the bottle, Lorna looked at him with a complicated expression and remained silent.

Ten minutes later.

The two of them set off again.

This time, Roy no longer limited himself to an ordinary person’s pace.

However, he still didn’t accelerate to his maximum speed.

Even though he increased his speed considerably, reaching roughly seventy to eighty kilometers per hour, Lorna remained firmly behind him.

At that moment, she was standing on a newly created metal board shaped like a skateboard, pushing herself to keep up with Roy using everything she had.

She could have made the metal board move even faster.

What limited her speed now wasn’t her mutant ability.

It was her body.

She could control the metal board beneath her feet with great precision, but if she increased the speed any further, she wouldn’t be able to maintain her balance.

In fact, she was already having a somewhat difficult time as it was.

A little over ten minutes later, they finally reached their destination.

This… Looking at the devastated forest in front of her, Lorna’s large, beautiful eyes widened in disbelief.

The lighting at night wasn’t very good, but she could still clearly see the enormous craters that resembled meteor impact sites.

Besides those craters, she could also see trees scattered everywhere, many of them looking as though they had been sliced apart by enormous blades.

The scene before her looked nothing like the training area she had imagined.

She knew Roy’s off-campus training grounds couldn’t possibly be like the underground training room at the school.

But she had never expected his training area to look like this.

“Disappointed?” Roy’s voice suddenly came from beside her.

“No.” “Just surprised.” Lorna quickly replied.

“You can train somewhere nearby.

Don’t wander around.” “If you run off somewhere and get caught in the crossfire, I’m not taking responsibility.” With that, Roy began undressing right in front of her.

Seeing what he was doing, Lorna immediately jumped in surprise and unconsciously took several steps backward.

“What are you doing?!” “Nothing.

I just don’t want to ruin my clothes.” After removing his jacket, shirt, shoes, and the rest until only his pants remained, Roy looked at her seriously.

“What you’re about to see might be a little frightening, so you’d better prepare yourself.” “Oh, and you should keep what happens tonight a secret.” “Other than me, you’re the first person to see my transformation.” Transformation?

The moment Roy said that, a rumor circulating around the school flashed through Lorna’s mind.

A secondary awakening!

The reason Roy, who had always been low-key and unremarkable before, had suddenly become so powerful was supposedly because he had undergone a secondary awakening.

There was no actual evidence proving it, but quite a few students firmly believed that was why Roy had suddenly become so strong.

The moment he mentioned transforming, Lorna immediately connected it to that rumor.

Under her watchful gaze, Roy began transforming into his hybrid form.

The Azure Dragon Power hidden within his body surged rapidly through him.

His appearance underwent a dramatic transformation.

In the blink of an eye, the transformation was complete.

Branching golden dragon horns.

Sharp dragon claws.

Azure scales.

A thick, powerful dragon tail.

Seeing Roy’s hybrid form, Lorna instinctively raised both hands and covered her mouth.
