Roy didn’t pay much attention to the joke.
Clarice, however, wasn’t nearly as composed.
The moment Bobby finished speaking, she lowered her head shyly.
That doesn’t make sense.
Didn’t she grow up in America?
Why does she get embarrassed so easily?
Roy didn’t know much about Clarice’s life experiences.
But barring anything unusual, with her appearance, she should have received plenty of attention from boys while growing up.
Even if she had never dated anyone before, she shouldn’t blush this easily just from a little teasing.
Just like Mrs.
Lee at the restaurant, Clarice’s shy reaction successfully misled Bobby and Rogue into assuming that she and Roy were on a date.
Looking at Clarice’s flushed face, Roy turned to Bobby.
“You two came to watch a movie too?” “Yeah.
I heard there’s a pretty good movie playing recently, so we came over to kill some time.” Bobby quickly replied.
“Since we ran into each other, why don’t we all watch it together?
We can head back to school together afterward too.” Rogue, standing beside Bobby, immediately suggested.
“What do you think, Clarice?” Roy asked.
“Whatever you decide is fine.” Clarice answered softly.
Although they were all classmates who saw each other constantly at school, Clarice still felt a little nervous around Bobby and Rogue.
“Then we’ll watch it together.” “The girls can pick the movie.
The guys will handle the snacks.” Roy quickly decided.
“Sure.” Bobby and Rogue answered at the same time.
Although they hadn’t been together for very long, it was obvious that they had already developed the kind of unspoken coordination couples often had.
After the movie ended, Roy drove Clarice back to the school.
Bobby and Rogue didn’t ride with them.
Instead, they followed behind in another car.
Unlike Roy, however, the car Bobby was driving wasn’t his own.
It belonged to Cyclops.
Cyclops might have been a teacher, but he was also fairly understanding.
As long as there was a reasonable excuse, he didn’t mind lending his car to the students.
Of course, there was no chance he would lend out any of his favorites.
Before long, all four of them returned to the school.
After escorting Clarice back to her dormitory, Roy headed into the forest behind the school by himself.
Ever since learning that he had obtained the Fish-Fish Fruit, Mythical Zoan, Model: Azure Dragon, he had wanted to experience what it felt like to transform into his hybrid and beast forms.
Although his current strength was nowhere near Kaido’s, the transformations into hybrid and beast forms had been instinctively ingrained in him the moment he obtained the Devil Fruit.
After confirming that no one was nearby, Roy took a deep breath.
Then, with a thought, he initiated the transformation.
Hybrid Form!
He didn’t choose to transform into his full beast form.
Although the beast form undoubtedly looked more imposing, transforming into it would create far too much commotion.
Roy had no intention of letting anyone know yet that he could transform into an Azure Dragon.
In the blink of an eye, his appearance changed completely.
Azure scales spread across his body.
His hands and feet transformed into dragon claws.
A pair of sharp, branching dragon horns emerged from his forehead, while a thick, powerful dragon tail appeared behind him.
After transforming into his hybrid form, it wasn’t only Roy’s appearance that changed.
His physical attributes also increased considerably.
Every Zoan Devil Fruit user possessed three fundamental forms: human form, beast form, and hybrid form.
There wasn’t much to explain about human form.
It was simply the user’s ordinary human state.
Beast form referred to completely transforming into the animal represented by the Devil Fruit and gaining all of that animal’s characteristics.
“Hybrid form, meanwhile, retained the basic human body while incorporating beast-like features.” After transforming into hybrid form, the user’s physical attributes would increase, while the body parts that took on beast characteristics would receive corresponding enhancements.
Of the three transformation states, human form was undoubtedly the weakest.
Hybrid and beast forms each had their own advantages.
Because hybrid form still retained the user’s human structure, techniques that could only be performed in human form could still be used.
Roy’s current hybrid form was a perfect example.
After transforming, he retained the flexibility and mobility of his human form while also gaining the offensive options of his beast form.
He could attack using his dragon claws, tail, horns, and other transformed body parts.
Compared to a complete beast transformation, hybrid form was more balanced.
Because it could use both techniques suited to a human body and attacks unique to the beast form, Roy personally preferred hybrid form out of the three.
The full beast form wasn’t necessarily weaker.
However, after fully transforming, only techniques compatible with that beast form could be used.
Although that reduced the variety of available techniques, beast form allowed the user to fully unleash the power of the transformed creature.
After turning into his dragon-humanoid hybrid form, Roy simply took a moment to feel out its strength.
Then he canceled the transformation and returned to human form.

Before he knew it, an entire week had gone by.
On the surface, Roy spent the week exactly as he had before, living an ordinary school life.
In reality, however, he trained constantly throughout the week, working hard to develop the abilities of the Fish-Fish Fruit, Mythical Zoan, Model: Azure Dragon.
He had never undergone this kind of training before.
But with Kaido serving as a reference, Roy quickly came up with a training plan.
First, learn Kaido’s techniques.
Then, based on his own circumstances, develop new techniques suited specifically to himself.
After a week of continuous practice, he successfully mastered his first Devil Fruit combat technique.
Blast Breath!
Unlike Kaido’s Blast Breath, Roy’s current version could be used while he was in hybrid form.
Of course, because of the difference in body size, a Blast Breath unleashed in hybrid form couldn’t compare to one Kaido used while fully transformed.
Kaido’s Blast Breath in beast form could attack targets several kilometers away, instantly vaporize the top of a mountain, and could even blast straight through the entirety of Onigashima.
Roy’s current strength was nowhere near Kaido’s.
Combined with the enormous size difference between hybrid and beast forms, his hybrid-form Blast Breath was naturally much less powerful.
Of course, “much less powerful” was only in comparison to Kaido’s Blast Breath.
Against ordinary humans and mutants who weren’t particularly powerful, Roy’s hybrid-form Blast Breath was no weaker than a missile.
Blast Breath wasn’t merely the first Devil Fruit combat technique Roy had mastered.
It was also his first long-range attack and his first energy-based offensive technique.
Aside from Blast Breath, Roy had gained one other major benefit from his week of training.
His physical attributes had become even more astonishing.
