What Clarice had said was true.

She and Roy really were just ordinary classmates.

But the shy expression on her face still caused Mrs.Full novel: Marvel: Starting With Fish Fish Fruit — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Lee to misunderstand.

After hearing Clarice’s answer, Mrs.

Lee gave her a knowing look, smiled as she glanced between Roy and Clarice, and slowly said, “Clarice, this classmate of yours is quite handsome.

You should bring him here for dinner more often.” “Eating together is much better than eating alone.

It won’t feel so lonely.” With that, Mrs.

Lee picked up the menu and walked away before Clarice could respond.

Although Mrs.

Lee had left, the embarrassed blush on Clarice’s delicate face still hadn’t faded.

Only after more than ten seconds did she finally raise her head and look at Roy.

“Mrs.

Lee likes to joke around.” “I think she was right, though.

Eating with someone else really is better than eating alone.

It doesn’t feel as lonely.” “If you ever come here again, you can invite me.

Compared to the food in the school cafeteria, I still prefer traditional Chinese food.” Roy spoke with a completely serious expression.

Although the original Roy hadn’t interacted much with Clarice before, the current Roy was not the original owner of this body.

The moment he saw that Clarice looked exactly like a younger version of that woman, he had quietly made up his mind.

As a transmigrator, he certainly had no intention of remaining single in the Marvel Universe.

There were quite a few female students at the mutant school, but not many truly matched his tastes.

Clarice, with her distinctly Chinese features and exceptionally beautiful appearance, naturally fit his preferences best.

Transmigrating wasn’t going to suddenly change the tastes he had always had.

“Mm-hmm.” “I like the food here too.” Clarice quickly replied.

Since there weren’t many customers in the restaurant, the dishes Clarice ordered were served soon afterward.

As Roy ate the authentic Chinese dishes in front of him, he casually steered the conversation and subtly gathered information from Clarice.

Clarice might already have been seventeen and close to adulthood, but for Roy, getting the information he wanted from her wasn’t difficult at all.

Before long, he finally figured out what had happened the previous night.

It was more or less what he had guessed.

Morgan had taken a liking to Clarice and wanted her to become his girlfriend.

Although Morgan was reasonably good-looking and had some popularity at school, he simply wasn’t Clarice’s type.

Clarice had already rejected him many times before.

But instead of giving up, Morgan had only pursued her more aggressively.

Last night, perhaps because his friends had egged him on, or maybe because he had simply gotten carried away, Morgan had insisted on taking Clarice into town to watch a movie with him.

Of course Clarice refused without hesitation.

But even after being rejected, Morgan clearly had no intention of giving up.

He tried to force Clarice into agreeing to the “date.” That was when the original Roy stepped in.

What happened afterward was straightforward.

After a heated verbal confrontation, the original Roy and Morgan agreed to settle their dispute during today’s training class.

If Morgan lost, he would have to apologize to Clarice and promise never to harass her again.

But if the original Roy lost, he would have to submit a request to withdraw from the school and leave voluntarily.

Roy had no idea why the original owner of this body would agree to such terms.

But according to Clarice, in that situation, the original Roy hadn’t really had much of a choice.

Otherwise, Morgan and the lackeys accompanying him would have ganged up on Roy right then and there.

Besides finally learning what had happened last night, Roy also discovered why Clarice had come to the mutant school in the first place.

Up until half a year ago, Clarice had been living with her foster father, Sabretooth.

Although Sabretooth wasn’t her biological father, he had still raised and cared for Clarice as though she were his own daughter.

Then, one night half a year ago, Sabretooth suddenly took Clarice away from the place where they had been living.

At the time, Clarice had no idea where he was taking her.

It wasn’t until they arrived in this town that Sabretooth told her he needed to leave for a while to deal with something.

He instructed her to join the mutant school and wait there until he returned.

After leaving all the money he had with Clarice and eating lunch with her at this very restaurant, Sabretooth walked away without looking back.

Even now, Clarice had no idea where Sabretooth had gone or when he would return.

Although she was deeply worried about him, she knew that the only thing she could do now was remain at the mutant school and wait for him.

After listening to Clarice’s story, Roy had only two thoughts.

First, this definitely wasn’t the pure X-Men film universe.

Although both Sabretooth and Clarice existed in the X-Men films, Sabretooth certainly wasn’t Clarice’s foster father there.

Second, Sabretooth seemed to be a surprisingly responsible foster father.

Clarice hadn’t explained in detail how Sabretooth had taken care of her in the past, but her tone and expression alone were enough to prove how worried she was about his safety.

If Sabretooth had treated her badly, there was no way she would be this concerned about him now.

After they finished dinner, Clarice was just about to pay when Mrs.

Lee informed her that Roy had already settled the bill.

Seeing Clarice look at him in confusion, Roy smiled and said, “I’m obsessive about one thing.

If I go out to dinner with a beautiful girl and she pays the bill, it makes me uncomfortable all over.” “But we agreed that I was treating you tonight.” Clarice immediately protested.

“And you did.” “You treated me, and I paid.

Those are two separate things.

There’s no contradiction.” Roy said it as though it were the most natural thing in the world.

Clarice knew perfectly well that Roy was twisting the meaning of the words.

But instead of getting angry, she actually felt a little happy inside.

Because Roy had just called her a beautiful girl.

“Then… next time, you treat me, and I’ll pay.” Clarice said shyly.

“Deal.” After leaving the restaurant, Roy had expected Clarice to want to return to the school immediately.

Instead, she suddenly asked, “It’s still pretty early.

Do you want to go watch a movie together?” A movie?

Roy looked at Clarice in slight surprise.

Morgan had invited Clarice to watch a movie, and she had rejected him.

Yet now, Clarice was the one taking the initiative to invite Roy.

Although he had no idea what movies were currently playing, Roy agreed without even thinking about it.

The town they were in didn’t have a particularly large population, but it covered a decent area and had all the commercial facilities one would expect.

When they arrived at the movie theater, Roy left the choice of film to Clarice while he casually looked around.

In the very next second, he spotted two figures who were neither particularly familiar nor unfamiliar.

Iceman Bobby.

And Rogue.
