Defeating Doc Ock in One Hit!
8: Chapter 8: Four Arms Demonstrates His Power!
Defeating Doc Ock in One Hit!
*My physical durability is far beyond an ordinary person’s.
I can take this!* Leaping across, Gwen grabbed Owen’s shoulders and positioned herself with her back to Doc Ock.
She was confident she could survive taking the blow to her back.
Well, even if it ended up leaving her critically injured.
The moment her hands settled on Owen’s shoulders, her tactile sense registered a shock—Owen’s body was expanding exponentially.
Before she could even register what was happening, a massive hand pressed her head firmly into a rock-hard chest.
Powerless to resist, Gwen hung off his chest like a helpless kitten.
*BANG!* The familiar heavy thud exploded right next to her ear.
Her vision went completely black, and she flinched in shock.
*That sound…
it sounds like the mechanical arm was blocked by plant vines.* Trapped in a muscular sandwich of massive arms and pectoral muscles that left her barely able to breathe, Gwen struggled to pull her head free.
When she finally looked up, the blood ran cold in her veins!
Before her wasn’t the green plant-man, but a giant red powerhouse!
And four eyes?!
Where on earth did he come from??!
Startled, Gwen pushed back with all her strength and thrust her head backward, desperately trying to break free from Four Arms’s embrace.
Four Arms’s hand shifted from the back of her head to her upper back.
Holding her in place effortlessly, he made all her struggling completely futile.
Four Arms looked down, raised an eyebrow, and grinned.
“Don’t be scared.
I’m a good guy.” The familiar voice left Gwen stunned.
“Owen?!” How had he turned into this?
As she took him in, Gwen realized that the heavy thud hadn’t been a vine intercepting the mechanical arm.
It was the mechanical arm crashing directly into Four Arms’s upper left arm.
An attack capable of cleaving a man in half had been casually blocked by Four Arms simply raising his shoulder.
Realizing this, Gwen’s lips parted, her gaze grew dazed, and her brain completely short-circuited.
Staring at Four Arms, Gwen babbled blankly, “Is this big red body of yours…
a little too ridiculously strong?” The smile vanished from Four Arms’s face.
“The name is Four Arms!” With that, Four Arms tossed Gwen aside in disgust.
Landing in a dramatic, graceful sprawl like a delicate anime heroine, Gwen looked up at Four Arms’s towering form, too bewildered to find her words.
He really had four arms?!
On the other side, Doc Ock was equally dumbfounded.
He hastily retracted his mechanical tentacles and evaluated Four Arms, not daring to make another reckless move.
Mutants normally only possessed a single power.
How had the guy in front of him displayed a second one?
*Doesn’t matter where you came from.* Four Arms slammed two of his fists together, producing a sharp clap.
Remembering he had another pair of hands, he clapped the other two as well.
He cracked his knuckles across all four fists, filling the air with a crisp, terrifying barrage of popping joints.
Seeing the battle-hungry grin on Four Arms’s face, Doc Ock felt a sudden wave of panic.
“This is gonna hurt!” With those words, Four Arms shattered the marble floor beneath his feet and bounded high into the air!
Midair, both of Four Arms’s left arms pulled back simultaneously, winding up a punch.
His massive, nearly twelve-foot frame cast a suffocating shadow over Doc Ock.
It looked like a god-king descending from the heavens in a mythological oil painting—an overwhelming wave of force that practically leapt off the canvas, making one’s heart tremble.
Doc Ock was visibly panicked, taking an instinctive step back.
Then, a chill trickled from the chip at the back of his neck, reigniting his instinct for survival.
Snapping back to his senses, Doc Ock snarled and thrust his arms forward.
“Kill him!” Receiving the command, all four mechanical tentacles tensed and shot out like artillery shells, converging onto a single point to skewer Four Arms through his chest.
The tentacles had originally been designed to assist Doc Ock with his experiments.
In addition to pinpoint precision, they possessed incredible power!
Doc Ock was supremely confident in them!
Just two arms had beaten Spider-Man so badly her own mother wouldn’t recognize her.
With all four striking at once, wouldn’t Four Arms be knocked into next week, corpse and all?!
In the blink of an eye, Four Arms met the mechanical arms head-on.
Without a moment’s hesitation, he threw both left fists straight forward!
The twin fists made contact with an explosive roar.
Doc Ock, along with his four limp mechanical tentacles, flew backward uncontrollably, smashing into the wall with a deafening *CRASH* and leaving a giant crater before coming to a stop.
Before he could even register what had hit him, Doc Ock was wedged into the shattered wall, stone-cold unconscious.
His four tentacles drooped lifelessly to the floor, as if completely drained of power.
Silence instantly descended upon the hall.
Gwen was utterly stunned.
She stood up blankly, her mind a total void.
That single punch!
Or rather, those two punches—had just one-shot Doc Ock?!
As a science student, Gwen could easily figure out the physics behind it.
The kinetic force had traveled down the mechanical tentacles straight into Doc Ock’s body, blasting him backward, severely injuring him, and knocking him out instantly.
What blew Gwen away was…
It took just one hit?
Four Arms had used a single strike to one-shot Doc Ock, whose strength had been enough to pin her to the ground and beat her silly?!
No, wait!
Just how insanely strong was Four Arms?!
Meanwhile, Four Arms landed firmly on his feet.
Staring at his massive back, Gwen swallowed quietly, an uncontrollable shudder running down her spine.
She realized that Four Arms had four arms; those two fists definitely weren’t his full power.
If he exerted his full strength with all four arms…
*Hiss…
is he another Hulk or something?!* Her brows furrowed into a tight knot.
Things were getting crazier and crazier.
Taking a deep breath to compose herself, Gwen said seriously, “Since he’s knocked out, I’ll call the police to come arrest him.” Before she could turn around, Owen stopped her.
“No.” “He’s not unconscious yet.” Under Owen’s playful smile, Doc Ock slowly opened his resentment-filled eyes.
Clutching his chest, Doc Ock dragged himself out of the wall with difficulty.
Four Arms cocked his chin.
“There are only two of us left here now.” “Come on.
Let’s have a real one-on-one fight, man to man.” Doc Ock gritted his teeth and glared, lowering his chin.
Things had reached this point; he had no choice left.
He had intended to play dead to catch his opponent off guard, but his ruse had been seen right through.
Now, he had to fight for his life!
The limp tentacles slowly flared back to life, and the atmosphere instantly re-thickened with murderous tension.
Looking back and forth between Four Arms and Doc Ock, Gwen rubbed her chin in thought, feeling like something was off again.
“He said there are only two of us left here…” “Then…” Pointing her hand at herself, Gwen looked shocked.
“Am I not a person?!” Hearing that, Four Arms turned his head, waving her off like he was shooing a child, his voice tinged with exasperation.
“Just go stand over there.” “You fighting here and me fighting here are two entirely different things.” Turning toward Doc Ock and dropping into a combat stance, Gwen huffed irritably at Four Arms, “I’ll have you know, Mr.
Otto…” “A supervillain fighting for his life is extremely dangerous!” “You’d be much better off with a partner.” Four Arms curled his lip in disgust, thinking to himself: *What the hell could an inexperienced Spider-Man like you even help me with?* *Now is the time for me to practice my combat skills with Four Arms.* *If you’re not careful, you might just end up as collateral damage~*
