Standing at the doorway, Qin Qing slowly withdrew her long leg, walking into the room as if no one else was there, glancing at the male and female leads lying naked on the bed.

She raised her phone.

She snapped over a dozen photos in succession before Fu Yuanchen and Liu Qingyan even reacted.

“Qin Qing, what are you doing?!”

Fu Yuanchen, bare-assed, scrambled to pick up the fallen blanket and shield himself and Liu Qingyan from view.

Qin Qing looked the pair up and down, noticing that their Fortune Luck was exceptionally strong.

She revealed a smile that didn’t reach her eyes, her red lips parting slowly:

“I’m here to get the marriage contract.”

Fu Yuanchen didn’t take the marriage contract seriously at all. Thinking Qin Qing was here to stake her claim like she always did, he pointed at her nose and cursed:

“I’m sick of hearing that! Can you stop bringing me bad luck? The sight of your pathetic, groveling face makes me want to puke!”

Liu Qingyan leaned into Fu Yuanchen’s embrace, glaring at Qin Qing with disgust: “Cheng Ge and I truly love each other. He has never liked you. Why do you keep clinging to him! Do you have no self-respect at all? You could search all of Jing City high and low and never find a shameless simp like you!”

Qin Qing’s brows knitted tightly.

Could these two not understand human language?

Suppressing her temper, she held out her hand to Fu Yuanchen: “The marriage contract!”

Fu Yuanchen roared in fury: “Are you fucking done or not?!”

He flat-out refused to believe that Qin Qing genuinely wanted the marriage contract back to go her separate ways.

Qin Qing’s gaze turned icy cold as she let out a soft sigh: “You can’t understand plain words, so you need me to use force before you’re satisfied?”

“What did you say?”

Fu Yuanchen hadn’t heard clearly and asked impatiently.

“I said you’re dead meat!”

Between Qin Qing’s fingertips was a golden needle, as fine as a strand of hair, glinting with cold light.

Her slender wrist turned slightly, and the needle shot from her hand.

“Ah—!”

A blood-curdling scream suddenly rang out.

Fu Yuanchen clutched his palm, pierced through by the golden needle, his body trembling as he collapsed onto the bed.

At the same time, Qin Qing’s body swayed slightly, a strange expression flickering across her face.

“Cheng Ge, your hand is bleeding!”

Liu Qingyan threw herself forward, clutching Fu Yuanchen’s arm, crying like a weeping pear in the rain—delicate, fragile, and utterly pitiable.

Fu Yuanchen raised his bloodshot eyes, staring at Qin Qing with dark menace.

“What did you do to me?”

Qin Qing pinched another golden needle between her fingertips and stepped forward with light, graceful strides.

“I’m a person with limited patience.”

She held out her hand again: “Last time I’ll say it—hand over the marriage contract.”

Fu Yuanchen exploded like an enraged fire-breathing dragon, his face a mask of utter disbelief.

“Over a lousy piece of paper, you actually attacked me?!”

Qin Qing rolled the golden needle between her fingers: “Can’t be helped. You refuse to understand human speech.”

Liu Qingyan jerked her head up, her eyes full of accusation: “You can’t hurt him just because you can’t have him! Qin Qing, you’re so selfish. You don’t understand what love is at all. You’re pathetic!”

Love?

As if anyone wanted it!

Qin Qing looked utterly unimpressed, ignoring the clearly unhinged female lead.

Her cold, indifferent gaze bore down on Fu Yuanchen with overwhelming pressure, making it clear she would strike again if he didn’t produce the contract.

Fu Yuanchen belatedly realized that Qin Qing was serious this time.

The woman who used to fawn over him, groveling with such pathetic flattery it made him sick—today she seemed like a completely different person.

Was this a new tactic to cling to him?

Ha! No matter what she did, she was still disgusting!

Fu Yuanchen sneered with utter contempt, pointing at the jacket draped over the sofa.

“The contract is in the breast pocket. Go get it yourself!”

Before the scumbag even finished speaking, Qin Qing had already turned and walked over to retrieve the marriage contract.

“Qin Qing, did you take the wrong pills today?”

Behind her came Fu Yuanchen’s puzzled, probing voice.

Qin Qing acted as if she hadn’t heard, her fingers finding the marriage contract that had bound her fate.

She walked back to Fu Yuanchen’s side, and just as he instinctively recoiled, she seized his wrist in a firm grip.

“What are you doing?!”

Fu Yuanchen shouted in alarm, like a startled bird.

Qin Qing’s fingertip, imbued with golden Mystic Power, slashed across the man’s palm. As blood welled up, she pressed the marriage contract against it.

She then forced a drop of blood from her own fingertip and flicked it onto the blood-soaked contract.

The next instant, the contract burst into brilliant golden light.

In the empty space of the room, gleaming golden characters materialized.

[By the witness of the Heavenly Dao, by the law of the Great Way—one marriage, one lifetime, never parted in life or death, sharing joy and sorrow alike… together in life, together in death, the marriage pact is sealed!—Male: Fu Yuanchen. Female: Qin Qing.]

Qin Qing glanced at the contract’s contents, then flicked a beam of golden light from her fingertip, shattering those glaring words into nothing in an instant.

Kneeling on the bed, Fu Yuanchen felt a strange emptiness well up in his chest—as if he had permanently lost something that should have been his.

Qin Qing cast a glance at the marriage contract burning to ashes, the corner of her lips curling upward ever so briefly before vanishing.

“The contract is destroyed. You and I are even now. No more ties between us.”

Fu Yuanchen suppressed the hollow feeling in his chest, a sneer of mockery twisting his face as he spat venomously: “Qin Qing, without me, you won’t live past twenty! One day, you’ll come begging to me!”

“Dream on!”

Qin Qing’s beautiful eyes were frost-laden, her expression cold and aloof.

The original body indeed could not live past twenty.

In her previous life, Qin Qing had also died on the eve of her twentieth birthday.

Such was the fate of the Extreme Yin Constitution—unless one encountered the Lone Star of Heavenly Malevolence who could sustain her, hoping to die a natural death was nothing but wishful thinking.

Seeing that she was impervious to his words, Fu Yuanchen’s eyes churned with unwillingness, feeling that he simply could not let go.

He continued to issue harsh threats: “Without me, you will die!”

Murderous intent flashed in Qin Qing’s eyes: “Even if I die, I’ll send you to hell first.”

Fu Yuanchen had never been treated like this by her before. His chest heaved with rage: “Back then, it was your family who knelt before me, begging me to sign the marriage contract. If you regret this one day, even kneeling and kowtowing to me won’t help!”

“Do you think you’re worthy?”

Qin Qing looked at the scumbag with indifference, her gaze seeming to say—Who do you think you are, to deserve me kneeling before you?

With that, she turned and walked away, her silhouette resolute.

Seeing that Qin Qing didn’t put him in her eyes at all, Fu Yuanchen blurted out recklessly: “Everyone in the capital knows you’re my fiancée, Fu Yuanchen’s. Without me, no man would dare marry you!”

Qin Qing’s departing footsteps halted in place—but not because of the scumbag’s words.

Her chill-infused eyes fixed upon the man leaning against the door, tall with long legs, his posture relaxed and at ease.

The newcomer was Fu Shuheng.

He wore a hotel bathrobe, the sash tied neatly at his waist, exuding an aura of pure restraint and abstinence.

The man’s eyes seemed naturally to hold a smile, a glint of mischief flickering within them, as if he had been watching for some time.

“Baby, what are you doing here? I’ve been looking for you everywhere.”

Fu Shuheng stepped forward, and with a familiar, intimate motion, pulled Qin Qing into his embrace, which radiated warm, moist steam.

Qin Qing was stunned by his address.

Baby?

Calling me so intimately—are we even that close?
