King Kong!
8: Chapter 8: Skullcrawler vs.
King Kong!
Seeing this, Gale also understood instantly.
This was clearly a Skullcrawler hunting.
On the entire Skull Island, the most terrifying creature was undoubtedly the Skullcrawler.
Firstly, the Skullcrawlers were powerful; basically, only Kong on the entire Skull Island could face them head-on, while any other creature was just food.
Secondly, there wasn’t just one Skullcrawler; they were a pack with multiple members.
Finally, Skullcrawlers were extremely cruel and bloodthirsty; they usually slept deep underground, but once they woke up, they would emerge to hunt every creature on Skull Island.
To put it bluntly, for the creatures of Skull Island, the Skullcrawler was the most terrifying being, threatening every single living thing there.
“Boom!” A Skullcrawler, a full thirty meters long, charged out of the dense forest and swallowed an elephant in one bite.
Next, the Skullcrawler charged toward a massive Brachiosaurus.
The Brachiosaurus was huge, nearly twenty meters long, but it stood no chance against the Skullcrawler; its neck was snapped in one bite, and it collapsed to the ground.
After this Skullcrawler appeared, two more chased out from the forest behind.
The two following Skullcrawlers were smaller, but still over twenty meters long; compared to the other escaping creatures, any Skullcrawler was a terrifying behemoth.
Once the three Skullcrawlers emerged, they began a massive slaughter.
None of the other fleeing creatures were a match for these three Skullcrawlers.
Even the Tyrannosaurus Rex and Tyrannosaurus, which usually sat at the top of the food chain, seemed as small as ants before the Skullcrawlers.
Run!
Witnessing this scene, Gale didn’t hesitate for a second and turned to crawl into the karst cave.
Right now, he was no match for a Tyrannosaurus Rex or a Tyrannosaurus, let alone the Skullcrawlers at the very top of Skull Island’s food chain.
Gale’s nine-meter-long purple snake body quickly slithered into the hole in the stone wall.
He only breathed a sigh of relief once his entire body was inside the hole.
The entrance to the karst cave was only as wide as a bucket; with the Skullcrawlers’ size, they definitely couldn’t get in.
The depth of the mountain wall from the entrance to the cave interior was about a hundred meters, and the mountain was made of solid rock.
Under these circumstances, Gale believed that even creatures as powerful as Skullcrawlers couldn’t possibly get in easily.
Unless all the Skullcrawlers came to attack him together, but that certainly wouldn’t happen.
After all, he hadn’t provoked them, and there were so many other prey items outside to hunt.
After confirming his safety, Gale crawled to the cave opening facing the lake to observe.
Most of the fleeing herd had now reached the vicinity of the lake.
Some beasts, with nowhere left to run, jumped straight into the lake, perhaps hoping the water would protect them, gambling that the Skullcrawlers couldn’t swim or wouldn’t enter the water.
But these creatures forgot that deep within this lake, there was also a terrifying giant beast.
As expected.
After the herd entered the water.
The terrifying giant beast in the depths of the lake appeared.
“Boom!” Accompanied by a deafening roar and massive waves, a terrifying crocodile head, no smaller than a Skullcrawler’s, emerged with its mouth wide open, snapping up over a dozen beasts and dragging them underwater.
The surface of the lake was instantly dyed red with blood.
Seeing this, the beasts in the lake were scared out of their wits again and scrambled back to the shore.
But on the shore, three Skullcrawlers were also engaged in a massive slaughter.
Despair!
This was what Gale felt for the fleeing beasts at this moment.
Even as a bystander.
Gale felt despair for these fleeing beasts.
There was a Giant Crocodile in the lake.
And Skullcrawlers on the shore.
There truly was no way out on land and no escape in the water.
Gale was incredibly grateful that he always looked for a safe nest whenever he stayed and hunted in a new place.
Otherwise, if he hadn’t found a safe spot, his situation probably wouldn’t be any better than these fleeing beasts.
In less than half an hour.
The entire lake and the surrounding slopes were dyed red with blood.
Countless lives became food for the Skullcrawlers and the lake’s giant beast in this massacre.
However, halfway through the slaughter…
“Roar!” Suddenly, a world-shaking roar resounded.
Boom!
Gale felt a sudden shock above his head, as if the entire mountain where the cave was located had shaken.
Next, Gale saw a giant gorilla, a full thirty meters tall, jump down from above and charge toward the Skullcrawlers by the lake below.
“Kong!” Gale immediately recognized him; who else could it be but King Kong?
On Skull Island today, King Kong was the only one who could face the Skullcrawlers head-on.
Furthermore, the Kong Clan to which King Kong belonged and the Skullcrawlers were mortal enemies.
King Kong was now the last of the Kong Clan on Skull Island; the others, including his parents, had died in the great war against the Skullcrawlers.
“Hiss!” The three Skullcrawlers below the slope heard the roar and immediately noticed the arrival of King Kong, instantly abandoning their other prey to charge at him.
The Kong Clan and Skullcrawlers were blood rivals; countless Kongs had died at the hands of Skullcrawlers, so King Kong loathed them intensely.
But conversely, the Skullcrawler clan also harbored immense hatred for the Kong Clan.
“Boom—” The battle erupted instantly.
King Kong fought fiercely with the three Skullcrawlers.
In terms of size, King Kong was slightly larger than the three Skullcrawlers.
The largest Skullcrawler, over thirty meters long, barely matched King Kong’s size, while the other two, over twenty meters long, were significantly smaller in comparison.
During the battle, King Kong grappled with the largest Skullcrawler while the two smaller ones took the opportunity to bite him from behind.
Soon, bright red blood began to flow from King Kong’s body.
At this moment, King Kong suddenly erupted with power, grabbing the large Skullcrawler he was grappling with and hurling it away.
Then, King Kong suddenly grabbed one of the smaller Skullcrawlers behind him, yanked it off his back, and slammed it onto the ground.
The slammed smaller Skullcrawler immediately retaliated, snapping its jaws at King Kong’s arm.
King Kong seized the opportunity, grabbing the smaller Skullcrawler’s upper and lower jaws with both hands and prying them apart with force.
“Crack!” Accompanied by the crisp sound of bones snapping.
The smaller Skullcrawler’s jaws were ripped apart, and it died instantly.
Then the large Skullcrawler pounced again.
Seeing this, King Kong suddenly uprooted a massive tree that would take several people to encircle and swung it like a club at the lunging large Skullcrawler.
Boom!
The lunging large Skullcrawler was sent flying dozens of meters by King Kong’s strike.
Taking advantage of the opening, King Kong grabbed the other small Skullcrawler and twisted its head and body.
“Pfft!” The small Skullcrawler’s head and body were snapped by King Kong, its body torn into two segments.
Finally, only the large Skullcrawler remained.
At this point, the large Skullcrawler seemed to sense something was wrong and tried to flee.
But King Kong clearly had no intention of letting it go; he chased it down, grabbed its tail, and began to wildly swing and smash it.
Finally, after a short but intense battle.
This large Skullcrawler was also killed by King Kong.
“So fierce.” In the distant cave, Gale couldn’t help but be shaken by the sight.
King Kong truly lived up to being the most special and powerful member of the Kong Clan; his combat strength was indeed beyond words.
At the same time, Gale’s heart burned with excitement.
This kind of power was his goal.
“Roar!” By the lake.
After killing the three Skullcrawlers, King Kong pounded his chest with his fists and let out a roar to the sky, as if venting his emotions and proclaiming his kingship.
Then he inspected the carcasses of the three Skullcrawlers to make sure they were completely dead.
After confirming they were dead, King Kong slowly turned and headed toward the distant forest, eventually disappearing into the depths of the wooded mountains.
Once King Kong left.
Gale’s eyes burned with desire as he looked at the three Skullcrawler carcasses.
If he could devour and digest these three Skullcrawlers, to what extent would his evolution progress reach?
It might even be possible for his evolution progress to reach 100% and trigger evolution directly.
