twenty-four…

twenty-five…” Shigaraki counted under his breath as he closed in on Aizawa.

The teacher reacted first.

His elbow struck Shigaraki in the stomach.

Then the battlefield froze.

Shigaraki’s fingers closed around Aizawa’s elbow.

“You keep moving, so it is a little hard to read,” Shigaraki said.

“But there is a moment when your hair falls.

That means your Erasure drops for an instant, and in that moment, you can’t erase Quirks.” His grip tightened.

“Don’t overdo it, Eraser Head.” The sleeve around Aizawa’s elbow began to crumble.

Then his skin split apart, peeling away under Shigaraki’s Decay until raw red flesh showed beneath.

Shigaraki drew back his other fist.

A flash cut through the air.

A flying slash streaked forward like an arc of light, carrying a sharp white tremor along its edge.

One Sword Style: Thirty-Six Pound Phoenix.

Only this time, it was infused with the power of the Gura Gura no Mi.

What?

Shigaraki’s dead eyes widened.

Swordsmanship fused with a Quirk?

The attack was already in front of him, rushing down like a white dragon tearing through the sky.

He had no time to dodge.

The flying slash smashed into him and sent him flying.

He hit the ground hard and rolled across the floor.

Shigaraki raised his head, his glare twisted with anger.

“Who are you?” Yuto did not answer him.

He crossed the distance in a burst of speed and landed beside Aizawa.

“Sorry, Aizawa-sensei.

I disobeyed your order.” Aizawa looked at him and, for an instant, saw a shadow of All Might.

He snorted.

“Do that again and I’ll expel you.” With Yuto beside him, Aizawa’s situation eased slightly.

His right elbow had been damaged badly enough that he could no longer fight at full strength, but the boy filled the gap.

The villains surged in.

Ice blasts, fire blasts, electric arcs, and stranger Quirk effects tore toward them from every direction.

Boom.

Boom.

Boom.

Explosions kicked up clouds of dust.

Yuto’s eyes sharpened.

“Tremor: Earthsplitter.” Against a crowd, he chose the ground.

His fists struck empty air.

The atmosphere cracked like glass.

A low tremor spread through the USJ.

The first quake shook the villains’ footing.

The second split the concrete under their feet.

The third sent cracks racing beneath them.

“What’s happening?

An earthquake?” “No, it’s that kid’s Quirk!” “A Quirk that causes earthquakes?

Are you kidding me?” Yuto did not let them recover.

The shaking intensified.

The floor buckled.

Sections of concrete collapsed.

Villains dropped into sudden pits or fell as the ground rolled beneath them.

Yuto controlled the range carefully.

The quakes struck beneath the villains, not beneath the students.

In a single moment, the situation reversed.

All because Yuto had entered the battle.

A rare smile tugged at Aizawa’s mouth.

“He’s even stronger than he was during the entrance exam.” Iida watched in shock.

“I saw him use this during the entrance exam.

He can trigger earthquakes with his Quirk.” Ochaco’s eyes shone.

“Yuu-kun’s earthquakes are even stronger now.” Tsuyu blinked.

“Yuto-chan has so many secrets.

It makes me curious.” Kirishima clenched his fists.

“That’s so manly.

Just watching makes me want to jump in.” They were not only shocked.

Somewhere inside, they were beginning to admire Yuto the way they admired All Might.

Bakugo burst forward like a tiger.

“Damn it!

He keeps stealing all the spotlight!” Todoroki released a wave of cold air and froze a large group of villains ahead of him.

Kirishima followed.

Tokoyami moved next.

The others refused to fall behind.

Class 1-A shifted from defense to offense.

With the students joining the fight, the League’s forces began to collapse.

Explosions, ice, Dark Shadow, hardened fists, and flashes of Quirk light struck the villains from every side.

Aizawa watched it happen, his expression unreadable.

So this was why All Might valued Yuto so highly.

It was not only strength.

It was the boy’s character.

More importantly, Bakugo, Todoroki, Tokoyami, Kirishima, and the rest had begun following Yuto’s lead without even noticing.

That was influence.

It moved people before they realized they had been moved.

“Damn it.

Damn it.

Damn it!” Shigaraki scratched at his neck until red marks appeared.

“How did it turn out like this?

We have fewer and fewer people.

We’re getting pushed back by a bunch of brats.

How humiliating.” His eyes locked onto Yuto with venom.

“It’s you.

I’ll kill you.

If All Might is not here, then I’ll take your life instead.” For a moment, his thoughts raced.

Then his voice went cold.

“Kurogiri.

Your turn.
