The smile on Liam Shaw’s face froze instantly.
He turned his head and looked at Ethan Hayes.
Ethan Hayes turned his head away, looking out the window nonchalantly and said, “Don’t look at me; I hate these squishy, cold-blooded animals.”
“But I…”
I don’t dare to touch it either…
Liam Shaw muttered to himself, hesitated for a moment, and then said through gritted teeth, “How about we just pour it out?”
“Pour it where?
On top of Vivian York’s head?” Ethan Hayes sneered and said, “Perhaps you don’t plan on going home tonight.”
“Then…
then, Ethan, you take out her backpack, and I’ll pour the little snake directly into it,” Liam Shaw thought for a moment, then said to Ethan Hayes, “This way, neither of us has to touch it, and she won’t know the snake was my idea.”
“Hmm…” Ethan Hayes pondered for a while, nodded, and said, “Getting her backpack out is difficult, but I can lure her out of the study room, and you can take the chance to pour it into her backpack.”
“Alright, it’s a cheerful decision then!” Liam Shaw nodded, and the two of them agreed easily.
Ethan Hayes slouched back to the study in his slippers, lazily saying to Vivian York, who was sitting behind the desk waiting for them, “I’m a bit hungry, want to cook some instant noodles.
Can you teach me how to make them?”
“Me?” Vivian York was taken aback, stood up, walked to Ethan Hayes’s side, and asked with a puzzled expression, “You don’t know how to cook instant noodles?”
“Well…
My mom used to cook it for me,” Ethan Hayes nodded, leading Vivian York toward the kitchen, explaining as they walked, “I’ve never cooked them myself.”
“Alright, I’ll teach you,” Vivian York sighed, full of helplessness, “But after eating, you must start doing your work immediately, got it?”
“Got it, got it, nagging,” Ethan Hayes pouted and signaled with his eyes to Liam Shaw, who was at the study door, before entering the kitchen.
In the kitchen, the exhaust fan roared.
Vivian York casually gathered her long hair into a ponytail with a rubber band, and then picked up a pot, filled it with cold water, and placed it on the stove to boil.
She then turned to Ethan Hayes and asked, “Where are the instant noodles?”
“In the fridge,” Ethan Hayes pointed to the fridge beside him and said to Vivian York.
Vivian York opened the fridge, took out a pack of instant noodles, grabbed some vegetables, a sausage, and an egg, and closed the fridge door.
“Why are you taking out other things?” Ethan Hayes frowned and looked at her with confusion.
“To cook with the instant noodles,” Vivian York looked at him with a matter-of-fact expression, “Or did you plan to eat just plain noodles?”
“I used to eat them like that…” Ethan Hayes hesitated for a moment and replied casually.
Vivian York couldn’t help but laugh and shake her head, then turned to dice the vegetables and sausage, placing them on the cutting board, ready to be added to the pot.
Ten minutes later, a steaming bowl of instant noodles with abundant toppings was brought out from the kitchen by Vivian York.
“Here, eat quickly,” Vivian York handed a fork to Ethan Hayes and said, “If you wait too long, the noodles will get soggy.”
