’Why are they sneering?’ He glanced back hurriedly to check on the boy but it was already too late.

...
The man had barely seen Ye Yaming’s before his vision turned hazy. Ye Yaming stood there with his right hand clawing through the man’s chest.
He placed the body of the bald man down on the ground before wiping the blood off his hands on the man’s cloth.
Everyone stared at him silently as Ye Yaming picked the loaves off the ground.
"The boy killed Bo? Haha!! Hahaha!!" One of them laughed hysterically, unable to believe that the bald idiot Bo was taken down by a child.
"He has earned the bread now, we can’t fight him." The group of men nodded. Rules were rules, anyone wanting to trade could be attack, killed.
Also, none of them were willing to attack because the guard had warned them that the boy would be leaving soon, hinting that the boy had some serious backing.
"As if you would dare." Jin mocked the fellow. There was no fighting again after one death, not until the boy got another meal to trade for.
There were only two rules inside the jail; one can fight for food and second only one fight per person. The leader at the top took his share to reinforce the rules and those who broke the rules were taken care of by him.
Even if they thought they could beat the boy after he tired himself out, there was no way to openly do it.
"Why don’t you go fight him then?" Ren rebutted. He obviously would not involve himself but Jin had the backing of his so-called boss, the second strongest. The boss of his was weaker than the current ruler of the jail.
"Wait until the boss comes out of seclusion then I will fight him." Jin argued. Once his boss comes out of the seclusion, the rules would be changed and he will have his fun then.
"Nobody fears your boss anymore. It’s been two years. Even though he knows a cultivation technique, he would eventually starve to death." Ren replied. People were really anticipating a new player in the jail hierarchy but that man had been in seclusion for too long.
It appeared that they did not expect the man to break through anymore.
The man was not only a Peak Second-rate warrior but also cultivation started later. He held off the progress of his beast soul.
"I will remember this, REN." Jin joked.
"Do as you wish." Ren shrugged his shoulders before leaving.
...
"Boy, that’s the room of the person you just dealt with." Ren went ahead and pointed at the room of the bald man. Since the boy was new here, he needed a place for himself and what better than the place of the person he had just dealt with?
"Also, remember the name of the first man you killed, he was Bo." Walking him to the room of the dead man Bo, Ren explained to him the unwritten rules of the jail.
Ye Yaming nodded along without saying a word.
"Not a word? What did they put you in here for?" Ren seemed to get tired of the only one speaking and asked. Why was the boy so young yet silent? Did he go through a traumatic experience outside?
"I killed someone." Ye Yaming finally spoke, his words cold and face straight without a hint of guilt.
"Ohh! So, that’s it. A clan member killing someone. No wonder they warned you’d be out within a year." Ren chuckled out loud.
’He looks ruthless. The poor servants must have beaten one to death and the clan could not suppress the news.’ He assumed that the boy must have been a bully and killed a servant of his clan. There was no other way he could think of why a boy that age would be involved in such a case.
But he did not have pity for the assumed servant either. The world was not fair. Strength was supreme. And weakness a sin.
’He looks sick, though.’ The fact that Ye Yaming had just dealt with Bo had put a huge strain on his body, adding his already fragile body to the picture, he looked sick, gloomy and sick.

For the very first time, Ye Yaming had dealt with two people without digesting the gains from it. Surprisingly enough, the Mutated bloodline did not overwhelm him, his body managed to bear it but anymore would not have been possible.
Trouble aside, his talent experienced the biggest boost ever. He was not a normal prodigy anymore, thirty times the speed of learning was not even prodigious, more than that.
A single level of Qi refining needed 2 years of accumulation, he could reach that in less than a month’s time.
He had stayed the whole week inside the room occupied by Bo without going out.
...
"He did not come out for a week?" The guard who had brought Ye Yaming to the jail last week looked surprised as he asked again.
He had been approached by a few elders to listen to the boy and ease his life inside the jail and he was very much willing to do it after hearing about the boy’s situation.
But he did not expect the boy to remain in seclusion for so long. It was obvious that the boy was an orphan who did not get along with the rest of the clan members but to remain inside the room without any complaints?
’A little too independent for a kid.’ He sighed.
"Yeah. Your little clansman is very serious about his training." Ren nodded. He had already deduced that the boy had a good backing back home. So, he tried to paint a good image of the boy in front of the regular guard, hiding Bo’s death.
