[Ding!]
[You have killed the Spawn Tyrant Blood Fiend Thrall! ]
Ella’s voice whispered in Luke’s ears.
[You have levelled up! ]
[Codex unlocked, you have received..]
A bunch of notifications from the game’s system chimed in Luke’s ears. His figure was sprawled on the floor, he laid on the blood vines flat, bleeding, his expression hidden behind the mask. Luke knew he was on the verge of dying, however he couldn’t move, any physical exertion would only make his pain worse than it already was.
His mind was also in shambles, at least most of it, he hadn’t gotten over grabbing live wires.
Despite the harrowing pain, luke still felt satisfied, he had killed the vile fiend after all. He dismissed his unscathed armour, various prickles that had torn through the armour cluttered on his skin. While some still remained.
’Who knew I could have gotten to level ten so fast?’
Luke thought to himself, recalling all the grinding that helped him to reach level thirteen back when mythos was just a video game.
’Why not take a look at the rewards then?’
Luke then muttered through gritted teeth, drops of blood flowing from his nostrils that were hidden behind the undefeated one’s mask.
"C–codex."
A screen appeared before Luke once more, but this time the screen wasn’t colourless like it had been when Luke had checked it outside the village, now it was a shade of grey.
Luke had summoned the codex and now a set of symbols appeared..
Name: Luke
Race: Human
Rank: Hunter
Hunter Core: Dormant stage [Initialization in poptions]
’Would you look at at that, I’m gonna be rich!’
Luke stared at the letters with glee, he had become an hunter!
Which meant that the game’s system as recognized him as someone capable of fighting void creatures.
Which presented a lot of opportunities, strength, wealth and so much more, the reason for his previous stagnation at level thirteen was because he was never recognized as a player with the potential of an hunter.
Luke knew the range of the opportunities would be limited, due to the fact that having an s+ class generally had some "don’ts" like joining a guild and so on.
He scrolled up, checking the next set of details on the screen.
Accessories-...
Attributes-...
Class- The Undefeated One.
Class Description-The user of this class is granted the ultimate identity of an absolute, unmatched apex predator, which was a complete systemic illusion. In the beginning their baseline physical attributes were just like everyone else.
Luke rolled his eyes, as he noticed the system had corrected the description of the undefeated one to a sentence relating to the past, well in a sense he had indeed passed his first mission.
Class Rank-[Unknown]
’Unknown?’ Luke thought to himself, confused as to why he did not have a class rank, that would determine how far he could go.
The classes in mythos were ranked like this.. {Dormant, Awakened/Fury, Seeker, Transcendant.}, while for void creatures they were also ranked.. {Spawn, Ravager, Devourer, Harbinger} So why the hell was the undefeated one’s class showing Unknown.
Luke sighed inwards, he had secretly been hoping to see something like "seeker" but apparently the game didn’t even bother with that, it had it’s other unknown plans.
Am I going to remain Dormant then? Luke didn’t have an answer to that question so he looked further.
[Ornaments-1/4]-
Level 10
Luke felt delighted at what he had seen so far, even the ornament too, whatever the fuck it was, and why the Uncanny seer had told him to pull it out of a vine monster.
That was the end of symbols on the screen. He dismissed the grey screen.
The Game’s system then spoke.
[Extra Rewards, class spot unlocked!]
Luke eyes narrowed, then he was startled and confused at the same time, class spot unlocked?
’What the hell was that supposed to mean?’
He already had a class, so why was the codex notifying him with a class unlocked notification?
’Unless?’
Luke thought as a possibility dawned on him, he willed the codex and other appeared.
Just as luke had thought, the symbols remained the same except for the fact that, there were two classes instead of one!
Name: Luke
Race: Human
Rank: Hunter
Hunter Core: Dormant stage [Initialization in process.]
Accessories-...
Attributes-...
Class- The Undefeated One. [ New Class Options???]
Luke stared at the grey screen in perplexity, a new class, he then focused on the symbols showscasing..
[New Class Options.]
[Options-]
[S Grade]
Swordsman: The ability to grasp a moderate amount of understanding of a witnessed sword technique and increase its perfection the more it is witnessed.
Knight: In the midst of a battle when outnumbered by at least a hundred enemies and in the advent of death, the player receives a 10x increase to all their base stats, 10x effect to their weapons, 10x boost to their will and 50% weakening of each of the enemies.
Berserker: Class Ability: A common rabid fighter.
Luke stared at the S Grade in shock.
’The first two are overpowered!’
The ability to grasp something at such speed, to become stronger even in the advent of death, these classes had lower grades too, so most of the people he had seen with it’s name weren’t that strong.
"So I actually get to choose one of these?"
[S+ Grade]
Assassin: They can go completely invisible and untouchable in dimly lit places or areas covered by darkness, and can influence the outside world in that form.
Monk: Regenerates Mana 4X faster at their class rank and possesses the ability to transfer personal mana to another player though at a slow pace.
Mage: A being capable of sorcery and weilding all elemental affinities.
Necromancer: Class ability: Player can revive the corpses of Void creatures killed and subject them to his control.
Luke stared at the description of the assassin and was dumbfounded, the user really couldn’t be attacked in the darkness, although the class would be weakened in broad day light, But Luke knew if used correctly, the class would be dangerous. He scrolled further.
[Unique Classes]
[S+]
Healer: Can heal, cure and support others and themselves speedily.
His eyes glinted on reading the Healer class, this was his way out, with this he could walk out of the dungeon wholly, however there was another class below it, Luke read it’s description and immediately reconsidered his options.
