NARUTO: IDE:Chapter 10: Nakagawa Ichiryu “Sacrificed.” Shin’s voice was flat.

Both Miyuki and Abero froze.

The smile disappeared from Miyuki’s face.Full novel: NARUTO: INFINITE DOJUTSU EVOLUTION — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She reached over and gently patted Shin on the shoulder.

“Don’t worry.

From now on, follow Big Sister Miyuki.

I’ll protect you.” “Shin, I’m sorry.

I shouldn’t have asked.” Abero scratched the back of his head, looking embarrassed.

“It’s fine.

It’s already in the past.” The calmer Shin acted, the more awkward the two became.

Neither knew what else to say, so they fell silent and waited for their squad leader.

About half an hour later, Jonin began arriving in the classroom one after another.

But they weren’t all true Jonin.

More than half were Special Jonin.

A Special Jonin was someone whose overall aptitude and Combat Power had not reached the Jonin stage, but whose burst strength could temporarily reach that level.

Shin’s Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique worked on the same principle.

Its explosive power was already approaching the Chunin stage despite his actual Combat Power remaining much lower.

Naturally, every student hoped to receive a true Jonin as their sensei.

A Jonin wasn’t merely stronger.

Their knowledge, experience, and battlefield judgment were also far beyond that of a Special Jonin.

Unfortunately, there were far too many graduates this year, and most of them had little potential.

The Village couldn’t pour valuable resources into every student.

And this was wartime.

Jonin were the Village’s strongest combat forces.

Training future reserves mattered, but it couldn’t come before the demands of the front lines.

“Team 3, follow me.” A Special Jonin standing at the podium called out.

Three students immediately stood and followed him out.

One team after another left the classroom.

Soon, the room became empty.

Yet Team 7’s squad leader still hadn’t appeared.

Ito Miyuki slammed her palm against the desk.

“What is going on?

He’s a teacher, yet he’s actually late!” “Miyuki, who are you talking about?” A voice suddenly came from the classroom.

The three of them jumped.

A middle-aged man was standing on the podium.

No one had seen him enter.

A scar ran across his face, giving him a stern appearance.

Shin’s pupils tightened.

He hadn’t sensed this man at all.

The man had clearly been standing there for some time.

His strength was definitely at the Jonin level.

(Nakagawa Ichiryū.

Combat Power: 140.

Proficient in Fire Release, Wind Release, and Water Release Ninjutsu.

Extremely strict.

If he takes a particular interest in you, be careful.) “Uncle Ryū.” Ito Miyuki immediately straightened up.

The arrogance from earlier vanished as she stuck out her tongue.

From the way she addressed him, the two clearly knew each other.

Nakagawa Ichiryū’s eyes swept across Shin and Abero.

A faint crease appeared between his brows.

Something had felt strange just now.

It was as though someone had been watching him from nearby.

Shin’s heart jolted.

He stared at the man without moving, then immediately called out in his mind.

System, what’s going on?

Can he sense your existence?

“Ding-dong.

Host, no.

Even the Hokage of this world cannot detect the existence of this System.” The system paused for a moment before continuing.

“It is only because the Host’s mental power is too weak.

The opponent possesses exceptionally strong perception, especially when it comes to mental power.

That is why he sensed something.” Shin let out a quiet breath.

So that was it.

At the same time, he made a mental note: from now on, he wouldn’t casually use the system to inspect Ninja far stronger than himself.

One careless move could expose him.

Since Nakagawa Ichiryū’s perception had found nothing, the Jonin didn’t dwell on the strange feeling.

He shifted his attention back to the three students.

“Follow me.” He turned and walked out of the classroom.

Shin, Miyuki, and Abero quickly followed.

The moment they left the Academy grounds, Nakagawa Ichiryū suddenly accelerated.

His figure flashed several times.

Then he vanished into the distance.

“Hurry up!

Follow him!” Ito Miyuki clearly understood what was happening.

She shouted the reminder and immediately dashed after him.

Shin and Abero exchanged a glance before pushing off with their feet and following closely behind.

All three were only Genin, so keeping up with Nakagawa’s actual speed was impossible.

But this was clearly a test.

Nakagawa wasn’t trying to lose them.

He was simply moving at a pace that forced them to run at their limits.

Running speed was closely tied to one’s physique.

The stronger the body, the faster the movement and the sharper the agility.

Shin had nine points in Constitution.

His speed was already beyond that of an ordinary Genin and was even slightly faster than Miyuki.

But he didn’t want to attract unnecessary attention.

He deliberately kept himself half a step behind Miyuki, matching her pace without overtaking her.

Half an hour later, the three finally reached Training Ground 7.

Under normal circumstances, the journey from the Academy would take at least an hour.

By pushing themselves to the limit, they had cut that time in half.

Shin was barely breathing harder.

Miyuki and Abero were another story.

Both were exhausted.

Abero suffered the most.

Although his Earth Release training had given him a solid physique, his Combat Power was lower than the other two, making it difficult for him to maintain their pace.

His legs were already trembling.

Yet neither Shin nor Miyuki offered him any help.

If they couldn’t endure such a basic test, then there was no point in forcing them to become teammates.

On the battlefield, nobody would slow down and wait.

Better to weed them out now.

“Uchiha shin, I underestimated you.” Miyuki was slightly out of breath.

When she saw that Shin’s face showed no trace of exhaustion, she knew she had lost to him in terms of stamina.

But she wasn’t discouraged.

A Ninja’s combat power wasn’t determined by stamina alone.

There were many other factors in a battle, and Miyuki didn’t believe she was weaker than Shin.

Shin paid her no attention and looked toward the figure standing ahead.

“This is Training Ground 7.

The fact that you managed to keep up means you passed the test.” Nakagawa Ichiryū’s gaze lingered on Shin for a moment before he continued.

As expected, this had been a test.

Shin suspected it was only the first one.

There were probably more waiting for them.

“Uncle Ichiryū, that test was way too easy.

There wasn’t any challenge at all.” Ito Miyuki puffed out her chest proudly.

Nakagawa Ichiryū glanced at her.

“On the battlefield, physical fitness is important no matter what kind of Ninja you are.” His voice was cold.

“If you can’t defeat your enemy, you should at least be able to run.

If you can’t even outrun them, then there’s only one result.” He paused.

“Death.” A murderous aura suddenly spread from his body.

Miyuki’s face went pale.

Her shoulders stiffened, and even her breathing became shallow.

She was only a girl of around ten years old.

Faced with the killing intent of a battle-hardened Jonin, how could she remain unaffected?

The thought of death made Miyuki glance toward Shin.

She couldn’t help wondering how this guy had remained so calm.

What had he experienced before?

That feeling must have been terrible.

Shin noticed the sympathetic looks from Miyuki and Abero but said nothing.

“Alright.

Rest for a while.” Nakagawa Ichiryū finished speaking.

Shin immediately found a nearby step and sat down, closing his eyes as he settled his breathing.

Miyuki and Abero followed his example.

The two sat down nearby, slowing their breathing and trying to recover their stamina as quickly as possible.

Whatever came next, they needed to be ready.
