After Orochimaru left, Itsuki sat on the sofa for a while.
Before long, another system notification arrived from Orochimaru.
“A team?” Itsuki raised an eyebrow.
This seemed to be the first time players had formed a team on their own.
He immediately changed the settings so that team formation would be automatically approved without requiring his permission.
Otherwise, once the number of players increased, he would probably be buried under endless notifications.
After finishing that, Itsuki began going through several other system functions and adjusting them as well.
First, anyone entering the building would now automatically receive basic information about missions and the Quest Giver System.
That way, he wouldn’t have to explain the same things over and over again.
Next, missions triggered by the system and the claiming of rewards would be automatically approved.
Itsuki would only need to check the activity log afterward.
Finally, anyone who completed at least one mission would automatically receive information about Scenarios.
As for players who had already completed missions before this change, they would receive the information the next time they finished one.
While going through the system log, Itsuki noticed something unexpected.
Might Guy’s team had already accepted a mission.
So had Asuma Sarutobi’s team.
“That means almost all of the Konoha teams are involved now.
Only Kurenai’s team is missing…” Itsuki paused.
“Oh?
Speak of the devil.” A new entry had just appeared.
Team Kurenai Mission: Escort the Merchant Caravan — C-rank Itsuki immediately got up and headed downstairs.
Sure enough, Kurenai and her three students were still in the main hall, discussing their newly triggered mission.
Itsuki approached with a smile.
“Congratulations.
You triggered a mission.” Kurenai and the others turned toward him.
Unfortunately, the reaction was nothing like the pleasant conversation Itsuki had imagined.
Akamaru, curled up in Kiba Inuzuka’s arms, suddenly began trembling.
The little dog whimpered continuously, and Kiba’s expression changed as well.
He stared at Itsuki with unmistakable alarm.
Shino Aburame reacted even more dramatically.
The insects inside his body began crawling out uncontrollably, swarming across his clothes and skin.
Shino immediately lowered his head, seemingly unwilling to even look directly at Itsuki.
Hinata, on the other hand, didn’t possess their animal or insect instincts.
She simply hid shyly behind Kurenai and peeked at Itsuki with her pale eyes, curiosity written all over her face.
Kurenai’s expression tightened.
She knew the abilities of her students better than anyone.
Kiba and Shino would only react like this when confronted with something exceptionally dangerous.
Itsuki didn’t know whether to laugh or sigh.
Still, inwardly, he was extremely satisfied with the effects of his Enhanced Enel Template.
He smiled and gently patted Hinata on the head.
“There’s no need to be nervous.
I mean you no harm.” Hinata’s face instantly turned bright red.
She lowered her head and became too embarrassed to speak.
“Itsuki-san.” Kurenai watched him cautiously.
Itsuki wasn’t surprised that she recognized him.
He already knew Konoha had circulated his portrait among its shinobi.
And as more Konoha ninja completed missions and received extraordinary rewards, Itsuki’s reputation had only become more mysterious.
Still, seeing Kurenai look at him with such a mixture of nervousness and respect left him slightly disappointed.
He understood why, though.
So instead of doing anything that might make her even more guarded, he simply began chatting with her.
Itsuki had never denied that some of the beautiful women he remembered from Naruto interested him.
There was little point pretending otherwise.
With his strength, abilities, and unusual position in the shinobi world, he saw no reason to act timid about it.
So he naturally kept the conversation going with Kurenai, occasionally asking Hinata a question as well.
As for Asuma?
Itsuki conveniently forgot he existed.
When Team Kurenai finally prepared to leave, Itsuki smiled.
“When you complete the mission, don’t claim the reward immediately.” Kurenai stopped.
“If you don’t like what you receive, come back here.” “I can exchange it for something else.” There were still plenty of Konoha shinobi inside and outside the hall.
Every one of them understood exactly how valuable those words were.
Their gazes immediately filled with envy.
“Rewards can actually be exchanged?” “Maybe they can, but it doesn’t look like you qualify.” “Lucky Kurenai…
If only I could join her team.” The whispers were quiet, but Itsuki and Team Kurenai could hear them perfectly well.
Itsuki immediately adopted an innocent expression, as though he had absolutely nothing to do with the situation.
Kurenai’s cheeks reddened slightly.
She gave him a sidelong glance.
“Thank you.” Then she hurriedly gathered her students and left, looking noticeably flustered.
“Interesting.” Itsuki watched her retreating figure with an amused smile.
Then his gaze shifted toward Hinata, who had turned around to secretly glance back at him.
Itsuki smiled at her.
What truly caught his attention, however, was something else entirely.
“So Hinata has missions and Scenarios connected to the Tenseigan…” His eyes narrowed thoughtfully.
“The shinobi world is going to become very lively.” Team Kurenai actually had quite a few potential missions associated with them.
They simply hadn’t triggered most of them yet, so Itsuki didn’t pay them much attention for the moment.
He turned around and headed upstairs.
Just as he was about to enter the Virtual Combat Space, the system sounded again.
Ding!
Hatake Kakashi entered the Scenario [Obito’s Death] and received a B-rank evaluation.
Congratulations, you have received one B-rank Coin.
Itsuki stopped.
“Kakashi’s been entering Scenarios pretty often lately.” “How many times has it been now?” He checked the activity log.
His eyebrows rose.
Kakashi had already entered a Scenario four times.
Three of those attempts had earned B-rank evaluations.
And every single reward from those three attempts had been converted into a B-rank Coin.
Itsuki rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
“Don’t tell me Kakashi is saving up to enter Rin’s Death…” The more he thought about it, the more likely it seemed.
