“He really couldn’t wait, huh?” Itsuki chuckled when the specially configured notification appeared.

He had expected Kakashi to wait a few more days.

Apparently, Kakashi had run out of patience.

Itsuki approved the request immediately.

Meanwhile, in the Land of Waves.

After escorting Tazuna safely home, Kakashi assigned Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura their training and then entered a room alone.

He opened the Scenario Panel.

His gaze settled on Rin’s Death.

Complicated emotions churned inside him, but he forced them down.

I want to enter the Scenario, Rin’s Death.

Spend one B-rank Coin to enter [Rin’s Death]?

This Scenario will use Immersion Mode.

“Yes.” Kakashi took a deep breath.

His vision blurred.

When it cleared, he was already inside the Scenario Space.

His appearance had changed as well.

He was young again.

At that moment, his younger self was sprinting alongside a pack of summoned ninken.

Everything around him was frozen in place.

Only Kakashi himself could move.

Having already experienced a Scenario once before, he wasn’t surprised.

He looked up at the countdown floating overhead.

One minute remained.

“Yo, Kakashi.” A cheerful voice came from nearby.

Kakashi turned and saw Itsuki waving at him with a broad smile.

“Itsuki-san?” Kakashi frowned.

“Why are you here?” “Nothing special.” Itsuki grinned.

“I’m just curious to see how this Scenario plays out.” He looked every bit like someone who had shown up purely to enjoy the spectacle.

Kakashi’s eye twitched.

I’m risking my life in here, and you’re just here to watch?

He suppressed the urge to complain.

“Itsuki-san, could you at least give me a hint?” Kakashi forced out a smile.

“In your dreams.” Itsuki rolled his eyes.

Kakashi sighed helplessly and turned his attention to the Scenario mission.

Scenario: Rin’s Death — S-rank During the Third Shinobi World War, you were carrying out a mission alongside Nohara Rin.

Rin was captured by Kirigakure shinobi, who used a secret technique to turn her into the Three-Tails’ jinchūriki.

You are currently on your way to rescue her.

Please note: Your final Scenario evaluation will depend on how long Rin survives, how long you survive, and how much of the Scenario’s hidden content you uncover.

Kakashi stared at the panel.

Rin’s face immediately appeared in his mind.

“Rin…” He desperately wanted to see her again.

The countdown reached zero.

The Scenario began.

Kakashi followed the ninken he had summoned and soon located the place where Rin was being held.

A cave.

Kirigakure shinobi guarded both the entrance and the surrounding area.

Kakashi didn’t rush in blindly.

Just as he remembered doing in the past, he ordered his ninken to lure the guards away.

He slipped into the cave with little difficulty.

And there she was.

Rin.

Kakashi’s chest tightened.

He quickly dispelled the genjutsu placed on her and wasted no time talking.

He immediately led her out of the cave.

They escaped without much trouble.

But Kakashi knew this was only the beginning.

Both his memories and the Scenario description had already made the situation clear.

Rin had been turned into the Three-Tails’ jinchūriki.

And Kakashi strongly suspected Kirigakure had deliberately allowed them to escape.

“Kakashi…” Rin frowned as they ran.

“Something feels wrong with me.” “Don’t worry about that yet.” Kakashi cut her off.

“Escaping comes first.” The two raced beneath the moonlight.

As they ran, Rin’s memories gradually became clearer.

Then she remembered.

She had been turned into the Three-Tails’ jinchūriki.

“I can feel it.” Her face went pale.

“There’s…

something inside me.” Kakashi remained silent.

He didn’t dare tell her the truth.

Because he already knew what choice Rin would make once she fully understood the situation.

“There they are!” “We found them!” Kirigakure pursuers appeared.

Enemies closed in from both front and rear.

“Break through!” Kakashi’s expression turned cold.

He drew the short sword from his back.

“Thunder Breathing, First Form: Thunderclap and Flash!” Lightning erupted.

Kakashi vanished.

A head flew through the air.

“Move!” Before Rin could recover from her shock, Kakashi grabbed her and continued running.

Rin stared at him in surprise.

Kakashi’s gotten stronger again.

A faint sense of happiness rose within her.

But then she remembered her own situation.

The image of the Three-Tails suddenly flashed through her mind.

Rin’s expression changed.

She finally understood.

“Kirigakure performed some kind of ritual on me earlier.” Her voice trembled.

“I remember now!” “They turned me into the Three-Tails’ jinchūriki!” Fear filled her eyes as she looked at Kakashi.

Then that fear slowly hardened into determination.

“I can’t go back to Konoha.” “Kirigakure wants to use me to attack the village.” “Kakashi…

kill me!” Kakashi’s heart sank when he saw the resolve in her eyes.

“Rin, don’t panic.” He immediately tried to calm her.

“Even if they sealed a tailed beast inside you, we still have options.” “We can find Minato-sensei and Kushina-sama.” “Don’t forget, Kushina-sama is from the Uzumaki Clan.

Sealing techniques are their specialty.” “And she’s a jinchūriki herself.” “If anyone can deal with this, it’s her.” Rin hesitated.

“There…

really might be a way?” “Trust me.” Kakashi answered immediately.

Seeing Rin finally abandon the idea of dying on the spot, Kakashi felt an enormous sense of relief.

Then regret hit him just as hard.

Damn it.

Why didn’t I think of that back then?

The pursuing shinobi caught up before he could dwell on it.

Kakashi stopped.

“Rin, keep going.” “I’ll deal with them.” “Kakashi!” Rin looked back anxiously.

There were too many enemies.

“Trust me!” Kakashi shouted.

Then he turned around.

His eyes became ice-cold.

“Six of you?” “One attack is enough.” “You arrogant brat!” “Kill him!” “Bring back the jinchūriki!” The Kirigakure shinobi charged with kunai drawn.

“Die!” Kakashi lowered his stance.

“Thunder Breathing—Thunderclap and Flash: Sixfold!” He exploded forward.

Violent Lightning Release chakra wrapped around the blade in his hand.

Crack!

Lightning streaked across the battlefield.

Kakashi moved so fast that the naked eye could barely follow him.

Six flashes seemed to occur almost simultaneously.

Then— Blood erupted.

Six bodies collapsed to the ground one after another.

Kakashi stared at the corpses.

Strong.

And the chakra consumption isn’t even that high.

Thunder Breathing alone might not have produced this level of power.

But Kakashi had already mastered Lightning Release shape transformation and nature transformation to an extremely advanced degree.

Combining those skills with Thunder Breathing produced terrifying speed and cutting power.

His overall combat strength had risen another level.

There was no time to admire the result.

Kakashi turned and caught up with Rin.

They continued fleeing.

But there were simply too many Kirigakure shinobi.

Every time Kakashi eliminated one group, another appeared.

As more ANBU discovered their position, the encirclement only grew tighter.

“Damn it.” Kakashi cut down another Kirigakure shinobi and glanced toward Rin.

Her face was growing increasingly pale.

Kakashi was breathing heavily now as well.

Who was that mysterious person?

Why haven’t they appeared yet?

Anxiety gnawed at him.

What Kakashi didn’t know was that, elsewhere, White Zetsu and Madara were facing a decision of their own.

After receiving information from one of his clones, White Zetsu looked toward Madara.

“Madara, Kakashi’s strength is much higher than expected.” “He might actually break through the Kirigakure encirclement.” “Do we still send Obito?” “Send him according to plan.” Madara answered without hesitation.

He glanced toward Obito, who was asleep nearby.

His expression remained completely indifferent.

“My objective is to make Obito awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan.” “Nothing else matters.” “Fine.” White Zetsu shrugged.

“Your call.” Then he turned and went to wake Obito.
