Two hours later.
After the efforts of more than a thousand people, the 2,500-kilogram Blackrock Giant Bear was finally transported to the vicinity of the Evil God Altar.
A gigantic altar, its cyan flames blazing, stood in the middle of the ruins, radiating an ancient and evil aura.
A large number of guards patrolled back and forth around the altar.
Even from more than a thousand meters away, Yang Ming could feel the terrifying pressure emanating from the Evil God Altar.
After all, even the weakest patrolling guard here was a Rare-Grade monster.
“Lord, are we really going to approach that thing?” someone in the group could not help asking.
Yang Ming waved his hand and signaled:
“Don’t be afraid. Keep moving forward.”
After receiving Yang Ming’s order, the group continued dragging the Blackrock Giant Bear forward, drawing closer and closer to the Evil God Altar.
When Yang Ming arrived three hundred meters from the Evil God Altar, a terrifying scene suddenly unfolded.
The guards stationed near the altar turned their heads in unison, countless gazes locking onto Yang Ming’s group.
Even with the enhancement from the Tang Hengdao, Yang Ming’s combat power had reached 150 points, but he still found it somewhat difficult to withstand the pressure at that moment.
Yang Ming had no choice but to stop where he was and shout:
“Followers of the Evil God, I mean no harm. I am not your enemy. I have brought a sacrificial offering to offer to the Evil God.”
After saying this, Yang Ming felt the guards’ hostility weaken considerably.
An old man dressed in a pure-black formal robe walked toward Yang Ming. His upper body had the face of a Goat demon, while his lower body was human.
The Goat demon slowly spoke, his voice unusually hoarse:
“Human, are you also a follower of Lord Aminos?”
Yang Ming instinctively scanned the Goat demon.
【Name】: evil goat priest.
【Class】: evil spirit Mage.
【Quality tier】: perfect grade.
【Combat power】: Unknown（Level too low. Unable to view）
【Talent】: Unknown（Level too low. Unable to view）
【Skill】: Unknown（Level too low. Unable to view）
What the hell? I actually saw a perfect-Grade NPC monster… Yang Ming was truly shocked.
“Human, answer my question, or die!” the evil goat priest said again.
Yang Ming came back to his senses, pointed at the Blackrock Giant Bear behind him, and then said to the evil goat priest:
“That’s right. This is my tribute to the Evil God Lord—a Blackrock Giant Bear.”
The evil goat priest glanced at the still-sleeping Blackrock Giant Bear, and his stern expression softened slightly.
“An Excellent-Grade tribute? Its quality tier is low, but it happens to meet the requirements for a sacrifice.”
The evil goat priest turned to Yang Ming and slowly said:
“Human, you have come with sincerity. The Evil God Lord will bless you.”
As he spoke, the evil goat priest slowly raised the magic staff in his hand.
The magic staff fired a beam of dark-green light, enveloping the Blackrock Giant Bear’s body.
Immediately afterward, the 2,500-kilogram Blackrock Giant Bear floated into the air and slowly flew toward the Evil God Altar.
In the end, the Blackrock Giant Bear was Devoured by the blazing cyan flame and turned to dust.
At the same time, Yang Ming received a notification from the system:
【Respected Lord Yang Ming, your sacrificial offering has satisfied Evil God Aminos. Favorability has increased by 5 points.】
【Your territory has established diplomatic relations with the Evil God Altar. Current relationship level: cooperative.】
【You may continue offering more high-quality tier blood food to increase your favorability with Evil God Aminos. When favorability reaches 60 points, you will receive military support from Aminos.】
After the sacrifice was completed, the evil goat priest’s expression softened considerably.
The evil goat priest slowly spoke:
“Lord Yang Ming, the Blackrock Giant Bear you offered was very much to the Evil God Lord’s taste. If you are willing to offer more sacrificial offerings, I can give you some items.”
Yang Ming was just about to speak when the system’s notification sounded in his ear again:
【Respected Lord Yang Ming, congratulations. You have triggered a C-Rank Quest: The evil goat priest’s Trade.】
【Quest description: Within thirty days, offer no fewer than fifteen excellent-grade exotic beasts to Evil God Aminos.】
【Quest reward: One excellent-grade forging blueprint.】
Yang Ming’s eyes lit up, and without even thinking, he accepted the quest without hesitation.
“I accept the quest,” Yang Ming said to the evil goat priest.
Exchanging fifteen excellent-grade exotic beasts for an excellent-grade forging blueprint was undoubtedly an extremely profitable deal.
As long as he had enough materials, he could forge countless excellent-grade weapons.
Seeing Yang Ming agree without hesitation, the evil goat priest revealed a kindly smile even uglier than a grimace:
“Lord Yang Ming, thank you for your cooperative efforts. To express my gratitude, you may freely choose one guard to protect your territory. Of course, the guard may only be used for defense, not offense.”
Upon hearing this unexpected pleasant surprise, Yang Ming was tremendously excited.
One had to know that every guard here was rare grade!
Having a Rare-Grade guard protect his territory would directly raise its defensive strength by an entire level.
After carefully selecting, Yang Ming chose a tall and imposing human race male guard wielding a long halberd.
【Name】: Yang Feifan（evil god altar guard）
【Quality tier】: rare grade.
【Potential】: five-star.
【Combat power】: 1026.
【Description】: He was once the human race’s most steadfast demon-slaying warrior, following the hero Aminos into battle against the demons of Hell. In the end, for reasons unknown, he fell into an Evil God’s Guardian. The demon-slaying youth ultimately became a demon.
【Talent】: hero’s Heart（B-Rank. As long as his faith does not die, his body will not die. He possesses powerful self-healing abilities and can theoretically recover health without limit.）
【Skill One】: Blazing Flame Scorches the Heavens（B-Rank. Transcendent Awakening. He can control flames and unleash large-scale flame spells.）
【Skill Two】: Fury of the Flame dragon（B-Rank. Summons a giant flame dragon to fight alongside him.）
“Awesome!” After seeing his attributes, even Yang Ming could only give him a thumbs-up.
As expected of a Rare-Grade warrior, these attributes were simply invincible.
At that moment, the evil goat priest suddenly spoke:
“Lord Yang Ming, this guard has already been assigned to your faction, but do not forget the deal between us. If you cannot complete the sacrifice mission within one month, the Evil God Lord’s wrath will sweep across your territory.”
“Don’t worry. I will complete the mission,” Yang Ming said neither arrogantly nor humbly.
At Yang Ming’s current rate of development, hunting fifteen excellent-grade exotic beasts within a month would be more than easy.
Afterward, Yang Ming left the Evil God Altar.
Yang Feifan followed silently behind Yang Ming and left with him.
After a brief rest, Yang Ming led the army back to his territory.
Needless to say, today’s gains were enormous.
The Red Fire Spear Forging Blueprint, the level-three resource field Jade Spirit Lake, and the guard Yang Feifan.
Every one of these was a priceless treasure and resource.
