Fu Shi had just finished a small meeting at the company.

Once almost everyone had left, Qin Deng stood up and said, “Boss Fu, Designer Wen will be arriving today.”
“Would you like to meet with her?”
Fu Shi glanced down at his watch. “Yes, arrange it.”
“I have a golf game later.”
Qin Deng nodded. “Understood, Boss Fu.”
“Miss Wen should be arriving soon. I’ll go greet her.”
They had agreed on the meeting time during their phone call last night.
9:30 AM.
She was probably almost here by now, right?
Fu Shi grunted in acknowledgment. “Go ahead.”
As the man finished speaking and prepared to flip open the notebook on the table, his fingertips had just touched the tablet’s touchpad when a knock came from the glass door of the conference room. The receptionist’s voice followed: “Boss Fu, Miss Wen is here.”
Hearing it was Miss Wen,
Qin Deng immediately brightened up and went to open the door. “Coming!”
With that, he eagerly hurried over to swing the door open.

Qin Deng’s mind went blank for a moment. After a short pause, he finally reacted, his eyes widening in surprise, “Miss Nan, you’re the partner of that well-known design firm in the capital?”
Nan Yin didn’t deny it, “Yes, although I am a partner in that company, Assistant Qin, let me be clear—when I participated in your design selection, I didn’t use any backdoor connections.”
