“Then don’t blame her.” Ruan Yu took a deep breath. Alright, he was being generous.

“By the way, we were classmates. Do you remember?”

Fu Shi didn’t even glance at Nan Yin, his voice light and indifferent, as if he had no interest in reminiscing with them: “Sorry, I don’t really remember.”Full novel: Nightly Seduction, The Rugged Man’s Wild and Lustful Little Tease — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Ruan Yu: …

Nan Yin: …

What a perfect “don’t remember.”

Sure enough, a man like him would never remember a girl like her.

Nan Yin’s lips curled slightly. Good. The more he acted this way, the more determined she was to reel him in. That’s what made it exciting.

“Mr. Fu, about what happened today, I’m sorry.” Nan Yin tugged at Ruan Yu’s hand. Ruan Yu understood and fell silent.

Nan Yin slowly walked toward his desk. She wasn’t short to begin with, and with high heels on, she appeared slender and tall. Placing her hands on the man’s lacquered desk, she leaned forward slightly to look at him, exuding a cat-like allure. “I wonder if Mr. Fu would be willing to do me the honor? Let me treat you to a meal?”

Fu Shi narrowed his eyes to look at her. She was smiling at him, her face small as a palm, as charming as a seductive flower that could stir the heart, making one’s chest itch. Even her body carried a faint, sweet scent.

Utterly captivating.

Fu Shi’s throat tightened slightly as he said calmly, “No need.”

“The car window wasn’t damaged, and you’ve come all this way to apologize. Consider the matter settled.”

He paused, suppressing the dark glint in his eyes, and added, “As for cutting you off earlier, it was because a family member was hospitalized.”

“I should apologize for that too.”

Huh?

So someone from the Fu family was in the hospital. Nan Yin felt a bit embarrassed, while Ruan Yu behind her blushed with shame. Well, well, it was her own hot-headed temper as the young lady that had caused the trouble.

“If there’s nothing else, you may leave.” Fu Shi closed the folder in his hand and stood up. He was truly tall—190 cm—and having served in the military, he lacked the delicate, frail look of a pretty boy.

Instead, he exuded a rugged, wild, and explosive hormonal energy.

Especially since he genuinely disliked wearing formal suits to work, usually opting for a comfortable black T-shirt and matching casual pants.

The T-shirt wasn’t particularly loose, so it clung tightly to his well-defined chest muscles, making them appear almost excessively prominent.

A sight that made one’s mouth water.

Nan Yin glanced at his developed chest muscles, her tongue unconsciously feeling a bit dry.

Fu Shi’s physique looked truly delectable.

Those chest muscles and his narrow waist seemed like they’d be good to touch too.

Being with him would definitely be exhilarating.

She couldn’t wait to reel him in and have a taste.

A man she’d craved for nearly seven or eight years was right in front of her now. She truly couldn’t hold back at all.

“Oh, then maybe another time.” Nan Yin withdrew her gaze from his physique and smiled softly. “Fu Shi, till we meet again.”

The beautiful woman extended her soft, warm hand for a handshake.

Fu Shi looked down at her hand. The man initially had no intention of shaking it, but she was blocking his way. Out of courtesy, Fu Shi reached out and shook it briefly.

It was precisely this handshake that the stunning woman, blinking her bright eyes, stared at him like a wolf. Her delicate fingertips deliberately and lightly scratched the rough, calloused palm of his hand. Leaning in, she nearly pressed against his robust chest muscles, rising on her tiptoes as her red lips exhaled a breath as fragrant as orchids: “It’s just as well you don’t remember me. Are you single, Mr. Fu? How about I pursue you?”

Her voice was also soft and gentle, like the mild breeze of March.

Very pleasant.

But also ambiguous, unmistakably seductive.

“Have some self-respect.” Fu Shi’s handsome face tightened, his eyes seeming to conceal turbulent waves as he quickly withdrew his hand, turned around, and left with the documents first.

Nan Yin leaned against the edge of the desk, watching his tall, straight back recede into the distance. Her fingertips tingled—this man truly was a rare gem. Even his palm felt good to touch.

Rough and coarse.

Covered in calluses.

If he were to touch her, it would surely feel amazing, right?

“Sweetie, he’s gone. Shouldn’t we get going too?” Ruan Yu wiped her forehead in relief and hurried over to tug at Nan Yin’s arm. “But why did he say he doesn’t remember us?”

They were in the same class for three years.

Nan Yin glanced back at her. “It’s normal. We didn’t interact much with him in high school.”

Anyway, it didn’t affect her plan to flirt with him.

She didn’t expect him to commit to a long-term relationship with her.

She just wanted to reel him in, have a fling, and that would be enough.

She wasn’t some pure saint—just an ordinary woman with base desires.

“Alright, I can see your eyes are practically glued to him.”

“He’s a rare gem,” Nan Yin shamelessly praised. “He has this cold, arrogant, beastly aura mixed with a roguish charm. I really like it.”

“I’ve seen too many polished men in the capital—they just don’t appeal to me.” She preferred men like Fu Shi, forged from military family backgrounds, who had served in the army, endured solitude, were intelligent, and exuded a cold, rugged masculinity.

The kind of man who could overwhelm you without saying a word.

Huh??

How did her Yinyin notice his roguish charm?

Was it because he had been in the military?

But then again, his aloof personality combined with the ruggedness from his military service did create a unique blend—a wild, outlaw-like aura reminiscent of a Western cowboy.

“Enough talk. Let’s head to my place first?” Having seen Fu Shi today, Nan Yin felt satisfied, even though the start hadn’t gone smoothly.

But she wasn’t in a hurry. She could take her time.

She would succeed eventually.

Pausing for a moment, Nan Yin glanced at the business card holder on the man’s desk.

Inside was a stack of his cards.

She still didn’t have his phone number.

Lifting the lid of the holder, she pulled out one of the cards and slipped it into her bag. The two of them left the office one after the other. Once outside, Ruan Yu went to press the elevator button while Nan Yin called Wen Ling, inviting her to dinner at her mother’s place that evening.

After finishing the call, she joined Ruan Yu by the elevator.

Ruan Yu’s sharp eyes caught sight of a recruitment poster placed at the end of the hallway by Fu Shi’s company.

It was seeking design partners for their company?

They needed promotional product designs?

Wasn’t that her Yinyin’s specialty? Still feeling guilty about the recent “graffiti” incident, Ruan Yu quickly walked over, snatched the poster, and handed it to Nan Yin. “Yinyin, why not give this a try?”

“I see their company is looking for a suitable promotional design partner?”

“Isn’t this exactly your field?”

Nan Yin looked down at the poster Ruan Yu had shoved into her hands, scanning it quickly. Her eyes instantly lit up. “Today’s unexpected surprises keep coming.”

“Go for it,” Ruan Yu patted Nan Yin’s shoulder.

“I wish you success, sis.”

Nan Yin tucked the poster away, her lips curving into a bright, captivating smile. “Mm.”

She was confident about securing this partnership.

Fu Shi wouldn’t escape her grasp.

Ground floor of the company.

Not long after Nan Yin and Ruan Yu left, Fu Shi emerged from the vice president’s office with documents in hand. Subconsciously, he glanced toward the company entrance and happened to see Nan Yin and Ruan Yu getting into a car.

The man narrowed his dangerous dark eyes, watching them for a moment before turning and heading upstairs.

Back in his office, the sweet scent still lingered in the air. The man tossed the documents aside and walked over to his desk, picking up a pack of cigarettes lying there.

He pulled one out, clamped it between his lips, and flicked open a golden lighter. A faint blue flame leaped up.

A crimson glow ignited.

Leaning against the edge of the desk, he exhaled a heavy cloud of smoke, his gaze drifting toward the scorching asphalt road outside the floor-to-ceiling window. His thoughts unwittingly circled back to the moment Nan Yin had touched his palm earlier, leaving him momentarily dazed.

Still, he knew she was playful by nature—just as she had been in high school, never short of boys swarming around her.

She would never take anything seriously, let alone invest her heart.

The man sank into reflection for a few seconds.

Suppressing the long-held, repressed desire of his secret crush.

He pulled his thoughts back, lowered his intensely aggressive dark eyes, and forcefully crushed the half-smoked cigarette butt with his fingertips. Snatching his phone from the desk, he strode out once more.
