She smoothed the front of her uniform, her voice calm and measured, oozing undivided interest.

“I am listening, Professor…

I’m all ears.” Simon took a deep breath.Full novel: One Man Is Not Enough For Me: Fated To Four Alphas — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He leaned forward, resting his heavy elbows on the polished desk, and interlaced his thick fingers.

His resonant voice began to fill the quiet room.

“There are four primary ranks that rule this place, Roxy.

The first and highest is the Alpha rank.” He gestured slightly with his hand, emphasizing the weight of his words.

“They are the apex of the ruling pyramid here the elite born with the instinct for absolute leadership and domination running through their blood.

They possess a terrifying aura that forces the rest of the students to bow, willingly or by force, the moment they issue an order.” He paused, opening a heavy folder on his desk and flipping through the crisp pages.

“In this academy specifically, four Alpha leaders are currently enrolled, representing the four most powerful and vicious werewolf packs on the face of the earth.

No one here, no matter who they are, dares to look them directly in the eye.

Their authority within these walls sometimes eclipses that of the professors themselves.” Roxy processed his words slowly, filing away every single detail into the corners of her mind with intense concentration.

Her fingers tightened imperceptibly against her knees.

A clear map for survival materialized in her head: the Alphas were kings, and approaching them required extreme caution and calculated steps to avoid destruction.

The professor continued, keeping a close eye on her steady demeanor as he closed the folder with a soft thud.

“Second, there is the Luna.

This is the highest and most sacred rank for females—the queen of the pack and the fated mate of an Alpha.” Simon leaned back into his plush chair, his expression softening slightly with reverence.

“A Luna is not just an honorary title; she is the soul and the emotional counterweight that balances the Alpha’s cruelty and absolute ruthlessness.

She commands a sacred level of respect equal to the leader himself.” He tapped a rhythmic, thoughtful beat against the armrest.

“At this very moment, the Luna positions for the four most powerful packs remain entirely vacant.

Everyone inside the academy is waiting with bated breath to see which of the noble females will claim this high honor.” Roxy’s lips parted into a hidden smile that showed only in her eyes.

She shifted her posture subtly, a wild, unbridled thought dancing in her mind; she imagined her petite human frame ascending one of those four vacant thrones, forcing the werewolves to bow to her.

Simon cut through her wandering imagination, his voice dropping an octave as he shifted to the next tier.

“Third, the Beta rank.

They are the ruling elite and close advisors, representing the class immediately below the Alphas.” He reached for a glass of water on his desk, taking a slow, deliberate sip before setting it down.

“The responsibility of enforcing the strict rules and maintaining order falls upon their shoulders.

They possess immense physical strength, making them the influential leaders of sports teams and heads of student councils.” Roxy nodded slowly, a silent confirmation of her complete understanding.

The professor leaned forward once more, his shadow casting across the polished wood as he moved to the very bottom of the pyramid.

“Fourth and finally, there is the Omega rank.

They are the weakest and lowest caste in our society werewolves without powerful packs to protect them, or outcasts who have been exiled from their territories.

They suffer constant marginalization and hard labor inside the academy, living in perpetual fear of the higher ranks’ brutality.” As the final word left his mouth, Roxy deduced the bitter truth.

She rested her chin in her hand, a cold analytical spark in her eyes; if the Omegas were at the bottom, humans resided beneath the floor entirely.

They were completely left out of the equation because their weakness couldn’t compare to the claws of these creatures so much so that the official handbook didn’t even deign to mention the word “human.” Roxy broke the heavy silence, a look of genuine intrigue masking her face as she leaned in toward the desk.

“This hierarchy is truly fascinating, Professor…

but a pressing question forces itself on me.” Simon shifted in his leather seat, gesturing with his hand in silent encouragement.

“Go ahead, ask whatever is on your mind.” She locked her eyes into his, unblinking.

“Where do I fit in the middle of this chaos?

In which of these categories will my name be placed?” The professor let out a relaxed sigh, resting his hands flat on the arms of his chair.

“You will simply be a human student…

that is the only available designation.” A small, knowing smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth.

“However, your intelligence and cunning can change that rank in the blink of an eye if you play your cards right.” Roxy’s features loosened into a sly smile.

She stood up slightly, planting her hands firmly on the edge of the desk, a confident, provocative look painting her face as she countered, “I think I’ll just create my own rank…

a rank that puts me above them all.” The professor’s eyes flashed with a hint of admiration he couldn’t suppress.

He leaned back in his chair again, crossing his arms and countering with a low, warning tone, “I admire that burning ambition in your eyes, Roxy…

but my duty compels me to warn you.

The humans who preceded you and entered this place the strongest among them didn’t last more than a single week before fleeing in tears or being torn to shreds.” Roxy’s heart clenched for a fraction of a second.

A cold prickle raced through her veins at his grim admission, but she instantly recovered her usual icy composure, straightening her spine and lifting her chin in defiance.

“Don’t worry about me…

I have my own policies and strict schedules for survival, and fleeing isn’t on them.” Simon’s features hardened again, the casual air completely evaporating.

A terrifying aura and stern gravity settled over him as he pressed on.

“Naturally, I have great faith in your mental faculties…

Now, listen closely.” He tapped his index finger sharply against the wood.

“I am going to brief you on the academy regulations that govern this place behind closed doors.

The ranks I explained to you aren’t for boasting; they are the foundation upon which the Three Great Laws were built.” The professor adjusted his posture, his tone turning absolute, demanding undivided attention.

“The First Law: The Law of Challenge and Combat.” He gestured toward the narrow window overlooking the grounds.

“The academy never interferes in physical conflicts or battles that erupt between students, as long as they take place within the boundaries of the ‘Forbidden Dueling Arena.’ Any lower-ranking werewolf can challenge a higher rank to prove their worth and strength.” He locked his gaze onto her, his eyes piercing.

“But for you, as a human…

if you are officially challenged in that arena and do not possess a mate to protect you or an Alpha to shield you with his authority, the law grants the other party full right to crush and destroy you without any intervention from the faculty.

Power here is the sole and ultimate right, Roxy.” A slight shiver ran down Roxy’s spine.

She balled her hands into tight fists behind her back.

The academy wasn’t just a building sitting in the middle of the woods; it was the jungle itself, ruling and discarding destinies with its own brutal laws.

The professor continued without interruption, his voice cutting through her thoughts.

“The Second Law: The Ban on Silver and Human Weapons.” He leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a harsh whisper.

“It is strictly forbidden, under any circumstances, to bring any weapon or tool made of pure silver into the academy grounds.

Violating this law is punishable by immediate expulsion, or execution without trial.

The royal packs fear and loathe this weapon because it is the unique tool humans used to slaughter their ancestors in the past.” Roxy’s thoughts immediately dived into her luggage.

She wished she could have smuggled a small piece of silver to use as a trump card to threaten anyone who dared step out of line, but the professor’s unyielding expression confirmed that doing so would be absolute suicide.

Simon moved on to detail the final law, tracing a finger along a map engraved into the corner of his desk.

“The Third Law: The Ban on Crossing the Forbidden Forest Boundaries.

This academy is entirely isolated from the human world, surrounded by a dense, dark forest inhabited by cursed and predatory spirit beasts.” He looked up, locking her in place.

“Students are categorically prohibited from leaving these borders or attempting to communicate with the outside world for the duration of the semester.

This simply means you are locked in here with them twenty-four hours a day, under one roof…

in lecture halls, narrow corridors, and even the Grand Dining Hall.” Roxy exhaled a quiet breath, looking around the room before meeting his gaze.

She crossed her arms defiantly.

“It seems I truly knew next to nothing about the savage nature of your world, Professor Simon.” Simon nodded with solemn dignity, closing the map folder.

“Humans prefer to remain in the dark regarding us, Roxy, which is exactly why you were ignorant of these details.” Roxy interlaced her fingers with confidence, a calm smirk returning.

“No matter.

I believe I’ve grasped all the foundations and rules you told me.

The picture is perfectly clear in my mind.” Simon leaned forward slightly, piercing her with a gaze as sharp as an arrow, seizing the moment with profound gravity.

“I have wagered everything I own on your leadership intelligence and shrewdness, Roxy.

Remember always that the humans before you fled in surrender during their first week.” Roxy stood up from her chair slowly and deliberately, the same cold, provocative smile she had used against Cayden earlier carving onto her lips.

She raised her hand with clear pride, adjusting the lapel of her new navy-blue blazer as she delivered her parting words.

“Fleeing is a word that doesn’t exist in my personal dictionary, Professor…

I always prefer to face tempests with all my strength, and you will see that for yourself.” The professor’s features softened into a faint smile of satisfaction.

He gestured toward the exit with a calm wave of his hand.

“Tomorrow, the Grand Welcoming Ceremony for the new students will take place…

Go now, rest, and prepare for what is to come.” Roxy nodded her head in a silent, respectful gesture, then turned and strode toward the door with confident strides.

She pushed the massive door open and stepped out into the long, polished hallway.

As she walked, contemplating the corridor while her mind weighed the fresh information, she suddenly felt a hard, blunt impact slam against her shoulder, throwing her off balance for a moment.

She stumbled back a step to find a tall, heavily built blonde young man standing right in front of her.

His features didn’t even bother to register an apology.

Roxy snapped her head up, looking him up and down with intense, fearless superiority.

Her eyes narrowed into a furious glare as she hissed in a sharp, biting tone: “Watch where you’re putting your feet and stepping…

you blind idiot!” The blonde young man went rigid in his tracks, his movements grinding to a complete halt as if the word had struck him like an electric shock.

He turned toward her slowly, his massive body completely blocking out the light streaming through the long hallway windows.

His hazel eyes narrowed to dangerous slits, and his jaw twitched violently before he clenched his teeth with enough force to make the strained muscles in his neck bulge.

His voice dropped, sounding like the lethal hiss of a snake slipping through his hot, ragged breaths.

“What did you just say…

you human insect?” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Z_Hira I hope you enjoyed chapter two.
