Cassian continued forward with his group, moving through the streets of Mary Geoise.
Along the way, they encountered several more Celestial Dragons abusing slaves.
Without exception, every single one of them was dealt with by Cassian.
The luckier ones received only a few sharp slaps.
The unlucky ones were beaten until their faces were swollen, crying out in pain and panic.
One Celestial Dragon, relying on his family’s influence, shouted angrily,
“You dare hit me?
My grandfather won’t let you get away with this!”
Cassian did not even bother replying.
He simply kicked him straight into a nearby filthy ditch.
“Then go call your grandfather.
I’d like to see if he can handle my slap too.”
The Celestial Dragon splashed around in the foul water, screaming in fury, yet not a single person dared to help him.
The God’s Knights were standing right there.
Slowly, Cassian’s name began to spread among the slaves of Mary Geoise.
They did not know where he came from.
They only knew that there was a black-haired young man, followed by powerful knights, who specifically targeted Celestial Dragons that abused slaves.
At the same time, among the Celestial Dragons, Cassian gained a completely different reputation.
He was called the Plague of Mary Geoise and the Bane of Celestial Dragons.
Whenever they saw him, they avoided him as if their lives depended on it.
Still, a few unwilling Celestial Dragons secretly gathered to discuss how to deal with him.
Unfortunately for them, the moment they finished their discussion, Cassian found them.
“Well, if it isn’t Saint Mulu.”
“And you, Rosward, I remember slapping you last time.”
Cassian folded his arms, looking at them with a faint smile.
“What are you all doing gathered like this?”
The moment Saint Mulu and Rosward saw him, their legs nearly gave out.
The other Celestial Dragons behind them lowered their heads, not daring to speak.
Saint Mulu forced out a shaky reply,
“N nothing, just talking.”
Cassian raised an eyebrow and stepped closer.
“Talking about how to get revenge on me?”
He leaned forward slightly, his expression calm but provocative.
“If you’re not satisfied, come on.
Do something about it.”
He tilted his head slightly.
“Go ahead, take a swing.
I’ll even let you continue bullying slaves afterward.
Sounds fair, right?”
The group instinctively backed away.
No one dared to move.
They all knew exactly what kind of person Cassian was.
A man who could casually command the God’s Knights was not someone they could provoke.
“Too scared?”
He cracked his knuckles, the sound sharp and deliberate.
“If I see any of you abusing slaves again, next time won’t end with just a slap.”
“Y yes, we understand!”
The Celestial Dragons scattered immediately, fleeing in panic.
Cassian watched them run and let out a short laugh.
“Now that’s better.”
Hancock glanced at him from the side.
“Aren’t you worried they’ll report this to their families?”
Cassian shrugged.
“Let them.”
“Imu isn’t going to bother with something this minor.”
“And even if she does, she won’t punish me over a few useless Celestial Dragons.”
Hancock fell silent.
She felt his confidence in Imu might be misplaced.
Inside the distant palace, Imu had already witnessed everything.
She watched Cassian chase down Celestial Dragons like a street thug, completely disregarding their status.
When he told them to come at him, her expression shifted slightly.
“This brat is getting more reckless.”
She leaned back on her throne, fingers lightly tapping against the armrest.
There was no anger in her gaze.
Only faint amusement.
“But it does make things more interesting.”
She had never cared about slaves.
As for those Celestial Dragons, most of them were worthless.
If Cassian wanted to vent his energy on them, she had no intention of stopping him.
As long as he did not cross a certain line, she was willing to tolerate it.
As the sun began to set, Cassian led Hancock and Koala back.
The God’s Knights followed behind them, visibly exhausted.
Today’s outing had been quite eventful.
Several Celestial Dragons had been beaten, and more than a dozen slaves had been saved.
Cassian stretched his arms.
“Not bad.
Productive day.”
He glanced ahead casually.
“We’ll continue tomorrow.
I want to see if every Celestial Dragon here still dares to act arrogant after I’m done.”
The God’s Knights remained silent.
At this point, they were starting to feel less like elite guards and more like his personal enforcers.
Hancock looked at Cassian’s face, illuminated by the fading sunlight.
Her expression softened slightly.
At the very least, he brought something different into this suffocating place.
Koala tugged at his hand gently.
“Brother Cassian, I want to go with you again tomorrow.”
Cassian rubbed her head.
“Sure.
Get stronger first, then you can help.”
Koala nodded enthusiastically.
The group gradually disappeared into the distance.
Behind them, the rescued slaves remained where they were, silently watching, their expressions filled with quiet gratitude.
Even so, Cassian understood one thing.
Patrolling the streets could only help a limited number of slaves.
Through repeated testing, he had already figured out Imu’s limits.
Beating Celestial Dragons was allowed.
Killing them was not.
Once, when he tried to go too far, Garling immediately stopped him.
As long as no one died, the God’s Knights would not interfere.
Now that he understood the boundary, his approach began to change.
Simply reacting was no longer enough.
He decided to take initiative.
Early the next morning, sunlight filtered over the golden streets of Mary Geoise.
Yet inside certain mansions, darkness still lingered.
Bang, bang, bang.
Loud knocking shattered the quiet.
“Open up.
Inspection.”
Inside the mansion, a bloated Celestial Dragon was overseeing slaves as they polished a golden toilet.
The sudden noise made him flinch.
“Who is it?”
For some reason, the voice outside sounded very familiar.
“Stop wasting time.
Open the door, or I’ll break it down.”
The tone carried absolute confidence.
The Celestial Dragon’s face turned pale.
“Quick.
Hide them.
All of them, now.”
He waved frantically at the guards.
“Send them to the cellar.”
The guards scrambled into action, rushing the slaves toward the cellar in panic.
One of them moved too slowly.
The Celestial Dragon kicked him violently, his face twisted with fear and anger.
