“Madara Uchiha, huh?” Ren Mori’s eyes flickered slightly as he muttered the name.

Although he had already been in this world for more than ten years and had forgotten many things from his previous life, the moment the System announced Madara Uchiha’s name, that arrogant figure immediately resurfaced in his mind.

In Ren Mori’s original world, he and Hashirama Senju had both been known as Legendary Ninja.

As for his strength, there was naturally no need to question it.

I really didn’t expect my very first member to be someone this formidable.

Ren Mori was secretly delighted.

With Madara Uchiha around, the rest of his voyage would undoubtedly become much smoother.

Just as Ren Mori was thinking about this— Suddenly, his body began emitting white light.

Before long, the white light separated from him and descended onto the deck nearby.

Then, the glowing mass gradually took on a human shape.

As the figure opened his eyes, the white light covering his body began peeling away bit by bit.

Eventually, a man with long, spiky hair appeared before Ren Mori.

He wore a black, form-fitting battle outfit beneath layered red armor.

In one hand, he held a sickle.

A chain extended from the handle of the sickle, and at the other end of that chain was another weapon— a war fan.

Madara Uchiha stared directly at Ren Mori.

His lips moved.

“Edo Tensei?” The moment the words left his mouth, Madara immediately rejected the idea himself.

“No…

this isn’t Edo Tensei…” As he spoke, Madara swept his gaze across his surroundings.

Only then did he remember what that mysterious sphere of light had told him while he was surrounded by darkness.

“I remember now…” “This is an entirely new world.” “It really is remarkable.

To think someone could summon a person from one world into another.” Ren Mori was not worried that Madara might suddenly do something harmful to him.

The System had already told him that anyone summoned through it—regardless of whether they were male, female, human, demon, monster, or anything else— would possess 100% loyalty toward the Host.

Ren Mori had originally intended to explain things to Madara.

But after hearing what Madara said, he abandoned that idea.

“Welcome, Madara…

Uchiha.” Ren Mori looked directly at him and spoke calmly.

Hearing his voice, Madara turned his gaze toward Ren Mori.

Their eyes met for a moment.

Then Madara looked toward the endless sea before raising his head to stare at the blue sky.

At that moment, an expression resembling relief appeared on his face.

“Perhaps…

starting over isn’t so bad.” The Madara Uchiha summoned by Ren Mori came from the point in time after the Fourth Shinobi World War.

It was the Madara who, after finally opening his heart to Hashirama Senju, had died for good.

This world…

had no Ninjutsu.

This world…

had no Konoha.

This world…

had none of the hatred or love that had once bound him.

All that remained— was a chance to begin again.

“Here.” Suddenly, Ren Mori’s voice came from behind him.

Madara had just turned around when Ren Mori tossed a gourd-shaped bottle toward him.

Although Madara did not understand what Ren Mori intended, instinctively, he still reached out and caught it.

Before he could ask anything, Ren Mori spoke again.

“This is alcohol from this world.

Whitebeard gave it to me.” “I normally can’t even bring myself to drink much of it.” “But today’s a good day, so we might as well drink our fill.” Madara said nothing.

He looked at Ren Mori, then down at the jug in his hand.

Finally, he removed the stopper and took a large gulp.

“Pfft!” The very next second, Madara spat it straight back out.

“This is what you call good alcohol?” “It tastes awful.” Setting aside the fact that this alcohol came from an entirely different world, even in Ren Mori’s original world, different countries had vastly different ideas about what counted as good alcohol.

So when the gap was between entirely different worlds, the difference was naturally even greater.

Ren Mori did not care much about Madara’s reaction.

He walked over, took the jug from Madara, and drank several large mouthfuls himself.

Only then did he speak.

“That’s normal.” “You’ll get used to it eventually.” …

Time passed quickly.

A full day went by.

In theory, the addition of a new member to Ren Mori’s 17th Division should have made things livelier.

Reality, however, was completely different.

Madara spent most of his time standing alone on top of the ship, letting the sea breeze blow past him.

Only occasionally would he speak with Ren Mori about this world.

But Ren Mori understood Madara’s personality, so he did not care much.

Aside from handling the ship’s course, Ren Mori spent most of his remaining time training.

Although the vessel he was traveling on was merely a secondary ship, it was still equipped with everything he needed.

Early the next morning— both Ren Mori and Madara were still asleep.

Meanwhile, across the surrounding waters, a ship far larger than Ren Mori’s was steadily sailing toward them.

“Captain Jack!” “Captain Jack!

Something’s wrong!” On that ship, a pirate crew member hurriedly rushed into the interior.

At that moment, inside the ship’s main hall, one of the Beasts Pirates’ All-Stars— one of the infamous Three Calamities— Jack was still deep asleep.

Hearing the frantic shouting, he opened his eyes in irritation.

Then he growled coldly, “You bastard.

What the hell are you doing?” The crew member immediately shuddered.

Trembling, he hurriedly replied, “I’m terribly sorry, Captain Jack!” “But it’s an emergency!” “We’ve spotted a ship belonging to the Whitebeard Pirates up ahead.” ⚡ Support the Story & Unlock More Chapters!
