— year 1488 —

Three years.

Almost three full years had passed since Ramon was reincarnated into the world of One Piece.

And tomorrow would officially mark of Ramon’s third birthday.

A lot had changed during that time.

The balance of the world itself had started shifting after the destruction of the Rocks Pirates at God Valley Incident.

The monsters who once sailed together under Rocks D.

Xebec had now begun carving out their own legends across the seas.

Edward Newgate established the Whitebeard Pirates.

Charlotte Linlin continued expanding the power of the Big Mom Pirates.

Shiki and his Golden Lion Pirates had become a massive problem for the Marines.

And this year—

Kaido rescued King and officially formed the Beast Pirates.

Even now, Kaido was already becoming one of the most feared monsters in the New World.

The age of legends had begun.

Currently Ramon was standing on a branch of a tree in the forest.

Suddenly, Ramon began leaping from tree to tree at incredible speed.

His small body moved swiftly through the forest as he jumped from branch to branch while searching for food near the mountain.

The cold wind brushed past his face while leaves scattered around him.

Then—

Rustle!

A sound echoed from nearby.

Ramon instantly stopped moving.

His sharp eyes turned toward the source of the noise.

Near a large lake deep within the forest, a massive crocodile slowly crawled out from the water.

The beast was enormous.

At least five to ten times larger than Ramon himself.

Its sharp teeth gleamed under the sunlight while its monstrous body crushed the ground beneath its weight.

Seeing the creature, a grin slowly appeared on Ramon’s face.

He cracked his neck lightly before muttering,

“Yeah…”

“Looks like tonight’s dinner found itself.”

The moment he finished speaking—

BOOM!

Ramon directly jumped down from the tree branch.

The ground beneath him cracked slightly when he landed.

The crocodile immediately noticed him.

Its beastly eyes locked onto Ramon as if looking at prey.

But at the same time—

Ramon was also staring at it like a predator.

A dangerous excitement burned inside his eyes.

Over the past three years, Ramon had begun noticing something strange about himself.

He loved fighting.

No—

It was beyond simple enjoyment.

The moment battle started, his blood would boil with excitement.

Even he couldn’t understand where it came from.

In his previous life, he had never possessed such violent instincts.

But in this life…

It felt completely natural.

Like a beast hidden deep inside him constantly craved battle.

The more intense the fight became—

The more excited he felt.

Even after suffering countless punches from Garp during training visits, Ramon still wanted to continue fighting.

It was almost frightening.

Like the instincts of a war god that would never stop seeking battle.

Meanwhile, the giant crocodile suddenly lunged toward him with its jaws wide open.

Ramon grinned wildly.

Without hesitation, he charged forward as well.

The distance between them disappeared instantly.

Just before the crocodile could bite him—

Ramon jumped.

WHOOSH!

The crocodile’s massive jaws snapped shut beneath him.

Ramon landed directly on top of its snout before immediately kicking off again.

Then—

BOOM!

He landed near the crocodile’s tail.

Without wasting a second, Ramon grabbed the giant tail with both hands.

Veins bulged across his tiny arms.

“HAAAAH!!”

With a roar, Ramon violently swung the massive crocodile through the air.

The beast’s eyes widened in shock.

CRASH!!

Its enormous body smashed directly into a nearby tree.

The tree cracked violently from the impact before collapsing halfway.

The crocodile crashed onto the ground painfully.

Before it could even recover—

BOOM!

Ramon instantly jumped onto its face and began punching it relentlessly.

BAM!

BAM!

BAM!

BAM!!

Each punch shook the ground slightly.

The crocodile desperately struggled and thrashed around wildly, trying to throw him off.

But Ramon continued attacking nonstop.

The battle lasted several minutes.

Finally—

THUD!

The crocodile collapsed onto the ground completely unconscious.

Ramon also dropped onto the grass nearby while breathing heavily.

Sweat covered his body, but an excited grin remained on his face.

“Hah… Hah…”

Then suddenly—

“WOOOHOOO!!”

“That was an amazing fight!!”

His laughter echoed throughout the forest.

After resting for a few moments, Ramon slowly stood back up.

Then, with shocking strength for a three-year-old child, he lifted the giant crocodile onto his shoulder like luggage.

“Alright,” he muttered happily.

“Time to head home.”

And just like that, Ramon casually began dragging tonight’s dinner back toward Foosha Village.

When the villagers of Foosha Village saw Ramon returning from the forest while carrying a gigantic crocodile on his shoulder, they all sighed helplessly.

However, none of them looked particularly shocked anymore.

After all…

This was far from the first time.

For the past several months, Ramon had constantly returned from the mountain carrying giant beasts much larger than himself.

At this point, the villagers were already getting used to the ridiculous sight.

Still, it remained unbelievable every single time.

The village chief, Woop Slap, walked forward while rubbing his forehead tiredly.

“Ramon…” he sighed.

“Why are you doing this again?”

“You should act more like a normal child.”

“Why do you keep going deep into the forest alone?”

Ramon looked at him innocently before shrugging.

“Sorry, Grandpa Woop Slap, but what can I do?”

He flexed his tiny arm proudly.

“My muscles and body don’t listen to me.”

“If I don’t find an interesting fight, I start getting bored.”

The village chief took a deep breath.

Honestly, sometimes he wondered whether all members of the Monkey family were born insane.

“Then at least help the villagers carry cargo or something,” Woop Slap muttered helplessly.

“Maybe that’ll keep you entertained.”

Ramon instantly shook his head.

“No way.”

“That’s boring.”

“I want fights, not weightlifting.”

Woop Slap stared at the massive crocodile resting on Ramon’s shoulder.

“…You say that while casually carrying something even four or five grown men would struggle to lift together.”

Ramon immediately burst into laughter.

“KUHAHAHA!”

“Sorry, Grandpa.”

“I’m just built different.”

Woop Slap snorted before chuckling slightly himself.

“Of course you are.”

“You’re a member of the Monkey family after all.”

Then he crossed his arms while remembering the past.

“Your father and grandfather were monsters even as children.”

“They used to lift things bigger than themselves too.”

Ramon grinned proudly.

“Well, greatness clearly runs in the bloodline.”

Woop Slap immediately smacked the back of his head lightly.

“Don’t get cocky, brat.”

“KUHAHAHA!”

Soon, the two began walking back toward the house together while casually talking.

Along the way, Ramon excitedly started telling stories about the forest.

“Grandpa, you won’t believe what I saw earlier!”

“What now?” Woop Slap asked tiredly.

“A giant bear fighting a tiger!”

“They were both huge!”

“And they kept roaring at each other while bleeding everywhere!”

Ramon’s eyes practically sparkled with excitement while describing the fight.

Meanwhile, Woop Slap only sighed again.

‘Definitely a Monkey.’

…

Eventually, night fell over the village.

The crocodile meat was cooked into a massive meal.

Soon, Ramon and Woop Slap sat together and started eating dinner.

Well—

To be more accurate, Woop Slap ate like a normal person.

Meanwhile, Ramon practically devoured everything in sight.

Plate after plate disappeared rapidly.

Meat.

Soup.

Rice.

More meat.

And somehow—

He still wasn’t full.

Watching the terrifying amount of food vanish, Woop Slap could only stare blankly.

“…Thank goodness I’m not the one paying for your meals.”

“If I had to feed you every day, I’d become bankrupt within a week.”

Ramon immediately laughed loudly.

“KUHAHAHA!”

“Sorry about that, Grandpa!”

“But don’t worry.”

“I have Grandpa Garp paying for everything!”

Suddenly—

A loud voice echoed from behind them.

“OF COURSE YOU DO!!”

Both Ramon and Woop Slap froze.

Slowly, they turned around.

And the moment they saw the newcomer—

Their eyes widened.

Standing behind them was none other than Monkey D.

Garp.

And resting on his shoulder…

Was a gigantic sea beast over a hundred meters long.

The enormous creature looked terrifying even after death.

Meanwhile, Garp grinned proudly.

“BWAHAHAHAHA!!”

“You brats started eating without me?!”

Then he pointed toward the massive sea beast behind him.

“Look what I caught on the way here!”

“This thing looked delicious!”

“Come on!

Let’s cook it!”

Ramon’s eyes instantly lit up with excitement.

“GRANDPA!!”

“BWAHAHAHA!!”

Soon, the entire house became noisy as Ramon, Garp, and Woop Slap began preparing even more food together while laughing and talking loudly throughout the night.

Soon, the food was finally ready.

The gigantic sea beast brought by Monkey D.

Garp had been cooked into countless dishes, filling the entire house with an incredible smell.

Without wasting any time, Garp and Ramon immediately started eating.

Or more accurately—

Competing.

“BWAHAHAHAHA!!”

“Eat faster, brat!”

“KUHAHAHA!!”

“You’re too slow, Grandpa!”

Plate after plate disappeared at terrifying speed.

The villagers watching nearby could only stare in horror as mountains of food vanished nonstop.

Although Ramon had already eaten earlier with Woop Slap, he still somehow continued eating like a bottomless pit.

Honestly, it was frightening.

Even Garp looked slightly surprised.

Eventually, after the two monsters finally stopped eating, the leftovers were distributed among the villagers.

Several minutes later, Garp leaned back lazily while rubbing his stomach.

“Haaah…”

“That was good.”

Meanwhile, Ramon sat nearby looking completely satisfied.

After resting for a short while, Garp suddenly looked toward Ramon seriously.

“Ramon.”

“Hm?” Ramon responded.

“I want you to join the Marines when you grow up.”

Ramon blinked once before asking calmly,

“Will I get to fight strong opponents?”

The moment Garp heard that—

“BWAHAHAHAHA!!”

He burst into loud laughter.

“Just as I thought!”

“All you think about is fighting!”

Ramon grinned shamelessly.

“Well… fighting is fun.”

Garp suddenly stood up.

CRACK!

CRACK!

He clenched his fists, causing his knuckles to crack loudly.

“Come on then.”

He looked directly at Ramon with a grin.

“Let’s see how much stronger you’ve gotten.”

The moment Ramon heard that—

A dangerous excitement ignited inside his eyes.

He immediately stood up as well.

“Finally!”

Ramon grinned fiercely.

“Today, I’ll definitely leave at least a few scratches on you before I lose!”

“BWAHAHAHAHA!!”

“We’ll see about that, brat!”

The next second—

BOOM!!

Ramon instantly launched himself toward Garp at incredible speed.

Despite being only three years old, his movement was shockingly fast.

He threw a punch directly toward Garp’s face.

But Garp casually tilted his head sideways.

WHOOSH!

The punch missed completely.

Then—

BONK!!

Garp casually flicked Ramon’s forehead with one finger.

“OWWWWW!!”

Ramon immediately crashed onto the ground while clutching his forehead in pain.

“That hurts!!”

Garp crossed his arms proudly.

“That’s the Fist of Love for you!”

Ramon slowly stood back up while glaring at him.

“I swear…”

“One day, I’m definitely beating you.”

“You devil grandpa!”

The moment Garp heard the word “devil”—

Veins instantly appeared on his forehead.

“WHO ARE YOU CALLING DEVIL, YOU BRAT?!”

BOOM!!

Another punch instantly flew toward Ramon.

Ramon quickly jumped sideways to dodge it.

The punch smashed directly into the ground behind him, creating cracks everywhere.

Dust exploded into the air.

Seeing that terrifying power, Ramon only laughed excitedly.

“KUHAHAHAHA!!”

“Who else would I call a devil besides you?!”

“YOU LITTLE BRAT!!”

Garp immediately charged toward him again.

Meanwhile, Ramon also rushed forward fearlessly.

Both grandfather and grandson laughed loudly while throwing themselves into battle once more.

“BWAHAHAHAHA!!”

“KUHAHAHAHA!!”

A few minutes later—

BOOM!!

Ramon’s small body crashed violently into the ground.

Cracks spread beneath him as dust exploded into the air.

Nearby, Monkey D.

Garp stood proudly with his arms crossed.

“BWAHAHAHAHA!!”

“You’re still a hundred years too early to challenge me, brat!”

Despite the pain covering his body, Ramon slowly pushed himself back onto his feet.

His breathing was rough.

Bruises covered his arms and face.

But even then—

His eyes still burned fiercely.

Ramon glared directly at Garp.

“I won’t lose…”

Garp’s grin widened.

“Oh?”

Ramon slowly took another step forward.

Then another.

“I won’t lose, Grandpa.”

“Not now.”

“Not today.”

“Not ever.”

The moment those words left his mouth—

BOOOOOOM!!!

An enormous pressure suddenly exploded out from Ramon’s body.

The ground beneath his feet shattered instantly.

Cracks spread throughout the area while violent winds erupted outward in every direction.

Black lightning began flickering wildly around Ramon’s body.

The air itself felt heavy.

Terrifying.

Oppressive.

The pressure spread across the entire village in an instant.

Villagers collapsed unconscious one after another.

Even animals within the nearby forest dropped to the ground as the shockwave expanded several kilometers away.

Garp’s laughter suddenly stopped.

His eyes widened.

For the first time since arriving at the village—

The Hero of the Marines looked genuinely shocked.

“…Ramon?”

The pressure continued growing stronger.

Black and crimson lightning crackled violently around the child.

The very atmosphere trembled.

Then suddenly—

THUD!

Ramon’s body collapsed forward onto the ground.

The pressure instantly disappeared.

Silence filled the village.

Garp stared at the unconscious child for several seconds before slowly taking a deep breath.

“…Conqueror’s Haki.”

His eyes narrowed slightly.

“And this strong… right after awakening?”

Even Garp himself looked disturbed by what he had just witnessed.

He remembered the first time he encountered monsters like Gol D.

Roger unleashing their spirit.

But this…

This was different.

Even Roger’s Haki had not been this overwhelming during its initial awakening.

Garp slowly looked down at the unconscious Ramon lying in the cracked ground.

Then he muttered quietly,

“…What kind of monster was born into our family?”

The next morning, Ramon slowly opened his eyes.

Sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating the small room warmly.

For several seconds, he simply stared at the wooden ceiling above him in confusion.

“…Huh?”

Slowly, Ramon sat up from the bed while rubbing his head.

His body still felt slightly sore from yesterday’s fight against Monkey D.

Garp.

Looking around, he quickly realized he was inside the house of Woop Slap.

The room was quiet.

No one else was present.

Ramon frowned slightly.

“What happened yesterday…?”

Just as he was trying to remember—

BANG!!

The door suddenly flew open violently.

“BWAHAHAHAHA!!”

A loud laugh echoed throughout the room as Garp casually walked inside.

“Looks like you finally woke up, brat!”

Ramon stared at him blankly.

“…Grandpa.”

Then he asked curiously,

“What happened after the fight?”

Garp crossed his arms proudly.

“You passed out.”

Ramon blinked once.

“…That’s it?”

Garp remained silent for a few moments.

Then his expression slowly became more serious.

“No.”

“You awakened something yesterday.”

Ramon tilted his head slightly.

“…Awakened?”

Garp nodded.

“Conqueror’s Haki.”

The moment Ramon heard those words—

His eyes widened instantly.

“…Really?”

“Yeah.”

Garp looked directly at him.

“And not just ordinary Conqueror’s Haki either.”

“That pressure you released yesterday knocked out almost the entire village.”

Ramon froze.

“…Seriously?”

“BWAHAHAHAHA!!”

Garp burst into loud laughter again.

“You should’ve seen the villagers dropping like flies!”

Ramon sweatdropped slightly.

Honestly…

That sounded terrifying.

Then Garp suddenly walked closer before placing a massive hand on Ramon’s head.

“But listen carefully, brat.”

His tone became unusually serious.

“Conqueror’s Haki isn’t something ordinary people possess.”

“Only those born with the qualities of a king can awaken it.”

“And your Haki…”

Garp paused briefly.

“…Is abnormally strong.”

Even now, remembering yesterday’s pressure still shocked him slightly.

Ramon remained silent for a moment.

Then slowly—

A grin spread across his face.

“So that means…”

“I’m awesome?”

Garp instantly smacked the back of his head.

BONK!

“Don’t get cocky, idiot!”

“Ow!!”

Ramon immediately clutched his head in pain.

Meanwhile, Garp only laughed loudly again.

“BWAHAHAHAHA!!”

“That stupid personality really suits this family!”

Suddenly—

“GARP!!”

A loud shout echoed from outside the room.

“What are you doing in my house, you idiot?!”

“Are you trying to destroy it?!”

“Why did you kick the door again?!”

The furious voice belonged to none other than Woop Slap.

A moment later, the village chief stormed into the room angrily.

Behind him, the poor wooden door hung slightly crooked from Garp’s earlier kick.

Meanwhile, Monkey D.

Garp scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

“BWAHAHAHA!

Sorry, sorry!”

“My mistake!”

Woop Slap’s eye twitched violently.

“YOU SAY THAT EVERY TIME!!”

“You’ve broken my door more times than pirates have attacked this village!”

Garp laughed shamelessly.

“Then just buy a stronger door!”

“YOU BUY IT YOURSELF!!”

Watching the two old men argue loudly with each other, Ramon couldn’t help letting out a small laugh.

Honestly…

The atmosphere felt nice.

Warm.

Peaceful.

For the first time in both his current and previous life, Ramon truly felt something simple yet precious.

A family.

Even if one of them was a door-destroying monster.

Ramon looked quietly at Garp and Woop Slap while they continued arguing nonstop.

Then a faint smile slowly appeared on his face.

‘Things are going pretty well…’

‘At least for now.’
