By he time I got back to the tribe borders, I was panting as loud as a dog…I slapped my hands on my knees and slowly bent down to catch my breath but before I could, something gripped me by the arms and pulled me up.

I cried out in surprise only to find a man staring down at me with pure anger in his eyes.

I hope it’s one of the male leads?

“Lyrielle, you foolish female.

Where have you been?

You almost gave father a heart attack!!” He growled out at me abd my brows furrowed in confusion.

Father….?

Host, this is your brother, Fenrir.

Brother?

Brother?

Fenrir?

Oh yes!!!

I remember now, wasn’t he supposed to be the younger one?

I’m sure I wrote him more younger than the original owner so what’s going on here?

Host, he’s younger than you of course.

But he has always been this way to the original owner and she never said anything about it.

Ohh, so he thinks he can just pull and insult me to my face and I would let him go scout free?

Host… “Come with me now and explain to fath—” “Let go of my arm!” I pulled my arm away from his, my face scrunching up into a frown and he stopped to stare at me.

“You…who are you yelling at?” “I’m yelling at you!!

Are you deaf?” I asked and his nostril flared up.

“For laying a hand on a female, I should have father whip you to death so you know never to do it again, and you dare call me foolish, I see you’re tired of living!” I barked at him and he stumbled back in shock.

“You—” “You, you what?

Can’t speak again?

With that courage of yours, I wonder how how you’re going to find a mate in this tribe!!” I snorted at him and his face flushed red in embarrassment as he raised his hands to point at me.

“What are you saying?

What gives you the right to yell at me?” He asked and I walked forward a bit, raising an eyebrow at him.

“You want to know?” I asked, my voice deceptively soft and he nodded.

“Okay, come closer…let me tell you so no one hears.” I beckoned him closer and he sneaked a glance around at the tribes men that had gathered at the borders due to the commotion.

He flushed further before he leaned in closer to me to listen to what I had to say and I grinned maliciously before delivering a sharp slap to his head.

“Because I’m your older sister, you ugly bird!!” “You—i’m a wolf, not a bird!!” He yelled, clutching his head as he shifted away from me and I smirked.

“Father is a wolf, you?

You’re a bird!” I retorted and his eyes flashed with anger but I raised my hand again and he shifted back.

“I’m a wolf…I take after father,” he mumbled and I downright laughed so hard, I had to bend down to catch my breath.

“Then go fight him!

You take after father?

Are you playing with me?

Or do you really believe that nonsense?” I asked and he flushed more redder than a tomato.

“Lyrielle!!!” He screamed at me and my laughter increased so hard my shoulders began to shake.

“Big baby,” I mumbled under my breath before arranging the basket well on my back and walking past him without as much as a sidelong glance.

“Where are you going?” He asked as he rushed up to me and I spared him a funny glance but said nothing to respond to him.

“Where’s fa—” “Lyrielle!!” I raised my head up to find father standing right in front of me and cried out in surprise.

“Jesus Christ, how did you get here?” I cried out, a hand clutching my chest and he cocked his head in confusion.

“Jes…Jesus Christ?” He asked and I waved my hands, of course they didn’t know about that.

Host, seriously What?

It’s true.

“Where have you been?

I was worried about you!” He exclaimed, drawing me closer to check me over for injuries and I smiled sheepishly as I let him do whatever he wanted.

“I…I was in the forests.

But don’t worry, I was safe in a cave.” yep, I was…after the whole battle with the serpent and Noctis and such.

But I wasn’t about to say all that, I’m certain father would put me under lock and key if he heard that.

Although I still had to warn him about the Teir-striped serpents too because if they were this close to the tribe, it could bring danger to everyone if they decided to make this their hunting grounds.

“Are you sure?” Father asked and I nodded.

“Don’t worry, I went to the forests to get some things.

It got late and I didn’t want to travel at night so I found a cave to stay in till this morning.

Nothing happened.” I explained and he sighed before visibly relaxing and patting my head.

I closed my eyes to the feeling and he chuckled.

“That’s good, let’s go back ins—whats that?” He pointed to the basket bag behind my back and I smiled.

“I call it a basket,” i lied and his brows furrowed in confusion.

“Bas—basket?

What’s it for?” He asked and i smiled wider.

“I made it yesterday to hold things, it’s sturdy and done spoil for a very very long time.

It can be used to carry things more easily and also store things too.

The hunters can take it with them during their hunting to put their kills in it too!” I rambled on and on and father’s eyes kept widening in fascination until I finished.

“This is good thing!

How did you do it?” He asked and I scratched my head before I began to explain again.

“I cut down a bamboo, cut the bamboo into two then into strips as long as I wanted it and then I gathered the strips and took it to the river then soaked it… it’s a long process.” I simply said and he nodded, clearly not following a single thing I had just said.

“Um..

Lyrielle?” A voice called out from behind father and I glanced around him to find a young female staring at me with nervousness clear in her eyes and actions.

“What is it?” I asked, my voice as soft as possible but she still jumped as if in fright and my brows furrowed.

Well, it was to be expected…after all, many hated the original owner with passion.

“Can you teach me how to make one?

I would like to use it for the next annual picking.” She said with a small smile and my brows furrowed.

Picking?

Annual picking?

Yes, it’s a two day trip that is meant for females to go and gather supplies for the upcoming winter.

It happens before and after winter and maybe some other designated times too Ohhh winter?

That’s true, winter would soon be here, I need so much!!

I’ll worry about that later though.

“Alright, if you can learn then I will teach yo—” “Saphira, don’t listen to that evil female.

Who knows where she got that thing from and she’s claiming that she made it herself!!

Didn’t she say something about a river?

Who knows, she might drown you in it when she takes you there!!” A voice called out viciously from the crowd and the female in question jumped in fear before she turned and scurried away like a cat.

I looked in the direction of the voice only to sign when I discovered who it was.

I didn’t go find you and you came to find me by yourself.

Nyssa glared at me with pure hate in her eyes and it only worsened when I smiled and stepped past father.

“Nyssa, how dare you sow discord?

Don’t you think of how helpful this would be to us all?” Father admonished and she only hissed before rolling her eyes and I smiled.

“Nyssa, don’t you owe me beast skins?

About six?” I asked, my voice sweet and she turned her eyes over to me in surprise but I didn’t let her speak before turning to father.

“Father, Nyssa destroyed my beast skins….all of them.

She also promised that she would get me new ones to pay for it.

But she never brought it as promised, this is simply saying that you’re nothing in her face!!” I cried out and murmurings filled the air as some beats men nodded.

This was a calculated move.

After all, I just made known that there was something that could help many in this tribe, if not all.

No one wanted to get on my bad side, after all they knew my character…*cough* former owner’s character.

But still, it was helpful to me right now.

Who knew?

“You lying wench!!

I never promise you anything and I respect the chief!!” She yelled, walking out from within her three beast mates and I almost broke character and smiled at how foolish she was.

That was exactly what I wanted her to say.

Fish hooked, time to pull her in.

“You say you respect the chief, then prove it.

Return everything you destroyed to me!!” I cried out, even forcing some tears to my eyes to make it believable and her nostrils flared in anger.

“You…you….” “Enough!

If you destroyed her things then return it to her immediately!” Father cautioned and she shrinked at his annoyed tone before sending me a pained glare.

“Get her the beast skins!” She ordered her mates furiously and one of them nodded before waving his hand and a bundle of beast skins appeared on them and he walked over to me to hand it over.

Storage space?!!!

How?

Many beast males are able to create their own pocket dimensions, storage space as you called it…once they get to a certain Tier..

What Tier?

Tier four So all my targets might have space?

No, not all of them.

Only the serpent, the fox, and the black panther.

Ohhh, that’s good.

Now I have all the more reason to gain their favors.

Survival apart but those storage space could hold so much!!

It could…it could even help me out during winter!!

Don’t be too happy, not all pocket dimensions come with inherent preservations.

So if things are not preserved well if put there, it spoils more faster Arrghhhhh!!
