Well, except the high levels storage space.
There are levels to it?
Of course, a Tier Nine beast male’s pocket dimension can hold things for a very long time with spoilage.
Any of my targets at Tier Nine?
Unfortunately, no Hmph.
I deflated at the thought and brought the beast skins into my chest to alleviate some of my pain.
And the sight of those beautiful animal skins did just as I wanted and a small smile graced my lips once again.
“Father, I’ll come see you later in the evening.
I have to return back to my cave now.” I said and father nodded before shooing me away with a warm smile.
I returned back to my cave only to stop dead in my tracks at whom was standing there, at the mouth of the cave as if waiting for someone.
Female protagonist?
Oh, it has been a whole since we last saw her Yeah, I wonder where she had been to and what she was even doing here at all.
Her lips broke out into a radiant smile, soft and warm enough to make the tense atmosphere around her ease almost instantly.
Beautiful.
That was the only word most people could think of whenever they looked at her.
Unlike Lyrielle’s overwhelming beauty that struck like a sudden storm, hers was gentler—like sunlight spilling over calm water after winter.
Long honey-blonde hair cascaded down her back in loose waves, glowing beneath the sunlight like spun gold.
A few strands framed her delicate face, softening the naturally graceful features that already made her look almost unreal.
Her eyes were even worse.
Clear pale blue, bright and sparkling with life, carrying an innocence that made people instinctively lower their guards around her.
They curved beautifully whenever she smiled, making her appear kind, approachable…safe.
And perhaps that was the most dangerous thing about her.
She looked harmless, small, fragile even.
But beneath that sweet appearance was the female protagonist of this world—the one fate itself favored.
The one every male lead had originally fallen in love with.
The one Lyrielle had personally written to be loved by everyone.
System, I think I’m seeing what you mean now.
Told you!
Yeah, don’t gloat about it.
“Lyrielle!” Her voice sounded like warm honey—sweet, soft, and gentle enough to make people instinctively want to trust her.
The kind of voice that could calm others without even trying.
No wonder the male leads had all fallen for her in the original story.
Even I, the person who literally wrote her, almost felt my guard lowering.
Almost.
Because unlike everybody else here, I knew better.
This female protagonist might look like a harmless little flower…but she was still the same terrifying plot-armored creature who somehow survived every disaster I threw at her while writing.
“What are you doing here?” I asked and almost facepalmed at how straightforward I had just been but well, what’s done is done.
If there’s one thing I didn’t want around me right now, it was a female protagonist…who knows when I might say or do something wrong to her and the heavens would just strike me down immediately?!
She smiled warmly at me as she walked down the steep rocks that led to my cave before finally standing right in front of me.
Like, she stepped right into my private space and my head short circuited as I quickly took two steps backwards.
Now, hold on girl… ain’t no reason to come up all close.
You can say whatever it is you want to say…right where you’re at right now.
Good choice “How have you been?
I heard that you left the tribe the day before, why are you just coming back now and with all this stuff?” She prodded and my brows furrowed imperceptibly.
I don’t think I wrote the female lead as chatty and a female who didn’t know how to mind her own business.
“I went out to pick up some things that I needed,” I simply explained and I felt her smile begin to strain.
“But you went alone?” She asked softly, her pale blue eyes sweeping over the beast skins in my arms.
“The forest outside the tribe isn’t safe right now.” Ah.
There it was.
That weird probing feeling again.
“Luckily for me, I came back alive.” I answered casually.
Her laughter was light and gentle.
“You sound different lately.” My heart skipped.
System?
Gone.
Wonderful.
“Different?” I repeated carefully.
“Mhm.” She nodded slowly.
“You don’t glare at me anymore.” Because the old Lyrielle was obsessed with murdering you, maybe?
“You’re imagining things.” “Am I?” she tilted her head slightly, studying me in a way that suddenly made me uncomfortable.
“I thought you hated me.” Host, if I were there right now, I’d tell you to run.
Very helpful.
Thank you.
I forced out an awkward laugh.
“That’s a strange thing to ask someone directly.” “I just wanted to know.” She said softly.
“You used to follow Elias around all the time too…but lately you haven’t even looked at him.” Okay now THAT was suspicious.
Because why was she monitoring my movements?!
“I’ve been busy.” I replied shortly.
“With what?” she asked immediately.
My eye twitched.
Oh this woman was fishing for information so badly that she was failing so hard to hide it away from me.
“I didn’t know we became close enough for interrogations.” For the first time since arriving, her smile faltered slightly…only slightly but I caught it.
“I wasn’t interrogating you.” She said gently.
“I was only worried.” Worried my ass.
The female protagonist in my novel was kind, yes, but she wasn’t clingy or overly curious.
She was calm, graceful, and usually kept a certain distance from others.
This…his version of her felt oddly persistent, like she was trying very hard to confirm something.
Her gaze dropped toward the neatly folded beast skins in my arms again and something flashed in her eyes before she turned her gaze to my basket backpack.
“Can you tell me how to make this stuff?” She asked and I finally smiled, a fake one.
Host, she’s acting way too suspicious.
I don’t think you described her this way in her character description.
Yeah, I’m well aware of that.
What you should be doing is fixing this damn bug or finding out why it’s happening.
Oh right, sorry.
I’ll go meet the main system now.
“I’ll do that alongside the other females—” “No!” “Huh?” She smiled quickly.
“What I meant was that, I want you to teach me how to do it alone.” There was something strange in her eyes now.
Expectation or anticipation, almost like she was waiting for my answer a little too eagerly.
“Well, I won’t be able to do that.
I can’t do the teaching unless about five females or males choose to learn it.” I explained and something flashed across her eyes, but it was so fast that I couldn’t catch what it was.
Was that disappointment?
Frustration?
No…it looked like something colder.
But chills still ran down my spine as she inhaled deeply before pulling back up her smile.
“I see.” She murmured softly.
“Then I’ll gather others.” Wait.
Since when was the female protagonist this determined about making a basket?!
I know it’s new and all but still…
“Alright, I’ll be back.” She said, tapping my shoulder lightly before turning around.
Then she paused halfway down the rocky path and glanced back at me with that same gentle smile.
“You really have changed, Lyrielle.” My stomach twisted strangely because for some reason…the way she said it didn’t sound happy at all.
She walked away shortly after and I just stood there staring at her back until she disappeared around a bend.
“What the actual hell…just happened?” I mumbled to myself as I turned around to return to my cave but someone caught my eyes just a few meters away from the path I was standing on.
It was the female from last time, the one that I had borrowed a needle and thread from.
“Come over if you’re free!” I waved enthusiastically at her and her eyes widened in surprise before she waved her boney hands back at me and I smiled widely.
“I have lots of things to show you!” I added before I climbed up the steep rocks and gave her a last wave before retreating into my cave.
But I failed to notice the way she kept watching me, as if she knew something that I did not.
