“I’ll give you that if you treat me,” he negotiated and I laughed, the sound full of humor.

Who’s going to help you?

Not me!

Who knows if your enemy might come back and kill me alongside y—” “Twenty silver cores!” “Deal!” My eyes sparkled with delight as I quickly rushed up to him and knelt down by his side then raised my hands up to heal him but then stopped myself at the last moment.

Why?

Wouldn’t this be like a call for trouble?

What if he brings back all his singy little merfolk with him to cause trouble or something?

After all females are known not to be able to have any abilities at all…not even the smallest of abilities.

MiuMiu?

Yes, host.

Do you have anything we can use to knock him out?

Host….you know the rul— I’ll give you one silver core to sell if you agree Two silver cores!

Deal!

Urggh, fine.

Do it.

With pleasure, Host.

A sharp light flashed between us and his eyes widened slightly for a moment before he instantly blacked out and fell to the ground without hesitation.

Uh.

MiuMiu, what did you use on him?

Blackout powder.

The system mall has it.

It says here in the description that …it comes from the…Interstellar World and it’s supposed to be used on…Beasts who went crazy during their upgrades…Hehehe, sorry Host.

Beasts who went crazy during their upgrades?

You mean someone like Noctis?

He didn’t go crazy during his upgrade but maybe?

Hahahaha, well that’s good stuff.

I laughed with pure excitement as I raised my hand back up over him and called forth my ability and instantly, green light spilled out of my hands and wrapped around him.

I sighed as I continued and soon, his injuries began to close up in front of my eyes.

“Well, this ability sure is good.” I begrudgingly announced and a sharp ding filled my head.

See????

Don’t get too cocky.

My eyes blurred as I continued healing him and then I yawned, glaring at the injury as it completely knitted itself and the former bleeding injury healed over.

Then I retracted my hands and laid down on my back, facing the starry skies with a small groan of exhaustion leaving my lips.

MiuMiu?

Yes, dearest host of mine!

Ohh, cheerful.

I can imagine how much you’ll make today with the silver cores.

Anyway, I have a question to ask.

Go right ahead!

Heh.

I smiled as I stared at the gorgeous merfolk beside me before asking with a quirky smirk.

Is he also part of my five male leads?

Unfortunately, no.

Well, that’s great.

That means there’s one without a past with me that I can us—.

Host, merfolk have been trained to survive in the water and also on land but mostly to hunt.

After the war that claimed most of their lives and bloodlines, led by the land dwellers, they have been taught never to be deceived into mateship by the land dwellers.

Huh?

Why did they go to war with them?

There are lots of reason but one stands to be the fact that they control salt and the land dwellers discovered that salt helps strengthen their immune system and protects them from some types of illnesses that had previously claimed lives about a hundred years back.

Ohh, go on.

So land dwellers thought the sea dwellers were intentionally making them dependent on the scraps of rock salt they bring to sell on land and after a while, the seed of hate grew more and more and they began to attack the merfolk scattered across the lands.

That’s…that’s brutal, are their thinking really so backwards?

Or is this just typical human nature awakening inside them?

Well, whatever it was….it claimed a whole lot of lives before the City Lord forcefully out an end to it.

City Lord?

So he stayed until they killed so much of the merfolk before he decided it was time to intervene?

Doesn’t make any sense to me.

Why didn’t he just stop them before…it happened?

Hmm, your questions makes sense but…I don’t know.

Maybe he was also trying to wipe them out?

For benefits?

Greed right?

Sure sounds like something these people would do.

A groan broke me out of thoughts and I quickly sat up only to find that the merfolk from earlier had woken up and it was already getting way too late out here.

Not to be a bearer of bad luck but…could you please hurry up with the awakening process?

You shouldn’t lag after being healed, you should not be acting like GoTV after I haven’t subscribed for months!

“Um…could you…hurry that a long?” I voiced out and as he sat up, he raised his blue eyes up to glare at me, weariness sh in inh within them.

“You…” he shook his head as he raised a hand to point at me and I immediately slapped it away.

“You, you what?

Don’t think you can renege on your debt after I used up so many resources to make sure you’re this healed!

Taking twenty silver cores from you is practically robbing myself here!” I exclaimed, my lips tipping up into an annoyed look and he blinked, then glanced down at his stomach and when he couldn’t find the injury, he finally raised his eyes up to meet mine.

“What?” It’s not as if I used any resources but whatever…as long as the debt is repaid in full.

“Thank you.

How did you do it?” He asked, rubbing a hand all over his abs and my tongue snarked out of my mouth to lick at my lips.

Well, those abs are… Host?

Oh.

“Don’t ask unnecessary questions, pay up!” I quickly returned back to myself and he raised an eyebrow at me then he waved his hands and many silver cores appeared out of thin air on the ground.

Storage space?

Well, look what you have.

You’re becoming more appealing by the minute.

Abs, check.

Handsome, check.

Generous, check.

Money, check.

Storage space, check!!!

I quickly counted the silver cores on the ground and saw that it was about twenty cores and then there were about five other different cores that I didn’t know what it was.

“What’s this?” I asked, staring at the strange green glowing cores and he looked surprised at the question.

“You don’t know what they are?” he asked and I gave him an unimpressed look.

“If I did, would I be asking you?” I fired back and he had the nerve to look embarrassed.

He scratched the back of his head before responding.

“It’s an earth core.

Females use them to preserve growth and lengthen their lifespans and some others while males use them to nourish themselves or heal themselves.” He explained and I nodded, filing the information out for later before I pursed my lips and glare at him.

How do I take all these back now?

I don’t even know how to use my space and I didn’t come out with my basket!

Well, let me use my clothes…the ones I changed out from before and then the rest can be packed into the bundle it came with.

With that plan in mind, I began to put it into motion and soon, I had it all tied up in different packages.

Some went into my beast skins skirt and some went to my chest and tummy wrap while the rest went into the large bundle I had use in bringing my clothes here.

When I finally wrapped the bundle up and tied it, I turned to find the male staring at me in surprise.

“What are you staring at?” I asked and he flushed red, much to my surprise.

What’s going on with this one?

Is it my face?

Knew I should have covered it up before.

But I had thought that with everyone having seen what I now looked like, I didn’t think it mattered anymore.

“Nothing!

Can I ask you something?!” He exclaimed and I nodded.

“Go for it…” “Why do you speak so weird?

And also, don’t you know what species I am?” he asked and I chuckled.

“Sorry, I’ve been speaking that way since I know myself.” Well, wrong.

I just want you to get back into your water now that the deal has been completed and swim away with the fishes while I go sleep with my silver cores in happiness.

“Also, you’re a merfolk.

What?

Should I start screaming and jumping because I saw one?” I asked and he slowly shook his head.

“Good.

Nice doing business with you, thank you for your generosity!” I exclaimed as I stood up and bent down to pack the ties up bundles into my arms then turned to leave.

“Wait!” “What is it?” “Can…can I at least know your name?” He asked hesitantly and I smirked.

My name sure will send you packing when you hear about what the original owner had done but okay.

“Lyrielle.” I threw back over my shoulders before walking away.

“Oh,” I stopped and glanced back with a mischievous grin on my face.

“I took the bone needle and thread I saw in your beast skin.

Thank you!” Then I bolted out of the place without looking back, not even once to make sure he wasn’t following.

Host, why did you steal from him?

Won’t this make you seem like the rest of the land dwellers?

Good, at least he’ll be alert around the next one he sees next time.

I could have stolen everything on him and he wouldn’t even have known I did.

Are beast males this way?

Not really but good job host.

Congratulations Host.
