As if he didn’t have the ability to get her the absurd things she had asked for.

To him, those meager things were simply not enough and was even insulting to him.

How could those beasts she asked for even be considered something hard.

And he knew that she just wanted to humiliate him once again as she always did.

That thought turned his countenance into a dark one and unwittingly, he turned around and slammed his fists into the bark of a tree and the tree let out a loud—CRACK—right before it split in half and went crashing down to the ground.

Staring at the tree in annoyance, he huffed and turned to leave but just then the sound of paws hitting the groin hard reached his ears and his brows furrowed as he turned around on his feet just in time as a brown furred tiger jumped right into the clearing he was standing at.

The tiger transformed and Noctis raised an eyebrow in question.

“Talon?” “The tribe has been attacked by several rogue beasts and without your help, the tribe makes and females will peri-” Lyrielle.

The name came quickly to his mind and he immediately began to head back to the tribe but stopped himself.

Why was he even thinking about helping that evil woman out?

It’s just to repay his debts, nothing more.

He could feel something mocking him in his chest but he decided to let go of it and instead go back to help the tribe.

Shaking his head, he swiftly transformed into his serpentine form and dashed off at high speed.

The air whizzed past his face and threaded through his hair like fingers caressing him as he sped through the forest and it didn’t take long for him to enter through the borders of the tribe.

He looked in the direction of the healer’s cave and hesitated a bit but the face of Talon had him balling his hands into fists before he turned towards the direction of the battle and quickly sped there.

The fierce roar of a lion was the first thing he heard before he rounded the corner and came face to face with a rogue serpentine beast and his coil lashed out with just a thought and slammed his sharp tail into the head of the serpent before discarding it with a flick of his tail.

His eyes flashed with malice as his massive tail slammed hard into the ground before he dashed forward and in a blur, he was standing at the other end of the battle space.

The scents were easy to pick out and it truly were the serpents but mostly, the scent was familiar and he knew forgetting those scents wouldn’t happen anytime soon.

His pursuers.

His eyes flashed red and without hesitation, Noctis shot into the forest and branches whipped past his face while trees blurred around him.

He moved swiftly between them, his massive body gliding over the forest floor with terrifying speed and that was when he saw them.

Two enormous serpents, one was dark green and the other was grey in color and the moment they noticed him, they both froze in place as shock filled their eyes.

“Noctis?” the grey serpent hissed.

“Impossible.” The green serpent’s tongue flicked out rapidly as if trying to confirm what he was seeing.

“You survived?” Noctis didn’t answer because he remembered every single one of them, he remembers the days they had spent hunting him, recalled the venom, the ambushes, and the constant pursuit while he was trying to survive his advancement.

And now they had followed him here, to this tribe.

His golden eyes narrowed and the two serpents immediately sensed something was wrong with him, very wrong.

Then they noticed the difference in his aura and the green serpent’s pupils shrank in pure shock.

“T-Tier Seven?” Neither serpent looked happy about that discovery, in fact, they both looked terrified because they both knew exactly what it meant.

The injured serpent they had been chasing was gone and standing before them now was a fully advanced Tier Seven beastman.

The grey serpent reacted first.

“Run!” But Noctis was already moving and as both serpents instantly turned around, Noctis moved.

His massive body shot forward like a black blur through the trees and in less than a second, he was already upon them and the grey serpent barely had enough time to glance backwards before something slammed into his side.

BOOM!

Several trees shattered as he was sent crashing through them and the serpent cried out in pain before his enormous body rolled violently across the forest floor.

Noctis didn’t even stop moving, his tail whipped around and wrapped itself around the green serpent and the rogue beast hissed wildly and immediately began struggling.

But it was too late, far too late for his pathetic struggles and Noctis tightened his coils.

CRACK!

A horrifying sound echoed through the forest and the dark green serpent screamed as several ribs instantly caved inward and blood spilled from his mouth.

“Noctis!” The grey serpent lunged back into the battle, jaws open wide as he aimed directly for Noctis’s neck and it was of course a stupid decision.

Noctis released the injured serpent and spun around and the two massive serpents collided.

Fangs crashed against scales as enormous bodies smashed through the surrounding forest as they fought for dominance.

The grey serpent tried to coil around him but he was no match for Noctis and Noctis simply overpowered him.

His advancement had changed everything for if it was before, the two serpents working together would have been enough to force him into retreat.

But now?

Now he was stronger and faster and far stronger than they were.

His tail wrapped around the grey serpent’s neck and the rogue beast immediately realized what was happening and pure terror and panic flashed through his eyes.

“No—” CRACK!

The neck snapped and the massive serpent went limp instantly…..Dead.

Noctis released the corpse and it hit the ground with a heavy thud and silence filled the forest as the remaining serpent stared at the body of his companion.

That was when fear flooded his face, real fear….the kind that came when death was standing directly in front of you.

He turned around and fled but Noctis followed him instantly and the distance between them soon closed rapidly.

The rogue serpent pushed himself harder, crashing through bushes and trees as he desperately tried to escape but he never made it far.

Noctis lunged and his jaws closed around the serpent’s tail, making the rogue beast scream as Noctis yanked backwards violently.

The serpent’s entire body slammed into the ground three times and the earth shook beneath the impacts as blood sprayed across the surrounding trees.

By the fourth slam, the serpent had already stopped moving and Noctis dropped the broken body.

His golden eyes remained fixed on it for several moments, as if he was waiting to make sure it was truly dead and after a few minutes, he finally looked away and his tail flicked as if to dispel the dirty blood on it.

The two leaders were dead and everyone who had dared follow them into this tribe would soon join them.

A cold hiss escaped his lips before he turned around and slithered back toward the battlefield.

When he got back there, he was surprised to see that the tribe chief and Elias had taken care of the others and he didn’t stop to exchange words with them before he fixed his gaze in the distance and dashed towards the healer’s cave.

He could hear two people following him as he did but he didn’t pay them any attention as he increased his speed and soon, he was already at the mouth of the cave but the pungent smell of blood and rot filled his nose and his brows furrowed in question as he snapped his head to the side to find a rogue beast dead at the feet of a female child.

He took one look at the hole on its head and memories filled his head of the other night when he had watched Lyrielle kill that Tier four beast with that sharp edged weapon.

She did this?

He remembered how her face had turned cold when she eventually slaughtered that Tier four mutated beast and nodded to himself.

This should be her handiwork.

He couldn’t be mistaken.

But how had she gotten so strong now and wh— He heard a sharp cry for the healer inside the cave and he instantly dashed into the cave only to find that Lyrielle had already fainted CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Velithra Like it ?
