“System, what’s going on?” I asked, sleep still muddling my mind.

Wake up host, Elias has discovered that it was you who healed his brother and he is currently headed this way.

How?

His brother saw you of course, do you think beast males are so useless in regards to security?

What?

He cannot know of this, how do I explain how I healed him?

I can’t see him now until I figure out a reasonable explanation to give him.

I stood up and quickly grabbed the bundle with meat and the two flint stones and left my cave with haste.

I knew I must have looked dishevelled for everyone to stop and stare as I rushed away, following the opposite side.

It didn’t take long to narrow down a path out to the border through a different set of roads but I soon got to the border and instantly left the tribe behind.

The guards looked way too stunned by something to speak but I didn’t know what so I didn’t pay them any attention.

Uh host, have you checked your face this morning?

My face?

What’s up with my face?

It’s different, doesn’t this make it say three in the beast world since you arrived here?

Yeah makes sense, I still don’t understand what you’re trying to sa—oh crap!!

Is that me?

Shock filled me as a mirror materialized in front of me.

I looked… different…..Good different.

My breath caught as my fingers slowly rose to brush against my face.

Gone were the angry sores, the swollen bruises, and the cracked, lifeless skin.

In their place was smooth, pale cream-colored skin—soft and flawless, almost glowing under the rising sun like freshly poured milk touched by gold.

It looked delicate, impossibly clear, with a healthy radiance that made me stare in disbelief.

My features had sharpened beautifully.

Large, luminous eyes framed by long lashes stared back at me, bright and alive, while my lips—once dry and torn—were now full, soft, and naturally pink.

Even my hair looked transformed, falling in thick, silky waves around my shoulders like a dark waterfall, making the fairness of my skin stand out even more.

Beautiful….No…Stunning, it was the kind of beauty that could make someone pause mid-sentence.

The kind that made it dangerously easy to understand how this villainess had become so arrogant in the first place.

I tilted my head left, then right and shamelessly smiled at my own reflection.

Now I understand why I was being stared at.

Oh hoo.

Okay, maybe transmigrating into a death trap wasn’t entirely bad.

A scent stopped me from my continuous admiration of my face and I turned my head only to stop dead in my tracks at the sight of a small cluster of bushes that shone brightly under the sun.

Red…red peppers?

To be sure, I stepped forward and touched the leaf of one of the plants and instantly a notification popped up within my mind.

**Red peppers, used to spice up any meal.

Also helps to fight against the cold and warms the body up from the inside out.

It is not a hemostatic plant but it works alongside them** Eei that’s even better than I thought.

I began to harvest them carefully and decided to carry as much as I could.

I’ll just dry them up and grind them with stone to store when I get back.

Nodding at my plan, I swiftly harvested the entire bush but left some hanging to continue growing for me.

Then I rose up to leave but stopped when I saw something behind the bushes.

A lot of things to be exact.

I rushed past the peppers and quickly laid my hand on each of them.

**Ginger, Potatoes, onions, sour fruit, grapes, cabbage.

Each of them not poisonous and safe for congestion** Of course they are!

I worked for half the day before I successfully pulled up every single one of them that I could find, leaving the roots and trees of the others so they could continue growing before I fell to my behind to rest.

How are you going to pack this back to the tribe?

Uh good question.

I glanced around, hoping something else would also appear out of nowhere for me but nothing happened and I sighed.

Then my eyes widened as it came face to face with something a bit far away from where I was.

Bamboo System, tell me you have something I can use to cut those up?

I do but you’ll have to exchange it for fifteen favorability points What?

That’s basically a rip off!

I suffered for those points you know?!!

Doesn’t matter, what I’m providing you with will cut those cleanly and as things as you want and very easily.

You can even use it on the meat and you won’t feel a thing So it’s sharp?

Of course it’s sharp and durable.

Urgh fine, give it to me.

Also give me a pot.

Where am I supposed to get a pot from?

The same place you got the knife from?

You—fine, the pot cost five favorability points Two favorability points Four favorability points!

One point or no deal!!

Fine!!

I’ll remember this.

I’m sure you will.

The items materialized in front of me and I smirked, picking up the dagger and surprisingly, it felt so light.

Okay, time to put you to the test.

I walked over to the place where the bamboo stalks were and began to cut down on one of them and it came down immediately.

That…is sharp?

This thing can kill someone!!

Then it should start with you Don’t even think about it.

I cut down two more stalks before I began to cut them into thin pieces and arrange them neatly on the ground.

When I was done, I packed them up and followed my memories down to the clear lake where I had woken up from after my transmigration and dropped them into the water.

Well, that should do for now.

I’ll take it out in about an hour or two but first, let me stop my stomach from growling.

Quickly, I took out the bundle from my back that I had tried it on and set it on the ground with the pot before rushing back to my haul and picking out some potatoes and some other ingredients to add to it then returned to the lakeside.

I dropped those and went in search of firewood which I hauled back to the lake also and then set out to find some stones.

The life of a transmigrated girl is surely hard.

Finding suitable stones was not an easy feat but I found two good ones that would work for me and took them back to my growing pile then I set about arranging them.

Oh yes, I also need dry grass and bless my soul, it was abundant everywhere here.

Lighting the fire was easy this time and soon, I had a fire going and boiling water inside the pot.

I prepared the meat which I had cut into the thinnest of slices with that sharp knife and then when it was soft and creamy enough, I added the potatoes.

They simmered for a while before I drained it of the water and began to add the ingredients.

It wasn’t a five star meal because I didn’t have salt or anything but the peppers and ginger and cabbage and grape juice sure helped.

The aroma must have gone for miles as the food prepared and I found myself smiling as I waited for it.

After this, then I can surely face Elias.

You do know there’s a beast god right?

Yes..why do you…oh fuck!

I could have used that deity as a way out and an explanation for my healing abilities!!

Why didn’t you tell me sooner?

To spite you of course Evil
