The two men scrambled in a panic, haphazardly wrapping themselves in clothes.

“No, it wasn’t seduction! He forced me! I cursed him out and tried to drive him away, but seeing how much you loved him, I endured it!”

“But he pestered me every day, saying that if I didn’t stay with him, he would divorce you. You wouldn’t have been able to take it. I was afraid you’d be heartbroken, so I could only endure the humiliation and agree… Guoguo, Guoguo, your mother left us so early. I raised you all by myself. Can you understand and forgive your father?”Full novel: Pet Livestream: Cutting Melons Online — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Tian Baiping spoke with tears and snot streaming down his face. Every word painted the picture of a loving old father who, for the sake of his daughter’s happiness, had “resentfully” submitted his body to a beast in an act of painful, noble sacrifice.

“Guoguo, don’t look at Dad like that… Zhao Hai, tell Guoguo the truth! Didn’t you use divorce to threaten and force me time and time again?” His tone shifted in the second half, turning from pleading to ferocious.

Zhao Hai, who had initially looked terrified and embarrassed, suddenly calmed down upon hearing this. He said brazenly, “Yeah, Tian Guo, let me tell you—I don’t like you at all. I was just a man under someone else’s roof, forced to bow my head. There was no choice; who told your dad to be my boss?”

“Pretending to like you every day was absolute torture, and it was all your dad’s fault. You got to be happy, so why should I have to live in misery? I had to make someone else suffer too, so I went after your dad. If you want a divorce, then let’s divorce. If I blink an eye, my last name isn’t Zhao.”

【Holy crap, there’s even this twist? The father and daughter are so pitiful, ruined by the same trashy man. He’s caught red-handed and still has the nerve to be this arrogant.】

【Her husband is a scoundrel, but ultimately it’s a problem with the marriage itself. If her father hadn’t used his power to coerce him into marrying her, his mind wouldn’t have become this twisted. Forced melons aren’t sweet!】

【So it’s a story of a rich young lady falling for an employee, the CEO father forcing the subordinate to marry for his daughter’s sake, only for it to backfire? Is this a case of reaping what you sow? Poor guy, he even sacrificed his own body just for revenge.】

【How can you even interpret it that way?? That’s toxic. If he didn’t want to, he could have refused. Was there a knife to his throat? He climbed the social ladder and then acted aggrieved while doing this? Truly wanting to have his cake and eat it too.】

【Wait a second—is this a ‘blackened’ son-in-law who was forced into marriage by his father-in-law, so he turned around and ‘forced’ his father-in-law for revenge? So it was purely for revenge? Then what was with the ‘intense’ activity earlier? They were so into it the sofa almost shook apart—was that ‘cold-faced hate-sex’?】

The father-in-law and son-in-law then proceeded to attack each other verbally.

Tian Guo’s father cursed the husband for exploiting his love for his daughter to force him into a shameful affair—shameless!

Tian Guo’s husband cursed the father for using power to pressure people and threatening him to marry someone he didn’t love—despicable!

Their central argument was the same: It was all because of Sweetie Pie (Tian Guo) that they ended up together and the father was “humiliated” by the husband.

From the moment her father shouted his first sentence, Sweetie Pie hadn’t said a word. One could only tell her hand was shaking from the slight tremors of the livestream interface.

Su Yi listened silently to them trash-talking each other, joining the ever-growing audience. She wanted to snack on some spicy konjac, but felt it would be disrespectful to her client, so she desisted.

Five minutes later, Sweetie Pie finally reacted. She cried out, “Dad, I’m sorry! It’s all my fault! I shouldn’t have fallen in love with him—”

“Wait, Miss Tian Guo, don’t be so quick to apologize,” Su Yi interrupted, asking curiously. “Don’t you find it strange? You heard it with your own ears just now—they were having a very good time. According to their logic, if your father was being forced by your husband, he should have been in pain. So why was he calling him ‘husband’? And your husband was so happy he sounded like he was about to burst into song—”

A furious roar of rage cut off Su Yi’s analysis.

“Who’s speaking?! Show yourself!”

The camera shook violently. The next moment, a large crystal chandelier appeared on the screen; clearly, Sweetie Pie had dropped her phone in fright at her father’s shout.

“A livestream? You’re livestreaming?!” Another incredulous young male voice exploded. A face appeared in the frame for less than a second before shrinking back.

Su Yi greeted them cheerfully: “Hi.”

【What’s going on? It’s supposed to be catching an affair, but I feel like we’re the ones being caught. LOL.】

【Scared the life out of me, I got so nervous. The streamer is so calm; she really is a woman who went viral for a reason.】

【Is the streamer from the Northeast? Always being so bold and open.】

Sweetie Pie finally snapped out of it and scrambled to pick up her phone. Before she could speak, Tian Baiping spoke with a hideously dark expression.

“Turn off the livestream.”

Sweetie Pie was stunned. Her father had never used such a tone or expression with her. She stood frozen, unable to move.

At this point, Zhao Hai covered his head and face with a blanket, leaving only his eyes visible. He lunged to grab the phone, but when he saw the number of people watching, he lost his voice and shrieked: “One hundred and fifty thousand?? So many people are watching!”

His mind went blank, and he froze on the spot.

It was over. His reputation, his future—all gone…

“Turn it off now!” Tian Baiping roared. If she didn’t turn it off, was she waiting for the whole world to know that this father-in-law and son-in-law had been caught in bed by the daughter?!

Zhao Hai didn’t move. He shuddered. Likely, the whole world already knew.

“Tian Guo, let me tell you—just now, your dad and I were just acting to lie to you! This was a contingency plan we agreed on in advance. If you ever found out, we’d say your dad was forced by me. I would take all the blame, leave the company, and go work at a company owned by one of his friends. Whether I divorced you or not, he and I would continue. He said you definitely wouldn’t dare tell anyone about this.”

“We were together for five years before I even met you! I couldn’t take the pressure from my family to get married, but your dad wouldn’t let me, so he came up with this idea—to marry you to me. That way, my family would be satisfied, and he and I could see each other legitimately!”

“What ‘forced by me’? Ptui! He was clearly the one who chased me! I was the one coaxed onto this sinking ship by him!”

Zhao Hai felt a massive surge of hatred. Since they did the deed together, there was no reason he should become a “rat crossing the street” while Tian Baiping got to be a saint who sacrificed his dignity and body for his daughter.

His words poured out like a machine gun, leaving Sweetie Pie’s face deathly pale, sending Tian Baiping into a violent rage, and whipping the livestream audience into a frenzy.

“You animal! How dare you do this to me! I gave you a promotion, I bought you a house and a car—otherwise, how could someone from a ‘pheasant school’ like you ever sit in the position of Finance Manager?!”

Tian Baiping roared and lunged at him. The sound of fists hitting flesh and the two of them insulting each other’s ancestors echoed through the air.

Sweetie Pie turned around with a wooden expression and walked out with staggering steps.

“Streamer, I’m sorry. I want to hang up now.” Her entire body was trembling.

Su Yi frowned. This situation didn’t look good. If she did something drastic—

“Quack! Mom, Mom, don’t cry! We don’t want this dad or husband anymore! Let’s go back to Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma’s house! You still have us! Streamer, hurry up and tell my mom what I said!” The Call Duck, which had been as quiet as a mouse, suddenly regained its spirit and shouted with all its might.

After Su Yi relayed its words, Sweetie Pie suddenly burst into loud, wailing sobs. She hugged her beloved duck tightly, her voice choked with tears.

【My god… my CPU is burnt. A father, in order to openly hook up with his lover, pushed the lover onto his daughter, tricking his innocent daughter who thought she was in a happy marriage into being a cover and a shield?? What kind of father is this?】

【Holy crap, I’m gonna puke. This is too disgusting. Requesting a doxxing! I want to curse these two dogs to death! Let everyone in the country see the foul things they’ve done.】

【We have their names and faces. Waiting for the full info leak. My keyboard is ready.】

【This poor girl, being plotted against by her own father. May these two scumbags be sent flying ten meters by a cement truck the moment they step outside. Even Jesus can’t save them, mark my words.】

【Little Su, Little Su, quickly remind her to go to the hospital for a check-up! Don’t let her catch anything!】

【Exactly. They’re famous now anyway; people have already uploaded the recordings to every platform. They can’t run. The priority is to go to the hospital for a full physical examination.】

As the crying subsided, Su Yi relayed the audience’s well-wishes and gently encouraged her, saying that life is beautiful, not to punish herself for others’ mistakes, and that she still had her elders and the little duck with her.

Sweetie Pie sobbed and said, “Thank you, Streamer. Thank you, everyone. I’m going to the hospital right now. Don’t worry, I won’t do anything foolish.”

The streamer was right. She still had Beibei to raise and her grandparents to take care of. She absolutely couldn’t leave them behind!

Call Duck: “Thank you, Streamer. That’s all for now; I have to comfort my mom. Goodbye.”

Su Yi nodded with relief. What a polite and caring little duck.

The connection ended. Just as she was about to connect to the next person, a phone call came in.

She originally wanted to ignore it, but when she saw the caller ID, Su Yi raised an eyebrow. Wasn’t this her mother, the one who always complained she was timid and couldn’t handle big occasions? Had she finally noticed her daughter had run away from home?

“Su Yi, how dare you not answer my calls! You useless piece of trash! If you needed jewelry, you could have just told me—would I have refused you? Did you really have to steal it? You’re a disgrace!”

Su Yi: “? Whaaaaat?!”
