Ground floor of the guest villa.
Two vampires appeared, bringing a man with them. One vampire took out a tablet and showed the man the surveillance footage of Mo Yu.
"Can you transform?"
"Rest assured, the two of you."
After the man finished watching the video, his body began to change. Soon, a 'Mo Yu' appeared.
The two vampires looked him up and down, then nodded in satisfaction. "Not bad, no flaws visible. Go. You must obtain control of that Mechanical Dog, understand?"
"Rest assured, disguise is my specialty. No machine on the market can see through our disguises."
'Mo Yu' nodded and bowed, then turned and went upstairs, heading to the designated room to find the Mechanical Dog.
The two vampires chatted idly downstairs.
"This Thousand-Faced Monster's shapeshifting ability is truly terrifying. If it hadn't transformed right in front of me, I really wouldn't have been able to tell the difference."
"Too weak. In the end, it's just mud that can't be brought to the table."
"Why doesn't Young Miss just capture that human and torture him directly? Why bother with such a troublesome method?"
"If he really has an ability similar to a Strategist, then he's genuinely worth recruiting."
"What's a Strategist?"

Alpha stood by on standby.
When Mo Yu was away, it would remain in a low-power state.
The room door opened.
'Mo Yu' walked into the room.
Alpha immediately reacted, its camera locking onto 'Mo Yu'. Strings of data began popping up as it started comparing biological signs.
'Mo Yu' walked forward and crouched down.
Alpha emitted an electronic voice: "Identity verification in progress, Station Chief. Please follow the instructions. Blink your eyes."
'Mo Yu' obediently blinked.
"Turn your head left and right."
'Mo Yu' turned his head left and right.
"Please face the camera and nod up and down."
"Please spread your arms and rotate clockwise."
"Please rotate counterclockwise."
"Verification progress 5%……Please do 10 push-ups."
"Verification progress 6%……Please do 10 sit-ups."……
The two vampires grew impatient.
It had been two hours since the Thousand-Faced Monster entered the room, yet there was no response at all. They quietly went upstairs and eavesdropped at the door.
Inside the room, the verification process was still ongoing.
"Verification progress 98%……Please kneel and bark like a dog three times."
The Thousand-Faced Monster knelt down with a wronged expression, letting out reluctant barks. This was the task the vampires had given him, and he didn't dare give up. He had already been tormented for two hours, but at least the verification progress kept climbing.
"Verification progress 99%……Please perform a backflip."
Only 1% left.
The Thousand-Faced Monster saw the light of victory ahead. Gritting his teeth, he persisted, and after falling several times, managed to barely pull off a backflip.
"Verification 99.1%……"
The Thousand-Faced Monster broke down, sitting on the ground with tears welling up. He glanced at the half-open room door and noticed the two vampires peeking in, so he had no choice but to grit his teeth and continue.
Some unknown amount of time passed.
Outside the door, the two vampires received a message.
"Message from Number 1 — that human is coming back to get something. We have to withdraw now."
"Damn it!"
The two vampires knocked on the door, quite reluctantly, sending the retreat signal to the Thousand-Faced Monster.
The Thousand-Faced Monster felt as if a great weight had been lifted, and turned to flee.
Alpha: "Verification 99.97%……Warning! Leaving now will result in verification failure!"
The room door closed.
Alpha crouched down and entered standby mode.
A moment later, the room door opened.
Mo Yu walked in.
After scanning, Alpha said in its mechanical voice: "Identity verification in progress, Station Chief. Please follow the instructions. Blink your eyes."
"Damn idiot!"
Mo Yu kicked Alpha over.
Alpha flailed a few times, then successfully flipped itself back over and said: "Verification successful. Station Chief, someone attempted to pass verification just now."
"Let me see."
Mo Yu crouched down to check the footage — someone who looked exactly like him, jumping around in front of Alpha.
"Alpha, if I hadn't added the secondary verification, would you have misidentified him?"
"……"
"Answer me! Look in my eye! Tell me why? Baby, why? You can identify Elise as a vampire, so how could you fail to identify that thing?"
"Scanning is targeted. There were many species of Monster in the early days, and a large number went extinct during the Infiltration Period. Without biometric information, identification is impossible. Alpha Dog is only equipped with a basic identity recognition system, identifying through voice, facial features, and iris."
"Let's add a third verification step, just to be safe." Mo Yu, thinking of what happened that morning, asked, "Do you have any information on the Spirit Rabbit?"
"Spirit Rabbit, a friendly type of Monster. According to historical records, they created the Peach Blossom Spring, where humans and rabbits coexisted. After the start of the Outer Heaven Era, the Peach Blossom Spring lost contact. No other relevant information available," Alpha answered.
"A friendly type of Monster?"
Mo Yu felt intrigued.
Alpha had never mentioned this before.
Rewind.
Back to the moment he kicked Alpha over — Mo Yu did this every time after chatting with Alpha, to avoid being eavesdropped on.
"Verif……"
"Shut up. Come with me."
Mo Yu cut off Alpha's report, picked up his own backpack, and took Alpha with him as he left the manor, heading to Elise's small villa.
While still a good distance away, he spotted a Police Car parked outside the villa.
The zero-cost purchase incident had come to light.
Mo Yu wasn't worried in the least, and strode confidently into the villa.
The maid was communicating with a Security Guard. After some questioning, with sufficient evidence, neither of them was suspected.
The Security Team left.
The maid glanced at Mo Yu, without any suspicion at all. After all, Mo Yu had been by her side the whole time, with no motive or opportunity to commit the act. She simply dropped a line and turned to leave:
"Sort out your own lunch. The master and madam won't be back at noon."
"Yes~"
Mo Yu went to the kitchen to cook, asking Alpha to keep an eye on the news for him. By the time he finished eating, past 1 o'clock, he still hadn't come across any news about the Kissing Cult being attacked.
If not for the Monster Compendium refreshing, he would have thought the Mirror Image operation had failed.

Elise's probe on Alpha had failed, so she would surely think of other methods.
Alpha entered alert mode.
Mo Yu drifted off to sleep.
He woke up again, hammered awake by Alpha.
A familiar striking force.
Mo Yu sat up abruptly, grabbing Alpha's Dog Head and shaking it. "Give me an explanation."
"Detected two canine creatures infiltrating the villa. The Knight-level Vampire is out. There is danger," Alpha answered.
The Knight-level Vampire referred to the maid.
"Another probe?"
Mo Yu frowned, and pulled out the Titanium Alloy short blade from under his pillow — his last Weapon.
He checked the time: 4:30.
He opened the door and strode out confidently, and right as he turned the corner, he locked eyes with something that looked like a dog.
A Zombie Dog!
This dog's body looked as if it had been pieced together from parts of different dogs — the fur was uneven in color, patches here and there. In some places, bone and dark red flesh showed through. Besides its four limbs, there were dark red tentacle-like appendages on its back as well.
What was even stranger was that the Panel gave no warning at all.
