“Chime…” “Ring…” A pale yellow wind-chime-like creature was flying around the room, emitting a series of pleasant tinkling sounds.

A head with mischievous curly hair poked out from the bulging ‘unidentified object’ on the bed.

“Yaaaawn…” With a long yawn, a dazed teenager broke free from the seal of the blankets, rolled out of bed, and walked into the living room with half-closed eyes.Full novel: Pokémon : Leisurely Daily Life in the Pokémon World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

A simple yet delicious breakfast was already set on the dining table.

A white shadow dashed in front of the boy just as he was about to step down the stairs, rubbing against him affectionately.

“Ab…

Absol…” “Good morning, Absol.” The boy, Ronan, bent down to stroke Absol’s white fur.

He first poured out the specialized food for the Pokémon before heading to the table to thank the pink Pokémon standing beside it.

“Thank you so much, Audino.” “Audi…

no…” The pink Pokémon, Audino, responded with a gentle smile.

‘It’s truly amazing.’ Ronan couldn’t help but marvel internally.

Even after living in this world for sixteen years, he still found the existence of Pokémon to be a wondrous thing.

Indeed, Ronan was not originally a native of this Pokémon world—at least, his soul was not.

In his previous life, the pressure of a mortgage had forced Ronan to push his body to the limit, eventually leading to a sudden death at his computer desk from exhaustion and poor health.

He was then reincarnated into this utopia-like world.

Fortunately, his parents had passed away before him, and as an only child, he had no lingering attachments.

Having spent nearly thirty years as a corporate slave without ever being in a relationship, his previous life was somewhat pitiful.

When he first arrived, Ronan worried that Arceus might use a blast of Judgment to give him a second reincarnation.

He spent his infancy in constant fear of experiencing death again, perhaps even filing a complaint about the previous life’s ‘order.’ Fortunately, whether because the Alpha Pokémon was still slumbering or because the dormant system within him played a role, Ronan had lived peacefully for nearly sixteen years.

Perhaps it was a gift from the system, or perhaps his soul had undergone a mutation, but Ronan had been extremely sensitive to the emotions of living beings since childhood.

As he grew older, this power gradually strengthened.

At the age of ten, he discovered he could vaguely perceive the thoughts of Pokémon, and through continuous practice, he could now translate those thoughts into human language.

This ability was quite similar to that of Valerie, the Gym Leader of Laverre City in the Kalos region.

After finishing breakfast, Ronan took Chimecho to the back hill of his farm to begin his inspection of the medicinal fields and berry orchards.

Ronan’s farm was located in Greenleaf Town on the volcanic Hoenn continent.

The dense Petalburg Woods served as an excellent barrier against drifting volcanic ash, while the lush greenery and a river flowing from the forest helped mitigate the Hoenn heat.

The diverted river water provided ideal conditions for the farm’s irrigation.

Ronan wasn’t alone; he had a happy family in this life.

His parents were forest rangers who had sacrificed themselves in a battle against poachers.

After graduating from the Pokémon Academy, Ronan chose to become a Breeder, running the family nursery and farm alongside his grandfather while honing his breeding skills and potion-making.

The potions from Ronan’s family held a certain level of prestige within the Hoenn League.

Their most famous product was a growth-enhancing tonic.

When combined with their unique family methods and secret recipes, it could strengthen a Pokémon’s physique and sharpen its energy perception.

In other words, it could slightly improve a Pokémon’s potential, and not just for low-level ones.

“Kwah!” A Murkrow flew out from the berry orchard and called out to Ronan twice.

Murkrow’s abilities include Insomnia, Super Luck, and Prankster, with Prankster being its Hidden Ability.

Ronan’s Murkrow was lucky enough to possess the Prankster ability; once it evolved into Honchkrow, its ability would change to Moxie.

Combined with a base Attack stat of 125, it would have a significant advantage in battle.

Most of the other Murkrow on guard duty possessed the Insomnia ability.

Pokémon with Insomnia require less rest than others, making them perfect for sentry and patrol work.

“Thanks for the hard work, Murkrow.” Ronan stroked Murkrow’s feathers while checking its development.

He squeezed the muscles on its wings—firm and powerful, clearly optimized for flight.

Its feathers were also glossy, marking it as an excellent Pokémon.

MURKROW Level: 32 Potential: Cyan Gender: Male Ability: Prankster Moves: Peck, Wing Attack, Taunt, Screech, Dark Pulse, Brave Bird, Gust, Tailwind, Night Slash, Swagger, Snatch, Nasty Plot TM Moves: Protect, Substitute, Icy Wind “As expected of a Pokémon I raised.” Ronan couldn’t help but feel a bit self-satisfied.

“Where are your parents?” The Murkrow let out two cries and gestured for him to follow.

Passing through the common Oran Berry trees on the outskirts and heading deeper, several Honchkrow, the evolved form of Murkrow, could be seen resting in nests within the trees.

Atop the tallest tree perched the two most robust Honchkrow; they were the parents of Ronan’s Murkrow, with the male being the leader of the Murkrow in this woods.

They were among the few Pokémon that had survived his parents’ passing.

Having suffered less severe injuries, they continued to stay with Ronan after receiving treatment.

This Honchkrow’s strength was at the mid-stage of the Gym level and was nearing the late-stage.

It helped Ronan manage the Murkrow on the farm and was also responsible for patrol duties.

This section of the berry orchard was the Murkrow’s territory and one of the farm’s economic mainstays.

After all, raising Pokémon was an expensive endeavor, and Ronan’s nursery also sold Murkrow eggs.

Consequently, the strength and potential of this Murkrow flock were quite high, as they were carefully bred.

Ronan checked on the lead Honchkrow and the growth of the berries.

He plucked a detoxification Pecha Berry from a tree and continued toward the medicinal fields.
