Ronan carefully inspected the Revival Herb that had sprouted its fourth tender leaf and the five-leafed variety that had already gone to seed.

He instructed Tangrowth to protect them and sprinkled special medicinal powder onto the soil where they grew.

Once he finished, Ronan prepared to retrieve the stone and hand it over to Venusaur.Full novel: Pokémon : Leisurely Daily Life in the Pokémon World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He wanted the Pokémon to use its vine whips to place the stone into a natural hollow within a rock in the spring.

Though this stone obtained from the system sign-in was mysterious, Ronan didn’t initially sense anything extraordinary about it.

It looked like a piece of teal jade—translucent, warm, and smooth.

Unlike other stones, it wasn’t cold to the touch; in fact, it possessed a faint warmth.

‘A certain Champion who shared a passion for rare stones would likely find it quite appealing,’ Ronan mused.

However, the moment Ronan retrieved the stone from his system storage, he felt a faint energy begin to converge from the surrounding environment.

Had he not possessed a special ability that made him exceptionally sensitive to energy, he wouldn’t have noticed anything different about the stone.

When he asked Venusaur and Tangrowth if they could feel it, they both shook their heads, indicating they sensed nothing.

It was understandable for Venusaur, as it was only at the pseudo-Elite level.

While powerful, its strength was still limited.

However, Tangrowth was an Elite-level Pokémon, yet even it couldn’t sense anything unusual.

This left Ronan quite astonished.

Furthermore, this Tangrowth had been raised with special methods, making its energy perception much sharper than that of an average Elite-level Pokémon.

Yet, it could only report a subtle flow of energy without being able to pinpoint the exact source.

Ronan gripped the stone and closed his eyes.

Under his perception, countless tiny energy particles floated through the air, constantly seeping out from the surrounding woods and grass.

“Huh…!” Within his perception, two massive sources of particle emission were right next to him—the spots where Venusaur and Tangrowth stood.

The two of them were like colossal light sources in the dark, radiating countless glimmers.

‘This must be the life force overflowing from their bodies,’ Ronan realized.

Soon after, immense amounts of life energy escaping from plants and Pokémon began to gather from all directions.

To Ronan’s ‘vision,’ these specks of life energy looked like a veil woven from the mysterious and beautiful aurora borealis, condensing into ribbons of light to be absorbed by the stone.

While the absorbed particles seemed numerous, they were still insufficient to condense into substantial life force.

Fortunately, the source was the natural overflow from living beings, making it essentially inexhaustible.

Besides, Ronan had several Pokémon colonies on his land.

Setting aside the Murkrow colony further away, just the Lilligant and Roserade colonies on the back mountain could provide him with an abundance of energy.

Grass-type Pokémon were famous for their vast stamina and incredible recovery—traits directly linked to their life force.

Ronan planned to use the Rebirth Stone—the name he had given the stone that gathered life energy—as the core.

By combining it with numerous Grass-type Pokémon and the vibrant forest environment, he intended to establish an energy-rich Pokémon paradise.

The farm’s back mountain already possessed extraordinary Grass-type energy that nourished the Pokémon’s bodies and subtly improved their potential.

Now, with the Rebirth Stone, some of the absorbed life energy particles would be condensed into gentle life force, while the rest would cluster around the stone to form a faint field of life energy.

Pokémon and herbs living within this field would be nourished by the life energy, allowing them to thrive even more.

It would be even better if a Pokémon could learn to manipulate life energy from this environment, though Ronan admitted the idea was somewhat far-fetched.

However, for a Pokémon like Venusaur, which was neither purely animal nor plant, many of its moves were tied to its botanical parts.

It wasn’t entirely impossible for it to realize something.

For instance, when Venusaur used moves like Solar Beam or Vine Whip, it funneled energy through the massive flower on its back.

That flower was also its means of performing photosynthesis.

Ronan wanted Venusaur to find a way to utilize life energy by developing the flower on its back.

Ideally, it could maintain Synthesis (the Pokémon move) continuously just like a real plant, becoming a ‘perpetual flower.’ For now, however, these were just theories.

The current life energy particles only formed a thin layer, not even enough to condense into basic life energy.

It was a one-way flow for now, so forming a true Life Field was out of the question.

Fortunately, Ronan didn’t mind.

‘As long as there’s enough time, I don’t have to worry about the life energy and the field,’ Ronan reassured himself.

With the ‘supply’ from over a hundred Grass-type Pokémon, his Life Field was a certainty.

After placing the Rebirth Stone on the rock in the spring, Ronan didn’t leave immediately.

He waited for a while until he sensed a trace of life energy beginning to mix into the Grass-type energy permeating the air.

At this rate, it would take about three months to form a life particle force field.

As for creating a proper life field, that would likely take upwards of eight months.

The impact of the life particles gathered by the Rebirth Stone on the environment was not yet obvious—at least, not visibly so.
