Before departing, Ronan left Venusaur there, allowing it to soak in the life energy while guarding the medicinal field.

Next, he released Absol.

Inside the spatial backpack on the Pokémon’s back were the female Combee’s egg and Flabébé’s Poké Ball.Full novel: Pokémon : Leisurely Daily Life in the Pokémon World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Both of these Pokémon possessed green potential, and he had specific plans for them.

On the other side of the hill behind Ronan’s home lay a vast flower garden where several Lilligant lived, making the growth there exceptionally lush.

Ronan had long harbored ideas for this garden, but he hadn’t previously had the right Pokémon to utilize it effectively.

Now, with Flabébé and the female Combee, things were different.

Flabébé’s final evolution, Florges, was known as the Garden Pokémon.

Legend said that if a Florges possessed a garden of her own, she would gain incredible power from it.

Meanwhile, the female Combee’s evolution, Vespiquen, could produce more Combee—though the vast majority would be male.

A Vespiquen would lead her swarm to establish a hive; a powerful enough queen could even lead her colony to build an Amber Castle.

A swarm with an established hive could produce delicious Honey.

In Ronan’s view, Florges and the Combee swarm were a perfect match.

One controlled the growth and development of flowers, while the other utilized the pollen to brew Honey.

A Florges could grow alongside the garden, receiving feedback in the form of power as it thrived.

Simultaneously, flowers nurtured by a Florges would provide superior pollen, resulting in higher quality Honey.

This Honey was not only delicious but also highly nutritious; once production scaled up, it would become another staple product of the Aoba Breeding Center.

Ronan’s vision was grand.

He intended to trade for several Miltank from Mr.

Howard and purchase a few Tauros; with time and effort, he could increase their numbers.

Combined with the Combee in the flower garden, once they grew into a swarm, they could build a hive and start brewing Honey.

This would provide him with a stable supply of Miltank Milk and Honey.

However, if he introduced Tauros, a small number would be fine—Ronan was confident he could handle a few energetic ones—but if the herd grew too large, the back mountain wouldn’t have enough space to withstand their trampling.

But Ronan wasn’t without options.

If necessary, he could have Absol act as a ‘herding dog’ and lead the Tauros on runs around the perimeter of Petalburg Woods.

But it was still too early to dwell on that.

The female Combee hadn’t even hatched yet, much less the arrival of Miltank and Tauros.

Ronan rode Absol to the hillside garden and released Flabébé from her Poké Ball.

This newborn had hatched just the day before Ronan returned to the farm.

Pokémon often bond with the first living being they see upon opening their eyes.

For this reason, trainers usually stay by the egg throughout the process to foster a deep connection with the Pokémon.

Flabébé was only a few days old and had never seen such a vast garden, but her natural instincts made her feel an immediate sense of kinship with the place.

“Flabé!” The newborn Flabébé hadn’t found a flower to her liking yet, and her tiny body looked quite fragile, but she was clearly overjoyed, spreading her small hands and fluttering through the air over the garden.

As she danced, the flowers on the ground swayed gently along with her.

Although Ronan’s Flabébé was still weak, she seemed to possess a powerful racial talent.

After spending only a short time in the garden, she was already beginning to form a connection with it.

Flabébé flew above the blossoms, her clear cries eliciting waves of movement from the flowers.

In the rhythm of the garden’s swaying, her body seemed to undergo a change as faint green light drifted toward her from the vast expanse of flowers.

Ronan watched the scene with surprise.

He had originally only intended to bring Flabébé here to find a flower, as a Flabébé can only truly exert her power once she has found a suitable bloom.

He hadn’t expected her to establish a connection with the garden so quickly, let alone receive benefits from the flowers.

However, Ronan was also slightly concerned.

He wasn’t sure if a newborn only a few days old could handle the energy within the garden.

But he had clearly overthought it.

The green light from the garden was incredibly gentle, and the vibrant flowers funneled that mild energy into her body as they swayed.

As she absorbed the energy, phantom images of flowers appeared around her.

Her aura remained weak, but to Ronan’s perception, it felt distinct from how it had been before.

‘Does she seem more…

noble?’ Ronan observed her.

Within the green light, Flabébé had visibly grown a bit larger, and her aura felt purer.

Flabébé’s Ability was Flower Veil.

The phantoms of fresh flowers surrounding her were the result of that Ability being triggered by the energy transmitted from the garden.

After being enveloped in the garden’s green light for over ten seconds, Flabébé drifted out of that state.

Having been baptized by the light, she was now slightly larger and floated quietly above the flowerbed.

When Ronan checked Flabébé’s data again, he found that while her potential was still green, it now possessed a subtle, hard-to-detect hint of cyan.

Her level had also risen from 2 to 5, though that made little difference for a newborn Pokémon.

Regardless, having obtained energy from the flower field, Flabébé had surely gained significant benefits.

Generally, such Pokémon can only tap into their racial talents after evolving into Florges and cultivating their own garden.

This little one, however, had received the blessing of the flower sea prematurely.

Ronan played with Flabébé in the garden for a while longer before spending the rest of his time helping her search for a flower to call her own.

The garden on the back mountain was vast, covering almost the entire hillside.

A few Beautifly that Ronan had previously defeated and captured fluttered above, making the scene appear peaceful and beautiful.

Ronan had Absol wait to the side while he accompanied Flabébé on her search for the perfect bloom.

Flabébé’s flowers come in five colors: red, yellow, orange, blue, and white.

Furthermore, their abilities are heavily dependent on the power of their flower.

Ronan’s Flabébé inherited her color from her mother.

Since she hadn’t found a flower yet, Ronan hadn’t been certain of her color, but based on his observations, it was likely white.

In the garden, she lingered the longest in front of the various white blossoms.

After a morning of searching, Flabébé finally chose a white flower.

Her tiny body hugged the bloom, and she took flight, riding upon it.

After playing a bit more, Ronan called over several Lilligant.

These Lilligant had been tasked with the responsibility of tending the garden.

Now that Flabébé had arrived, this garden would eventually become her territory.

However, before that could happen, a tiny Flabébé wouldn’t be able to look after such a large expanse on her own.

Until Flabébé was capable of tending the entire garden herself, these Lilligant would assist her in managing it.
