Chen Rong
After Chen Jun returned from Murong Peng’s place, he went to look for his younger sister, Chen Rong.
It had been a long time since he had heard Hao Yi’s name. Then, all at once, he heard it from Murong Peng, and he could not help thinking of the scheme his sister had once come up with, one that had actually made Hao Yi marry a man as his wife and then get driven out by the Hao family.
This younger sister of his had always been so clever. He had to go tell her about Hao Yi’s current situation.
From Murong Peng’s mouth, he learned that the man Hao Yi had married now seemed to be working at Jinming Club. It was clear that Hao Yi was having a miserable time after being driven out, or else he would not have sent that male wife out to work and earn money.
Thinking about it, that male wife did seem rather pitiful for having married Hao Yi, but there were too many pitiful people in the world. He could not possibly spare concern for every one of them.
When he came to the door of a room on the second floor, Chen Jun knocked and called, “Xiaorong, open the door.”
“Big brother, what are you doing?” The door opened from inside, and a snow-white face appeared before Chen Jun, startling him. “Who are you trying to scare in broad daylight?”
Chen Rong yanked the face mask off her face and said with annoyance, “Brother, I’m putting on a face mask. Who’s scaring people?”
“All right, my pretty little sister, I was wrong.” Chen Jun apologized to his sister, and Chen Rong shot him a glare before turning back into the room.
Chen Jun followed Chen Rong inside, then said to her, “Do you know whose name I heard today?”
Chen Rong faced the mirror and massaged her face with her hands, letting the essence from the mask slowly sink in. “Who?”
“That Hao Yi you schemed against. Apparently he’s having a miserable time now.” As he said this, Chen Jun could not help feeling pleased with himself.
When Chen Rong heard that, she did not really care. “I was wondering who it was. So it was that loser. Why bring him up for no reason? Unlucky!”
As she spoke, she got up and went into the bathroom, cupping water with her hands at the sink to wash her face and rinse away the stuff on it.
Chen Jun followed behind her and said, “It was just that idiot Murong Peng showing me a video. He kept insisting the white blur in it was Hao Yi. With his lousy Photoshop skills, he still tried to fool me. How ridiculous.”
“What video?” Chen Rong asked casually.
Chen Jun had Murong Peng send him the video, then opened it for Chen Rong to see.
After Chen Rong watched it, her reaction was exactly the same as Chen Jun’s. Her face was full of disdain. “If this person is Hao Yi, I’ll write my surname backward! What’s wrong with Murong Peng? Why is he suddenly fawning over that loser so much?”
“Who knows what got into him.” Chen Jun shrugged and said, “Still, the man Hao Yi married is working at Jinming Club. Looks like after Hao Yi was driven out of the Hao family, all his bank cards were frozen, so he had to force that male wife out to work and make money.”
When Chen Rong heard that, her face instantly filled with mockery. “Useless loser. He was already driven out of the Hao family, and he’s still putting on airs. He should never have been allowed to marry that man in the first place. He should have been sent away from the Hao family by himself. Then let’s see who he could order around!”
“I say, little sister, you still hate that Hao Yi?” Chen Jun asked with a smile.
“Who told him to want to marry me? Just thinking about it makes me sick. He even had the nerve to bring up to Grandfather Hao the matter of coming to my house to propose. A toad wanting to eat swan meat, dreaming!” Chen Rong said angrily, her pretty face flushed red with rage.
Chen Jun comforted her. “All right, he got what was coming to him too. He was driven out of the Hao family and became a down-and-out dog.”
Hearing Chen Jun say that, Chen Rong’s expression improved a little. She looked up at Chen Jun and said, “You are not allowed to mention that loser again from now on!”
“Fine, I won’t mention him. You keep looking beautiful. I’m going out to find friends and have some fun.” With that, Chen Jun left the room. Chen Rong looked at his back with amusement, then turned back to the mirror and fussed over her face again.
When Chen Rong came out of the room, she was already dressed up beautifully. She came down the stairs and cast an arrogant sidelong glance at the servants who stopped to greet her along the way.
“Hello, Miss.”
“Where is Miss going? I’ll have Old He prepare the car.” The butler hurried after Chen Rong and asked.
“I’m going to look for Zhan He.” Chen Rong’s pretty face was slightly red, and her tone was light and cheerful.
“So Miss is going to the Zhan family to see the Third Miss of the Zhan family. I’ll have Old He bring the car over right away.” Saying that, the butler ran out to arrange everything for Chen Rong.
Though the butler said that, everyone in the house knew that their young lady was not going to the Zhan family to see the Third Miss of the Zhan family, but to look for the Zhan family’s Second Young Master, Zhan Ping. The young lady liked Young Master Zhan Ping, and that was common knowledge throughout the house. It seemed that in the future, the young lady would be marrying this Second Young Master of the Zhan family!
