Luther’s POV

“Forget about my power for now.”

I grabbed a rusted metal pipe from the floor and rested it on my shoulder.Full novel: RE-WRITE — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Let’s focus on taking these things down first.”

James looked at me like I had lost my mind.

“…You do realize you’re the only one here without a power, right?”

I shrugged.

“So?”

“We barely even know how to use ours,” he replied, staring at his Status Window.

I smiled.

“You’ll figure it out as you go.”

“Besides…”

“How hard could it be?”

James sighed.

“I have a feeling those are famous last words.”

Without another word, I charged.

The Goblins screeched as they spotted me.

One lunged forward, raising a crude stone axe.

I sidestepped.

CLANG!

The axe struck the pavement.

I swung the metal pipe with all my strength.

BANG!

The Goblin was sent tumbling across the street.

I muttered.

Three more rushed me at once.

Before they could reach me

BOOM!

The ground shook.

A massive shadow leaped over my head.

James.

His body had doubled in size, muscles bulging beneath his clothes.

With one swing of his fist…

Three Goblins exploded into clouds of black ash.

“…Whoa.”

James stared at his own hands.

“I actually did that?”

He grinned.

“…This is awesome!”

“Don’t get carried away!” I shouted.

“There are hundreds of them!”

James laughed before charging deeper into the horde.

Every punch flattened another Goblin.

His Titan ability was simple…

But terrifyingly effective.

I turned toward Ariel.

“…Huh?”

Unlike James…

She wasn’t fighting head-on.

She stood perfectly still. Follow the newest chapters on g.com.

Her eyes were closed.

A gentle breeze began circling around her.

Feathers of glowing blue light drifted through the air.

Then…

Her eyes snapped open.

The wind answered her call.

Invisible blades swept across the battlefield.

Several Goblins were sliced apart before they even realized they’d been attacked.

“…Wind?”

“No…”

I watched carefully.

“It isn’t just wind.”

The feathers.

The currents.

The precision.

Her power wasn’t about brute strength.

It was about complete control of the battlefield.

“…Her ability is a lot more complicated than I thought.”

Just then…

A scream echoed behind us.

More Goblins were climbing out of the Echo.

Far more than before.

I tightened my grip on the metal pipe.

“This was only the beginning.”
