After resting there for a while he decided to go out.

Even after spending some time inside the room, he still felt a strange sense of unfamiliarity with his own body.

Every breath he took felt deeper, cleaner, as if the air itself had become richer.Full novel: Reality Reset: The Sandbox Sovereign — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He had gradually get used to this.

Rex opened the door and stepped out.

He saw that Saffa was standing outside like a guard protecting his master.

His expression was calm and vigilant.

He had not moved an inch from his post.

The moment he noticed Rex, he immediately lowered his gaze respectfully.

He looked at Saffa and said, “Why didn’t you go with others?” Saffa didn’t answer, instead he bowed deeply, “Congratulations to master for reaching the human limit.” Rex looked at him and understood that Saffa was aware of his changes that happened while he was inside the room.

It was not surprising.

After all, Saffa was no ordinary subordinate.

Even though his current strength was heavily suppressed, his perception and experience were still far beyond what an ordinary human could imagine.

It was only natural for him to notice the drastic changes in Rex’s aura.

He nodded at him and went down the stairs.

Saffa followed him.

The two descended to the ground floor.

Soon, the two arrived at the backyard.

A gentle breeze passed by, causing the leaves of nearby trees to sway softly.

Rex stopped in the middle of the yard.

Saffa stood a few steps behind him, he called out, “Alice, bring out the Heaven Devouring Hound.” With that a cute looking full black little puppy appeared in front of him.

The puppy was no larger than a common household dog.

It’s fur was smooth and pitch-black, absorbing the sunlight rather than reflecting it.

Its eyes were deep golden, intelligent and mysterious.

It looked so harmless and adorable that anyone who saw it would instinctively want to pick it up.

The puppy tilted its head and barked softly.

“Woof!” Rex stared at the hound for a moment.

He expected a fearsome beast but he got a puppy instead.

Saffa was not surprised by the sudden appearance of the hound.

By now, he had already accepted that his master possessed unimaginable methods.

What surprised him most was the aura radiated by the dog which seems to be able to destroy him with just a glance.

The hound emitted a presence that made his soul tremble.

Even as a puppy, this hound has such an aura, he could only imagine to what extent it can go in the future.

It was not merely strength.

It was an aura of absolute supremacy.

An existence before which countless worlds would bow.

Saffa swallowed hard.

He had fought countless battles.

Yet in front of this tiny black puppy, he felt the instinctive fear of prey standing before a natural enemy.

Rex, on the other hand, was not affected by the hound’s aura.

He looked at the little puppy with interest.

.

As Alpha’s master, the creature’s pressure had no effect on him.

He crouched down and looked at the little puppy with interest.

Rex reached out and rubbed its head.

It’s fur was unexpectedly soft.

The puppy closed its eyes in satisfaction and leaned into his hand while wagging it’s tail.

Rex chuckled.

“You don’t look very threatening.” The puppy barked proudly.

He thought it would be imposing but it appeared rather cute.

He asked the system, “Alice, can you show me it’s true form?” [YOU CAN ASK THE HOUND ITSELF, HOST.] Hearing this he looked at the hound and said, “Show me your true form.” The puppy barked once and an apparition of it’s true form, it’s true form in mature divine form, appeared behind it.

Standing at over 10,000 feet tall.

The enormous black hound towered above everything.

It’s fur was darker than the void itself.

It’s eyes burned like twin suns.

It’s mouth was lined with fangs that looked like mountain peaks.

Each breath it exhaled seemed capable of creating storms.

It’s mere presence radiated a devouring aura, as if it could swallow the heavens and consume entire worlds.

Rex was not a bit affected by that as he stood calmly and observed the divine beast.

Beside him Saffa felt as if he was looking at death itself.

His body froze.

His breathing became hard and cold sweat soaked his back.

Even breathing felt like a gift at that moment.

He was clear that even if he trained for thousand more years he would not be able to posses 1% of it’s aura.

This was truly a supreme divine being.

Only an existence standing above countless worlds could tame such a creature.

Rex looked at apparition of it’s true form and felt that it looked similar to the hell hound of his previous life.

In his previous life there was a dog nicknamed the hellhound, also known as the gatekeeper of hell, it was almost similar to this one.

The enormous apparition slowly faded and only the small black puppy remained sat on the ground and wagging its tail innocently.

The contrast was so absurd that Rex almost laughed.

One moment, it was a heaven-devouring divine beast.

The next, it looked like an ordinary puppy asking for treats.

He said, “From now on I will call you Alpha.

Do you understand?” Alpha nodded his little dog head and said telepathically, “From now on I will be Alpha.” It raised it’s front paws as if making a vow, “With me here no one will be able to defy master’s wish or disturb him in any manner.” This time Rex was genuinely shocked, “You can talk?” “I am a divine beast, master.

Of course I can talk.” Alpha said while rolling his eyes.

Rex stared at the puppy.

Even though the voice sounded mature and dignified, seeing a tiny puppy rolling its eyes was strangely hilarious.

“Ok Ok I shouldn’t have doubted you.

But remember you can only talk to me and only using telepathy.

Don’t let others know of this.” Rex said with difficulty.

He looked like an idiot when he questioned it earlier.

“Don’t worry master.

I will be careful.” Alpha patted it’s chest proudly.

Rex looked at side and saw Saffa sweating profusely.

He asked, “Saffa, are you alright?

You don’t look good.” Just as Saffa was about to say something he was met with Alpha’s eyes.

.

The puppy’s golden eyes narrowed slightly.

He gulped and said with difficulty, “I am fine master.

It’s probably just the heat.” Hearing that Saffa referred to Rex as master Alpha withdrew it’s pressure away from him.

Saffa was relieved.

Never in his dreams he would have thought that his master would posses such a divine pet.

He had fought countless battles, defeated countless enemies, challenged entire races alone but he never felt as desperate as he felt just from Alpha’s mere presence.

He decided in his heart even if he had to fight the entire universe he won’t hesitate but he would never offend his master’s pet.

Rex looked at Saffa suspiciously.

But couldn’t figure out what was wrong.

But soon his mind began to wander.

He had already brought Alpha but couldn’t think of a way to convince his parents.

Especially his dad, who hated pets.

Rex looked at the little black puppy sitting obediently at his feet.

Anyone who saw this adorable creature would likely fall in love with it immediately, anyone except his father.

Rex still remembered the time he had begged for a puppy when he was younger.

His father had refused without hesitation, “No pets.” That was the end of the discussion.

Rex crossed his arms and frowned, “this is a problem.” Alpha seemed to sense his concerns.

“Master, is something troubling you?” Rex sighed.

“My father doesn’t like pets.

That’s a very serious problem.” Alpha tilted its head.

“Master, with my appearance, who could possibly dislike me?” Rex stared at the puppy for a few seconds and nodded, “That… is actually a good point.” Alpha’s appearance was undeniably adorable, it’s small paws and wagging tail made it impossible to associate it with the terrifying beast he had just witnessed.

Rex crouched down, “Can you act like a normal puppy?” Alpha barked proudly, “Master, I am a normal puppy.” Alpha suddenly rolled onto its back and exposed its belly.

It kicked its paws in the air and let out a soft whine, “Woof…” The transformation was so natural that Rex almost forgot this was a divine beast.

Saffa’s mouth twitched.

If he had not personally witnessed Alpha’s true form, he would have believed this was an ordinary puppy.

Rex rubbed his chin.

“This could work.

But knowing my father’s personality, I can’t guarantee.” Alpha immediately got back on its feet.

“Of course it will work.

Don’t worry, Master.

Once your family sees me, they will love me.” Rex chuckled.

“You seem very confident.” “I know my own charm.” The puppy said proudly.

Rex couldn’t help but laugh, this divine beast had quite the personality.
