Alright, now she knew what they were trying to do.

Yun Manxia didn’t stop them. She stood calmly to the side, watching the show unfold.

“Move out? What happened?” Lin Shen glanced at Bai Hedu. Seeing that Ninth Master didn’t speak, he asked in surprise.Full novel: Rebirth Love: The Obsessed Ninth Master Has Fallen — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Someone doesn’t like me living here.” Wu Xiaoya glanced at Yun Manxia again, her eyes reddening with restrained grievance. “She said I’m just a servant’s daughter, not worthy…”

As soon as she said that, several subordinates immediately looked at Yun Manxia with hostility.

They were familiar with Wu Xiaoya and had a good relationship with her.

And her gaze was too obvious—anyone could tell who the person “unwilling to tolerate” her was!

“Xiaoya is Aunt Wu’s daughter. Whether she deserves to live here is up to Ninth Master!” Ning Fei, one of the subordinates, shot Yun Manxia a cold glance and spoke first.

Yun Manxia remembered him—one of Bai Hedu’s loyal subordinates. Young and impulsive, he liked Wu Xiaoya and was later killed by her.

Under everyone’s displeased gazes, Yun Manxia remained unfazed. She only looked at the man in the wheelchair and asked sweetly, “Husband, I am the mistress of Yujing Garden, right?”

No matter how many times that title was heard, it always stirred something different in the heart.

Bai Hedu looked into the girl’s clear, beautiful eyes. His gaze deepened slightly as he leaned back in his wheelchair and said unhurriedly, “Of course.”

“Then who is she?” Yun Manxia raised her slender finger and pointed at Wu Xiaoya.

No one dared respond, unsure of her intent. Only a nearby honest servant answered, “Madam, Xiaoya is Aunt Wu’s daughter.”

The next moment, the girl’s casual voice sounded—

“Oh, Aunt Wu’s daughter. Then in Yujing Garden, is Aunt Wu’s daughter more noble than me, the mistress?”

Wu Xiaoya’s expression changed slightly.

Just as she was about to speak, Bai Hedu spoke first—

“Who told you she’s more noble than you?”

“Isn’t that the case?” Yun Manxia tilted her head. “If not, then why would she openly occupy my room and throw my belongings into the guest room?”

“As the mistress of Yujing Garden, I have to stay in a guest room, while a servant’s daughter gets to live in the secondary bedroom. Is that the rule here?”

As her words fell, the air went silent.

Ning Fei and the others hadn’t known about this earlier and immediately looked at Wu Xiaoya in shock.

A trace of panic flashed across Wu Xiaoya’s face. “Ninth Master, I didn’t know she was Madam…”

“Then your hearing must be poor,” Yun Manxia interrupted coolly. “The two people beside you were calling me ‘Madam’ so loudly, yet you couldn’t hear it?”

Wu Xiaoya’s expression stiffened.

She bit her lip, then looked at Bai Hedu with a hint of grievance. “Ninth Master, you promised me before—if I did well on the college entrance exam, you’d give me a reward. I want that room…”

It was the closest room to Bai Hedu in the entire Yujing Garden—she wanted to live there!

Yun Manxia’s eyes narrowed instantly.

A reward? Bai Hedu always kept his promises. What if he agreed?

She suddenly looked at him and spoke before he could—

“Husband, you’re not going to just watch a servant’s daughter bully me, are you?”

Her tone was willful but not unpleasant. Her beautiful eyes widened slightly as she waited for his answer.

Wu Xiaoya’s face turned green.

She hated it most when people called her a servant’s daughter!

Bai Hedu met the girl’s slightly nervous gaze and remained silent for a moment.

Yun Manxia grew even more anxious, her eyes widening further.

Then he said, “No.”

Relief flooded her instantly, and joy rippled through her bright eyes.

Wu Xiaoya cried out, “Ninth Master?!”

“I did say I would give you a reward, but that doesn’t mean I will agree to unreasonable requests,” Bai Hedu said calmly. “Such as making the mistress of Yujing Garden give up her room to you and move to a guest room herself.”

The surroundings fell into dead silence.

Wu Xiaoya’s face alternated between red and pale, filled with shock. She clearly hadn’t expected Bai Hedu to refuse her.

Seeing her expression, Yun Manxia almost laughed out loud. Noticing Bai Hedu suddenly looking at her, she quickly held it back and blinked at him innocently.

Not noticing the slight darkening of his gaze, she turned and smiled at Wu Xiaoya. “By the way, where are you moving to? Do you have a place to stay? Do you want me to help you find a house?”

Wu Xiaoya: “…”

Her face flushed red and pale in turns.

Under everyone’s gazes, she forced herself to say, “I’m not moving anymore…”

She couldn’t care about what others thought of her now, or how embarrassing it was!

If she really moved out, wouldn’t she lose everything?

Yujing Garden wasn’t a place just anyone could live in. Back then, she only got in because her mother pleaded for a long time. If she left now, how would she ever come back?!

“Oh, then go restore my room to how it was. Bring back everything you threw out, and take all your things away. That’s not difficult, right?” Yun Manxia ordered in a matter-of-fact tone.

Wu Xiaoya’s eyes turned red with anger.

She felt like this woman was treating her like a servant!

But in front of Ninth Master, she didn’t dare say anything and could only reply humiliatedly, “…I understand.”

She turned to go upstairs, but Yun Manxia suddenly glanced at the suitcase in her hand and said helpfully, “That suitcase looks heavy. It must be hard to carry by yourself, right?”

Without waiting for a response, she instructed a servant beside her, “Help her.”

The servant stepped forward.

Wu Xiaoya tried to stop them, but it was too late.

The honest servant picked up the suitcase and blurted out in confusion—

“Huh? Why is it empty?”

Everyone: “…”

Yun Manxia raised an eyebrow in feigned surprise. “Weren’t you just moving out? Why bring an empty suitcase?”

Feeling the subtle gazes directed at her, Wu Xiaoya burned with shame and anger, hating Yun Manxia to the core!

“…I’m going to tidy up the room!”

She snatched the suitcase and fled in embarrassment.

As Yun Manxia turned back, she met Bai Hedu’s meaningful gaze.

She felt a little guilty—he must have seen that she did it on purpose.

But then again, she wasn’t wrong. Wu Xiaoya provoked her first—wasn’t she allowed to retaliate?

Her confidence returned immediately. “Husband, what’s wrong?”

In Bai Hedu’s deep, cold eyes, a faint, almost imperceptible trace of amusement flickered.

“Nothing,” he said, then paused. “Who touched your room?”

Was he going to stand up for her?

Yun Manxia’s eyes lit up. She glanced around, spotted two figures, and immediately pointed without hesitation—

“Them!”

The two servants who had been flattering Wu Xiaoya instantly turned pale.
