From his past life, thousands of years before Kata was even born, the humans had what they called the “God particle.” This was just a nickname for the Higgs boson, a subatomic particle they managed to discover.
It proved the existence of the Higgs field, an invisible energy grid spanning the entire universe.
The God Spark that Kata spent so long and so many resources trying to discover was not the same as the God particle discovered so long ago before his birth.
The God Spark that Kata managed to find after so long and the deaths of countless beings was similar to the graviton.
The graviton was a theoretical particle that humans thought of so long ago.
This particle was massless, and it was the ultimate missing puzzle piece that could have explained the origin of the universe.
It was thought to carry the force of gravity, just as photons carried light.
The existence of the graviton would have erased the impossible infinity of singularity at Time Zero, replacing it with a quantum reality that humans could fit into their calculations, uniting the fundamental forces into the Theory of Everything.
The possibility of the existence of the graviton was a comfort to many atheists who did not dare believe that something more than the universe could possibly exist.
For countless centuries, many geniuses searched, and all this brought nothing but failure, which was compounded by hope.
The search seemed endless, and many people gave up on the possibility of the graviton existing.
This was until the First Sage, the greatest genius to have ever been birthed by humanity, was born.
She came up with a new theory to possibly bridge the gap.
She was born in the Soul Empire under Kata’s reign, and when he needed to find the power of the gods for himself, he of course went to her.
She did not like him at all and opposed him at each turn, calling him a tyrant.
Kata did not mind this.
He found her weakness and forced her into his service.
She came up with the theory that for the universe to have been born, there had to have been a God Spark.
According to her theory, the God Spark was similar to the graviton but far more powerful and more impossible compared to what the humans of old had ever dared imagine.
Her weakness left her no choice but to help a tyrant reach out for the God Spark.
Once the God Spark was discovered, Kata ordered the First Sage to lead all his scientists to find a way for him to harvest the power of the God Spark.
As far as Kata remembered, he did not manage to find a way to harness this power.
Still, there was a chunk of his memories that was missing.
He did not even know how he had died and ended up in this strange new world.
Kata now looked at the God Spark, sitting in what he assumed to be his soul.
From what his instincts were telling him, this place which was filled with darkness beyond compare was his soul.
He was also sure that the tiny ember of light before him was the God Spark.
“Bwahahahahaha!
Bwahahahahah!”
Kata did not know what was going on, but he was still more than happy now that he knew that he had the God Spark.
He was not sure about the powers of this world, but he could not imagine them having anything as heaven-defying as the God Spark.
The spark was in his soul, and from the light it was giving off, he knew that it was his and no one could ever take it away.
It had merged with his soul.
In short, Kata had somehow managed to become one with the God Spark, the most powerful thing he could ever imagine.
Kata returned to the real world with a single thought.
Kata looked at his hands, and he no longer had any questions as to how he had managed to take in the radiation.
It was not because he was one of the Wena.
It was because he had the God Spark.
“I do not know how greatly the God Spark has changed me, but I at least know of one ability it has granted me.
The First Sage once theorized that if one were to merge with the God Spark, they could gain the ability to absorb and control all forms of energy.
It is therefore not surprising that I can now take in radiation to empower myself.
With the God Spark, I am truly primed to rule this world.”
Kata rushed back to the camp with a few roots in hand.
After having taken in the radiation, Kata had become far more powerful and faster than any other Wena.
He reached the camp after just a few minutes.
His mother had been anxiously looking for him ever since he went missing.
Kata was not the sentimental type, but he was moved after seeing Kara’s concern.
In his past life, he had never had a love like this.
She hugged him deeply before she began scolding him for his foolishness.
The two went back to their tent where Kata cooked the roots, and the two ate while talking about idle things such as the weather.
They never spoke about Kaza, the father Kata had killed so ruthlessly.
The following morning, the slave master came to the camp early and led all the Wena to the mine.
It was the same routine as usual, and yet for Kata, everything had changed.
He was already plotting how he would be killing all the slave masters and escaping from this place to begin his path to greater power.
