Inside the classroom.

Lu You’s mind was nowhere near the lesson.

Every so often, she glanced outside.Full novel: Reborn as a Cannon Fodder, How Did I End Up in the Apocalypse’s Villain Family? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Part of her worried that the incident might become too serious and affect Dad.

The other part eagerly anticipated seeing the Cen siblings suffer.

Just imagining Cen Wu having to pay an enormous amount of points—or even being expelled from the academy—filled her with an indescribable sense of satisfaction.

The sound of footsteps approached.

Lu You immediately looked toward the door, the corners of her lips curling into an eager smile as she prepared to watch the spectacle unfold.

“Older Brother, our desks and chairs are unusable now. Since that boy isn’t here anyway, let’s use his.”

“Alright. I’ll move them.”

Cen Yuxing walked over to Lu You without sparing her a glance.

Treating her as if she didn’t exist, he simply picked up the desk and chair beside her.

All the other desks and chairs in the classroom were arranged in pairs.

Only Lu You was suddenly left sitting all by herself.

The smile on her face froze.

“Y-You’re… alright?”

Cen Wu could not even be bothered to provoke her.

She simply wore an expression that said, Did someone just speak?, then followed Older Brother to the back row and sat down.

She casually threw the barbecue-grill desk and glue-covered chair out the classroom door.

They crashed loudly onto the ground outside.

The remaining students exchanged puzzled and conflicted looks.

Quite a few of them knew the background of the boy who had gotten himself beaten up because of his loose mouth.

He was the nephew of the Guard Squad captain.

Thanks to his “advanced age” of seventeen, he had ruled this underage class with an iron fist and had become the class bully.

Yet Cen Wu had beaten him badly enough to send him to the hospital.

She had even been personally taken away by the principal.

And somehow…

She had returned completely unharmed.

There were strange things every year.

This year simply had more than usual.

As soon as class ended, before the teacher had even stepped down from the podium, a crowd of students surrounded the Cen siblings.

“Hey, did you have to pay a huge amount of points before the principal agreed to let you stay?”

“Do you actually have some powerful backing? We’ve never heard anything about it.”

“Don’t be stupid. If they had connections, we’d have known on the first day. None of the Base executives have children this young.”

Cen Wu became sleepy just listening to them.

She demonstrated the impressive skill of falling asleep the instant she rested her head on the desk.

Seeing this, Cen Yuxing placed a finger over his lips in a quiet gesture.

“Shh.”

His amber eyes gradually darkened into deep, mesmerizing pools.

One glance was enough to make people lose themselves.

For reasons none of them understood, the students instinctively lowered their voices.

Yet driven by curiosity, none of them wanted to leave.

“Make way! Give Lu You some room!”

A voice that sounded like someone chewing spicy snack sticks rang through the classroom.

The one clearing the path was Lu You’s deskmate in front.

He eagerly shoved everyone blocking the way aside before leaning against Cen Yuxing’s desk with an arrogant expression.

“Lu You wants to talk to you. I’d advise you not to refuse when she’s giving you face.”

“Older Brother Zhao Zhao, don’t scare Student Cen.”

Lu You gently tugged on Zhao Zhao’s sleeve.

The simple gesture instantly made him beam with delight.

“She’s so kindhearted.”

Zhao Zhao cupped his face dreamily.

Cen Wu finally reached her limit.

She had just started to stand up, intending to smack someone with a textbook—

When a loud shout came from the back door.

“Who bullied you, Cen Wu?!”

Chu Yueyue swaggered in with an exaggerated, cocky stride and made his way toward the back row.

“Tsk, tsk, tsk. How pitiful. You were actually chased all the way to these godforsaken seats.”

Cen Wu looked at the boy who insisted on challenging her every single day and felt another headache coming on.

She only wanted to live a peaceful life.

Yet Heaven kept sending these goofballs into her life.

Hearing the sarcasm in Chu Yueyue’s tone, Zhao Zhao thought he had found a like-minded ally.

He immediately chimed in.

“You think she’s annoying too, right? Someone like her doesn’t deserve to stay at our academy. If you ask me, we should just throw their desks outside.”

Chu Yueyue glanced sideways at him.

“Was I talking to you?”

Zhao Zhao choked on his words.

“Hmph. Why are you acting so tough just because you’re from the class next door? Do you even know who this is?”

He pointed proudly at the innocent-looking Lu You.

“She’s the daughter of the Deputy Base Chief of Base No. 9.”

“Oh.”

Chu Yueyue looked completely indifferent.

“And?”

Zhao Zhao stared at him as though he were an idiot.

“Cen Wu bullied Lu You! If people from Base No. 9 get angry, what if they drag all of us into it? Before Lu You’s dad loses his temper, we should show our attitude and drive Cen Wu and Cen Yuxing out of the academy!”

His words were immediately met with a chorus of agreement.

“Exactly! Maybe if Lu You’s dad is happy, he’ll give us a few more Regeneration Factors.”

“I think Cen Wu is just jealous. After all, Lu You is much cuter.”

“The principal and Xiao Qiang’s parents definitely won’t let her off. If we throw her out of the classroom now, it’ll count as making up for the academy’s mistake.”

The more Chu Yueyue listened, the darker his expression became.

He looked at the drowsy Cen Wu and the calm, composed Cen Yuxing.

Confused, he asked,

“They’re treating you like this. Aren’t you angry?”

Cen Wu lazily lifted her eyelids.

“I don’t waste my time arguing with idiots.”

The corners of Cen Yuxing’s lips lifted into a smile.

“I don’t compete with fools over who’s right or wrong.”

So cool.

Chu Yueyue had always thought Cen Wu refused to spar with him because she was too cowardly.

He had never expected her to have this much backbone.

There were over thirty students in the class.

Every one of them was an Ability User.

Yet the siblings openly insulted the entire class without hesitation.

Chu Yueyue honestly admitted to himself…

He definitely wouldn’t have dared.

“How about… you transfer to my class instead?”

The atmosphere in his class was much better.

Nobody formed little cliques or bullied others.

Mainly because everyone ignored everyone else.

No one thought much of anyone.

Cen Wu’s eyes immediately lit up.

“Can we?”

Getting away from Lu You meant getting closer to happiness.

Chu Yueyue chuckled twice.

It was rare for Cen Wu to agree with him.

He eagerly volunteered,

“Then I’ll help you move your desks.”

Seeing that, Lu You immediately tugged at Zhao Zhao’s sleeve.

He instantly understood.

“Want to transfer classes? Has the principal even approved it?”

Cen Yuxing looked toward the principal, who was standing at the front door with a flattering smile plastered across his face.

Raising his voice, he asked,

“Principal, Younger Sister and I want to transfer to the class next door. Do you agree?”

Everyone turned around at once.

Every face wore an expression of gloating anticipation.

Everyone knew the principal disliked Cen Wu.

There was no way he would let her transfer.

Maybe…

He had come to expel her.

Just look at that creepy smile on his face.

“Ahem—”

The principal cleared his throat.

“If you want to transfer to the class next door, just submit a request to Teacher Jun.”

The entire class was dumbfounded.

Did…

Did that mean he agreed?

Had the principal been possessed by a ghost?

“Principal! Did Cen Yuxing use Mind Control on you? If you’re being controlled, blink twice!”

The principal’s face darkened.

He shot the speaker a fierce glare.

“What nonsense are you talking about?”

Zhao Zhao clicked his tongue softly before loudly saying,

“Principal, then Lu You and I want to transfer too.”

“What, just because someone else is taking a dump, now your own butt is itching?”

The principal rolled his eyes impatiently.

Did they really think he didn’t know how they had treated the two precious little treasures of the Cen family these past few days?

If he didn’t step in soon, the Base Chief would probably freeze him into an ice sculpture.

“Principal, can’t I transfer too?”

Lu You asked with an adorable smile.
