She hurried over to the shopping mall next door.
The entire first floor of this shopping mall was filled with stationery. She had heard that this was a stationery store with a history of more than one hundred years, and it carried all kinds of stationery and office supplies, whether for students or office workers.
Everything looked quite beautiful too.
Collect it all!
The upper floors were filled with cosmetics, skincare products, luggage, glasses, and other items. Most of these were nonrenewable resources, so she absolutely had to take them.
Glasses for nearsighted people were especially important. Tong Qingyan only had two hundred degrees of nearsightedness, and she usually did not wear glasses in her daily life. However, without glasses, she genuinely could not see things clearly in the distance, so she decided to prepare a few pairs anyway.
If her eyesight worsened in the future, or if she developed presbyopia, she could still use them.
Apart from some novelty goods that she truly had no use for, Tong Qingyan basically emptied the entire shopping mall.
She even took the small forklifts used to transport goods around the warehouse.
There were truly quite a lot of snack shops around here, and many of the snacks were things she had never seen before.
She casually opened a few packages and tried them. They tasted pretty good.
The food inside basically looked exactly like the pictures printed on the packaging, even down to the size. They really did provide exactly what they advertised!
After collecting the supplies from several nearby commercial streets, her space was not only still far from being full, but had also expanded considerably because she had collected more jade. The available time inside the space had increased by another twenty three minutes, and even the flow of spiritual spring water seemed to have become slightly faster.
This made Tong Qingyan even more motivated.
She had just collected an entire shelf of small umbrellas into her space when she suddenly heard hurried footsteps behind her.
It seemed that the security guard at this shopping mall was very diligent.
After discovering that something was wrong with the security cameras, he had immediately come to investigate.
She quickly hid behind a door, and a broad shouldered, thick backed man wearing a security uniform ran inside.
He babbled a string of words in a foreign language. From his tone, Tong Qingyan could tell that he was extremely nervous and surprised, but she had no idea what exactly he was saying.
Of course, she did not need to know.
While the security guard was still looking around, Tong Qingyan quickly moved behind him and struck the back of his neck with the baseball bat.
The security guard immediately lost consciousness and collapsed onto the floor with a thud.
This was not a place where she could stay for long. Killing this Japanese man right now would be letting him off far too easily.
The end times were about to arrive. She had to keep him alive and let him properly experience life during the end times.
Tong Qingyan took out a rope and tied up the security guard. She also stuffed a filthy rag into his mouth before quickly leaving the shopping mall.
Before she knew it, it was already one in the morning. She had collected almost everything worth taking from the commercial district, so she rode her motorcycle toward the port.
She had just collected this motorcycle from an outdoor equipment store. It was black and looked incredibly cool.
She took out her phone, opened the navigation, and headed toward the port.
The sea breeze in the early morning carried a salty chill. The cool wind blew over Tong Qingyan’s body, washing away the sweat she had worked up from nervousness and making her feel refreshed all over.
She rode the motorcycle at full speed along the deserted coastal highway.
The roar of the engine broke through the silence, while the bright headlights carved a path of light through the darkness.
Before she even got close to the port, she could see a cruise ship shining brightly like daylight.
Tong Qingyan quickly stopped the motorcycle and turned off the engine before quietly approaching the port.
Under the lights, a group of workers wearing work clothes were working through the night, using large cranes to load containers onto a cargo ship.
A man in a suit held a radio in his hand and urged them anxiously, “Hurry up. This shipment of medical supplies must be transported away before dawn.”
He was speaking English. Tong Qingyan had passed both of her English proficiency examinations, so she could understand him.
The man’s words made Tong Qingyan extremely happy.
She had read plenty of apocalypse novels. Once a disaster like this began, it would definitely not stop in a short period of time.
Before she died in her previous life, it had already been raining for more than two months. She did not know whether other disasters would follow afterward, so there was absolutely no harm in stocking up on more medical supplies.
There were so many containers filled with medical supplies. Even if she could not use them all herself during the end times, she could trade them with other people for supplies.
These would definitely be valuable commodities during the end times. She absolutely could not miss this opportunity.
While everyone was busy, she quietly slipped into the workers’ rest room. Quite a few work uniforms were hanging casually on the walls, which should have belonged to the workers from the daytime shift.
Tong Qingyan took one that was roughly her size and put it on. She also replaced the face covering on her face with a mask, then boldly walked out carrying an inventory ledger and joined the workers.
She pretended to use the inventory ledger to check the supplies inside the containers, while actually thinking about how she could secretly collect the medical supplies into her space without anyone noticing.
There were dozens of workers here. With everyone watching, she obviously could not perform a magical trick and make an entire container disappear.
So what should she do?
Ah, she had an idea. Could she leave the containers outside and only collect the supplies inside?
There was only one way to find out.
She placed her hand on the container and kept repeating silently in her mind, “Only collect the supplies, not the container. Only collect the supplies, not the container.”
After repeating it several times, the container remained exactly where it was.
She was a little confused and did not know whether the medical supplies inside had actually been collected into the space.
She quickly checked with her consciousness.
Good heavens!
There was now an entire row of protective suits inside her space, stacked incredibly high. She had no idea exactly how many there were, but there had to be tens of thousands.
It had actually worked!
Wonderful!
Since it worked, she would not hold back anymore.
Tong Qingyan moved between the various containers like a hardworking little bee.
The workers all assumed she was a new employee. Seeing how hardworking she was, they even praised her for being capable.
Before long, she had collected the entire shipment of medical supplies into her space. She did not even spare the supplies that had already been loaded onto the ship.
Not only that, she also discovered many new vehicles on the ship. There were sports cars, sedans, and off road vehicles, with approximately two to three thousand vehicles in total. They occupied most of the cargo ship’s available space.
It seemed that this cargo ship was mainly used to transport cars for export.
With so many cars, even if she changed to a different one every day, she could drive them for ten or twenty years!
Tong Qingyan did not hold back at all and collected every vehicle into her space. Whether she collected one car or a whole group of cars, they only occupied the space of one vehicle anyway.
After collecting all of these, she returned to the port. There were still countless containers waiting for her at the freight terminal!
Clothing, mobile phones, earphones, agricultural products, flowers, pet supplies, disaster prevention equipment, traditional Chinese medicine, health equipment, and other goods imported from China.
Gold imported from the oil rich country, rice imported from the island nation, frozen beef and mutton imported from Outer Mongolia, wool products from Britain, chocolate and diamonds from Belgium, sausages and photography equipment from Germany, silk and leather goods from Italy, fruits from Australia, and all kinds of dairy products from New Zealand.
Basically, almost everything people could possibly use in daily life could be found at this port.
