Bai Yang drove according to the memories from her previous life and arrived at a chain supermarket.

Along the way, Bai Yang encountered many people frantically trying to escape the zombies. Of course, there were also some who were bold enough to have already started looting supplies.

After getting out of the car, Bai Yang was no longer carrying the baseball bat she had brought from home. Instead, she took out the long knife she had previously bought from the blacksmith shop using her spatial ability.Full novel: Reborn Before the Apocalypse: I Was Shocked to Discover I Know My Child’s Father — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The employees of the chain supermarket had all gone home after work last night, and with the apocalypse arriving this morning, there was no one inside the supermarket at all. This made things much easier for Bai Yang.

She used the long knife to chop through the lock on the supermarket’s door. After quickly destroying the surveillance cameras, she first collected everything inside the supermarket into her spatial ability, then began searching every corner for somewhere that might be hiding the weapons.

Bai Yang searched all around the supermarket, including the warehouse, but still could not find anywhere that could possibly conceal such a large quantity of weapons.

Bai Yang found this strange. It was definitely this supermarket, and there was no way she could have remembered incorrectly. She thought back to the direction from which the people who had secretly transported the weapons had emerged in her previous life, and immediately ran over to investigate.

Following her memories of where those people had come from in her previous life, Bai Yang arrived at the supermarket’s restrooms.

Bai Yang stared at the restrooms in a daze. She had searched all around the supermarket and had indeed overlooked the restrooms. After all, the amount of weaponry she had seen in her previous life was enough to fill three large cargo trucks. The restroom certainly did not look like a place capable of holding three truckloads of firearms.

Bai Yang looked between the men’s and women’s restrooms and decided to search the men’s restroom first.

After entering the men’s restroom, Bai Yang carefully searched every inch of it, but found no hidden passage or place where anything could be concealed.

Bai Yang then entered the women’s restroom and carefully tapped along the walls, but still found nothing unusual.

Bai Yang took a deep breath and stepped back several paces, wondering if she had overlooked something. Just then, she turned around and saw the mirror behind her.

Bai Yang froze for a moment. There was nothing strange about having a mirror installed in a restroom, but the mirror in front of her was actually a two way mirror.

Without the slightest hesitation, Bai Yang raised her long knife and brought it down. The enormous mirror shattered onto the floor with a loud crash, revealing the weapons hidden behind it.

When Bai Yang stepped inside and saw the dazzling array of firearms, she could not help but curse inwardly.

Three cargo trucks? That was nothing compared to this small arsenal.

Seeing so many firearms, Bai Yang was stunned for a moment. Then she inwardly mocked herself for being so ignorant, before taking every single weapon without hesitation. She turned around and left without a trace, as though she had never been there.

After Bai Yang drove away, another car stopped near the supermarket. Two or three men got out and, seeing that the supermarket had already been emptied, cursed angrily under their breath before returning to their car and driving away.

Bai Yang drove into the underground parking garage and parked the car. Before getting out, she took two guns from her spatial ability and wrapped them in black cloth, then took the elevator upstairs.

The entire building was much quieter than when Bai Yang had left. It was almost completely silent.

However, Bai Yang did not lower her guard because of this. She remained vigilant until she reached the door of her home.

Bai Yang reached out to open the door, but suddenly felt a chill run down her back. She released the doorknob and sidestepped the attack, only then realizing that the person who had tried to ambush her was not a zombie, but a man.

After seeing the man’s face clearly, Bai Yang could not help but sneer inwardly. The person who had attacked her was the neighbor who lived downstairs.

Before the apocalypse, he had always acted like a cheerful, kindhearted man. Yet on the very first day of the apocalypse, he had already lost his conscience and begun ambushing people to rob them.

When the man saw that his ambush had failed and that Bai Yang had discovered him, he hardened his resolve and swung the kitchen knife in his hand toward her head.

Seeing the knife about to strike her forehead, Bai Yang did not dodge. Instead, she stepped forward, drew her long knife, and blocked the descending kitchen knife. She then raised her leg and kicked the man several meters away.

The sound of the man hitting the floor attracted the zombies. Bai Yang watched coldly as the zombies slowly approached him. While the man wore an expression of terror, she opened the door and returned home.

After entering the house, Bai Yang found the living room in complete disarray, as if a thief had broken in. Her heart sank, and all kinds of terrible thoughts immediately flooded her mind.

“Mom? Dad? Suisui?”

Bai Yang called out once, but when no one answered, her heart sank even further.

Bai Yang was about to call out again when Bai Dad’s somewhat irritated voice came from Bai Suisui’s room.

“We’re not dead yet. Why are you shouting like that?”

“Dad? You’re all okay?”

Hearing Bai Dad’s voice, Bai Yang was startled. Only after seeing that Bai Dad was completely unharmed did she finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Bai Mom and Bai Suisui also came out of the room after hearing the noise.

“You startled me so badly. Are you trying to scare your mother to death?”

Seeing that her entire family was safe and sound, Bai Yang finally relaxed completely. “When I came in and saw the living room in such a mess, I thought a thief had broken into the house. It scared me so badly.”

“Sis, not long after you left, someone really did break into the house. They smashed the window in my room and climbed inside. Dad discovered them and chased them away.”

Bai Suisui’s expression was unusually unpleasant. She had truly never encountered such a brazen robber before. The person had simply picked up a brick and smashed the window of her room. If Bai Yang had not warned her to stay away from the windows before leaving, she probably would have been injured today.

After hearing Bai Suisui’s words, Bai Yang frowned tightly. “Dad, who was the person who climbed in through the window?”

“The security guard from downstairs!” Bai Suisui immediately answered Bai Yang’s question.

Bai Dad remained silent, clearly still unable to accept that after only one day, someone had already dared to openly smash a window and break into a home to rob it. He had previously served in the military, where everything he had been taught centered around serving the people. Even after leaving the military, he had never encountered anything like this.

“It’s only been one day, and this person’s conscience has already disappeared by more than half. What will society become in the future?”

Bai Dad could not help but sigh emotionally. Then, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the objects wrapped in black cloth behind Bai Yang, and his expression suddenly became serious.

“Yangyang, what are you carrying behind you?”

“Dad, they’re guns.”

Bai Yang took the guns off her back, and the black cloth immediately fell away, revealing the two brand new black firearms wrapped inside.

Bai Dad’s hand trembled slightly as he was about to take one. He then took the gun from Bai Yang, but instead of even looking at it, he stared sternly at her.

“You’re far too bold, girl. How can you dare to do anything and touch everything without thinking? These are guns! How can you just carry them around like this? What if one accidentally goes off and hurts you?”

Bai Yang had originally thought Bai Dad would ask where the guns had come from. She had even prepared an explanation before returning home. She had never expected him to ask anything at all. Instead, he was only blaming her for not handling the guns properly and worrying that she might hurt herself.

“Dad, I know what I’m doing. Could you give me one of the guns for now? I’ll return it to you later.”

“What are you planning to do?”

Bai Dad handed one of the guns to Bai Yang. Although he was not happy about his daughter handling something so dangerous, he did not stop her. In his heart, he had always preferred to raise his daughters like his wife, soft and delicate, like little cotton-padded jackets. That was indeed how he had raised both girls.

Who would have thought that his eldest daughter would grow up and somehow go completely off course? Instead of being merely cute, she had become a girl who seemed to have knives sticking out in every direction.

Seeing his daughter take the gun into his younger daughter’s room and load it by the window, Bai Dad’s heart tightened. He hurried after her, but he was already too late.

Bai Yang had already put the gun away. Looking at Bai Dad, who had hurried into the room after her, her expression was calm and indifferent, yet filled with determination.

“No one is allowed to bully you. Whoever bullies you, I’ll go after them and make them pay!”

Bai Dad opened his mouth, but nothing came out. He could only sigh silently. His daughter had grown up and no longer listened to him. His soft and delicate little daughter was gone just like that!
