The black figure suddenly attacked Master Bai Ruyu and Meilin the moment they stepped outside the cave.
However, he had greatly underestimated Master Bai Ruyu’s strength.
In less than a second—
Slash!
The black figure’s head rolled across the ground before he could even react.
Meilin was slightly shocked by how quickly the fight ended.
Bai Ruyu calmly cleaned the blood from her sword.
Bai Ruyu: “There is not just one demon cultivator hiding in the kingdom.
There are many more.”
Her expression became colder.
Bai Ruyu: “This matter is becoming more dangerous than I expected.”
The two immediately returned toward the medical hall where Chen Feng was resting.
By the time Bai Ruyu and Meilin arrived, the sun had already risen.
Outside the medical room, Chen Ling was sleeping beside the door while leaning against the wall.
Bai Ruyu lightly tapped her shoulder.
Bai Ruyu: “Chen Ling, wake up.
We are returning to the sect soon.”
Chen Ling quickly woke up and rubbed her sleepy eyes.
The three of them entered the room together.
Bai Ruyu: “Chen Feng, wake up.”
Chen Feng slowly opened his eyes.
But the moment he looked beside him—
His entire body froze.
A girl wearing a red dress was sleeping right next to him on the bed.
Chen Ling’s eyes widened in anger.
Without hesitation, she immediately shook the girl awake.
The red-dressed girl slowly sat up and rubbed her eyes lazily.
Master Bai Ruyu’s face darkened slightly as she looked toward Chen Feng.
Chen Feng instantly felt cold sweat running down his back.
He quickly swallowed nervously.
Chen Feng: “M-Master, I don’t know who she is or how she entered my room!”
Chen Feng immediately looked toward Chen Ling.
Chen Feng: “Chen Ling, weren’t you guarding outside?
How did someone sneak inside?”
Chen Ling looked equally confused.
Bai Ruyu narrowed her eyes and stared at the girl.
Bai Ruyu: “Who are you, little girl?”
The red-dressed girl calmly looked around the room before smiling slightly.
Red-Dressed Girl: “My name is Qin Su.”
Then she pointed toward Chen Feng.
Qin Su: “And I am his future wife.”
The entire room instantly became silent.
Everyone was shocked.
Chen Ling reacted first.
Chen Ling: “Impossible!
I know Chen Feng better than anyone, and we have never even heard of you before!”
Qin Su crossed her arms confidently.
Qin Su: “I am the young miss of the Qin Family from the Eastern Plains.
Our families arranged an engagement long ago.”
Then she looked directly at Chen Feng.
Qin Su: “At first, I was very angry after hearing about the engagement.
I did not want to marry someone I had never met before.”
Qin Su continued speaking calmly.
Qin Su: “So I secretly followed you for some time.
I saw what happened at the market and inside the Treasure Pavilion.”
Her eyes became serious.
Qin Su: “Then you were kidnapped by those demon cultivators, and I learned everything that happened afterward.”
A faint smile appeared on her face.
Qin Su: “I was impressed by your actions.”
Qin Su: “So I decided that I will accept this marriage and become your future wife.”
Chen Ling immediately became furious.
Chen Ling: “He is not going to marry you!
He doesn’t even like girls like you!”
Qin Su calmly looked back at her.
Qin Su: “And who are you to decide that for him?”
Chen Ling immediately bit her lips angrily but could not answer.
The atmosphere in the room instantly became awkward.
Bai Ruyu rubbed her forehead helplessly.
Bai Ruyu: “Enough.
Stop arguing.”
She looked toward everyone coldly.
Bai Ruyu: “We will return to the sect immediately, so prepare yourselves.”
Qin Su suddenly bowed politely toward Bai Ruyu.
Qin Su: “I assume you are the famous beauty of the Bai Family and Master of Chen Feng.”
Then she respectfully cupped her fists.
Qin Su: “Senior, I would like your permission to travel with Chen Feng and stay temporarily at the sect.”
Her attitude was surprisingly polite and respectful.
Bai Ruyu remained silent for a moment before speaking.
Bai Ruyu: “If you come with us, then do not cause trouble inside the sect.”
Qin Su happily nodded.
Qin Su: “Thank you, Senior.”
A short while later, everyone gathered outside the medical hall.
Bai Ruyu raised her hand and took out a flying artifact shaped like a spirit ship.
The ship floated in the air while releasing spiritual energy.
Everyone boarded the artifact one after another.
Then the spirit ship slowly rose into the sky and flew toward the Heavenly God Sect after all the trouble they had experienced.
