Home?
I didn’t even know where he lived and I hadn’t even bothered thinking about it until now.
All I cared about earlier was getting out of that hospital and following Damien wherever he decided to take me.
From Eliana’s memory I vaguely recall hearing that he lived alone somewhere on the outskirts of the capital, far from the noise of the city, tucked where people couldn’t bother him.
And considering that he said he loved his personal space that might actually be true.
I wonder if he was like all those crazy rich billionares, who despite all their wealth loved to live a casual and laid back life, without excessive spending, or if he was the exact opposite of that.
But all my thoughts scattered the moment the car rolled into the driveway and I finally saw his house.
A massive estate stretched out before me.
There were tall gates, manicured gardens and a mansion so big it looked like something straight out of a movie, the kind of place that made you wonder if royalty lived there.
My jaw nearly hit the floor.
This…this was his house?
I knew he was rich but this is just plain excessive, what could you possibly even need a house like this for?
“Oh my God!
Damien do you live with like a hundred people here or something?!” I rolled down the window of the van and stuck my head out, gawking at the endless driveway leading up to the mansion.
“I live alone,” Damien said flatly.
“I don’t know about the staff but I’m pretty sure they don’t add up to a hundred.”
I just stared at him blankly, how much money could you possibly even have to casually live in a house Iike this, with servents as well!

[Name: Damien Blackwood
Age: 27
Occupation: CEO of Blackwood Corporation
Balance: $10,000,000,000]
I gasped so hard I almost choked on my own breath, what the actual fucking hell, how does one person even have that much in their bank account?
[Host, that is not including the numerous assets he has based in several countries across the world.
You should really be more grateful to your system for helping you secure a man like this]
Yes, system I am eternally grateful to you.
You’re amazing.
[I really am, aren’t I?!]
The car pulled to a stop and one of the bodyguards helped Damien out, I wasted no time and started pushing his wheelchair inside the mansion.
I pushed the wheelchair here and there, giving myself a small tour, completely awestruck by the interior of the house, while completely ignoring the fact that this wasn’t my house, Damien let out a small sigh probably wondering what kind of lunatic he had just married.
The housemaids, however, froze midstep the second we rolled in.
A few of them exchanged glances, whispering behind their hands as if I couldn’t see them.
One even raised her eyebrow so high I thought it might even fly off her head.
“What is she doing?” One of them muttered under her breath.
“Is she…playing with young master’s wheel chair?” Another one whispered, her voice laced with horror.
“Who even is she?”
I turned towards them flashing my brightest smile.
“Hi!
I’m Damien’s wife, I’m Mrs.Blackwood.”
Damien seemed to have shot the maids a cold look, as they all quickly bowed and scurried off muttering an apology under their breath.
I turned back to Damien a wide smile still on my face.
“Anyways, your place is incredibly amazing.
So, where do I stay?”
“You can ask the maids to arrange a place for you to sleep, on the second floor.” He said already rolling his wheelchair towards the elevator.
I walked in front of him, planting myself directly in his path with my arms crossed and a pout on my face.
“I don’t want to.”
Damien looked at me with a raised eyebrow.
“Huh?”
I looked him straight in the eye.
“I want to sleep in your room.”
“No.”
“But—”
“I said no Eliana.
It’s not happening.”
I just stared blankly at him for a while and before I could even figure out what was happening tears started dripping down my face.
Damien’s expression cracked, his eyes widening slightly.
“H-hey why are you crying again?”
“I-i don’t know.” I hiccuped, wiping my wet cheeks with the back of my hands.
Maybe it was the fact that I was suddenly dropped in someone else’s body and I was given an ultimatum to live, or maybe it was because I missed my past life or maybe it was just the simple fact that I was happy I was still alive.
Damien caressed his temples and let out a deep sigh.
“Fine, you can stay in my room.”
I sniffled, rubbing my nose.
“Really?
Are you sure?
I don’t want to impose—”
“Just shut up and follow me.” He muttered, rolling his wheel chair into the elevator.
The elevator opened on the third floor and Damien led me to down the long carpeted hallway, stopping in front of a pair of huge doors.
“This is the master bedroom, if you need anything just ask any of the maids.”
I gave him a small nod.
“Okay”
“Good, I have work to attend to,” he said already turning his wheelchair away, “You can either stay here or explore the house on your own.
Just don’t break anything.”
“Oh wait, Damien, Can I ask you for something?” I jogged a little to catch up with him, blurting, “My phone got broken during the accident, so…
Do you mind lending me a laptop, even an old one would do, I just need to search up a few things online.”
“Alright,” Damien said with a small nod.
“I’ll have someone bring it to you.”
”Thank you,” I murmured.
I stepped back into the master bedroom and let shut the double doors behind me.
The space was absurdly large.
A crystal chandelier that cost more than some people’s apartments hung from the ceiling, reflecting light on a king-sized bed wrapped in dark silk sheets.
I kicked off my shoes, walked over to the mattress, and collapsed face-first into the mountain of pillows, staring up at the ceiling.
