Mutated leeches and culture tanks were everywhere.

Clearly, this had once been the place where Dr.

Marcus conducted his experiments, and the research notes left behind here also recorded his process of studying leeches.Full novel: Reincarnation Instance Choosing Resident Evil, Ada Is My Girlfriend — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

After merging with the T-Virus, those leeches had evolved a kind of collective intelligence.

They could even recognize their “father,” Dr.

Marcus.

As they continued exploring, Han Yue spotted a cable car not far ahead.

“Looks like we’re almost at the final stretch.” Han Yue glanced around.

Since he knew the plot, he also knew that an Eliminator was about to attack at any moment.

And right after that, the Leech Man would appear.

Sure enough, while the two of them were looking for a way to activate the cable car, a mutated ape—an Eliminator—suddenly sprang out from around a corner.

With a shrill screech, it lunged at them.

But on Han Yue’s side, there was no such thing as “scripted plot protection.”

He blew it away with a single shotgun blast.

As for the Leech Man, perhaps because Han Yue was still here, he never showed up.

The two boarded the cable car without incident.

Soon after, they arrived at the true heart of the Executive Training School—the underground Treatment Plant.

The cable car came to a stop, and Han Yue stepped out first.

Rebecca followed close behind him.

But before they could pass through the gate, a monster emerged from a heap of rubble off to the side.

Strictly speaking, it should have been called a Tyrant.

The T-001 Prototype.

This was the very first Tyrant model developed by Umbrella Corporation, and there had only ever been a single prototype.

Because their control over the virus at that stage had been inadequate, the creature’s skin had rotted away excessively, leaving fatal weak points like its heart and spine exposed.

Its right arm had mutated into a giant claw, greatly increasing its attack power.

But at the same time, the virus had also heavily eroded its brain, making it dangerously unstable and extremely difficult to control.

And most importantly of all—its weak points were completely exposed.

Even a low-caliber pistol could hurt it.

Han Yue stepped in front of Rebecca and raised the unnamed rifle in his hands, pouring rounds straight into the creature’s heart.

But Han Yue understood one simple principle: if something dropped, you followed up.

Without hesitation, he pulled out a grenade and stuffed it straight into the Tyrant’s mouth.

“Go die, bye-bye!”

Boom!

With a violent explosion, the Tyrant’s upper body was blown apart into chunks of meat.

Han Yue refused to believe that after that, the thing still had any chance of getting back up.

Back when he played Resident Evil, what annoyed him most was how Tyrants always seemed incapable of dying properly no matter how much you shot them, and could keep standing back up and evolving again and again.

That kind of pure scripted nonsense was unbelievably irritating.

Why not just give it one more shot after it falls and finish the job properly?

…….

After killing it, the two continued forward.

Deep within the facility, in one corner, countless bones lay scattered across the ground.

Clearly, this was where Marcus had performed human experiments back in the day.

Looking at that ghastly, ominous sight, Han Yue’s expression darkened.

At that moment, it was Rebecca who tightened her grip on Han Yue’s hand instead, as if that little bit of contact could offer him some warmth.

Han Yue turned to look at her and smiled.

“Let’s keep going.”

“Mm.” Rebecca nodded.

The zombie count inside this underground facility was not particularly high.

But very soon, Han Yue saw something even more disturbing than the scattered human bones.

After pushing open a deeper door, he found an entire room crawling with leeches.

Densely packed.

Squirming everywhere.

That instant trypophobia-inducing feeling shot through his whole body.

Han Yue felt his scalp go numb, and even Rebecca’s face turned pale.

“What the hell are these things?!”

On the second-floor walkway above the room, a mysterious man dressed in white slowly stepped out.

It was the youthful form of Marcus.

“Welcome, young ones.

I’m very glad you’ve joined this party.”

As he walked forward, he spoke in a soft voice.

“You are honored guests. New chapters come out on g.com first.

Please, enjoy the feast to your heart’s content.”

After saying that, he let out a cold smile.

Then his face began to change.

Slowly, it shifted into the appearance of the elderly Marcus.

And then, without needing anyone to prompt him at all, Marcus—formed by the Queen Leech—seemed to activate that classic villain debuff where, if he doesn’t fully explain his origin story and motivations, he physically cannot feel satisfied.

So, he began to narrate.

“Ten years ago…”

But he had only just entered the “ask me and I’ll tell you” monologue phase, barely managing to get out a few words, when Han Yue immediately cut him off.

“Yeah, yeah, yeah, enough already.

Shut up.”

“I know your backstory.

No need to stand there yapping.

Hurry up and show me your HP bar.

After I beat this boss, I still have to rush over to the Resident Evil 1 plot.”

The sudden interruption short-circuited Marcus’s brain for a second.

Wait.

What?

I haven’t even said anything yet.

How are you cutting me off already?

That’s not how this script is supposed to go!

At least let me finish my lines first!

“Fuck!”

Marcus instantly flew into a mixture of rage and humiliation.

As he shed his human guise, he roared, “I will take revenge on Umbrella Corporation!

The world shall burn within an endless hell of hatred, and you too will become part of it!”

As soon as he finished speaking, Marcus had fully transformed into a monster.

And then—Han Yue calmly pulled out the rocket launcher he had picked up earlier and fired a one-shot kill.

A massive explosion thundered through the underground facility.

“Can’t even tank one RPG, and you were over there bragging that hard?” Han Yue said with utter disdain.

It’s not really mandatory—I’ll eventually upload all the chapters here—but it helps a lot in supporting me and allows me to dedicate more time to it.
