ROSALIA’S POV

I left through the first set of doors that led outside and headed straight for the gardens.

I ran deep into them and sat on a bench.Full novel: Rejected The Alpha, Bound To The Wolfless Bastard — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

My eyes darted around, making sure no one was around.

I also sniffed around, using my wolf’s nose, and sensed no one.

My attention went back to my hands that glowed uncontrollably.

I brought them to my face, and a vision played in my mind.

It was me getting dressed in a wedding gown.

The image then changed, and I was standing in a room in the temple, saying the bonding vows.

A man was standing in front of me.

Alphonso?

I didn’t know.

I couldn’t see his face.

Once it was over, I brought them down.

A frown formed on my face.

Not really a vision I wanted to see right now.

Marrying that man after what he’d just done.

In fact, why not show me the vision of him cheating beforehand!

I had a psychic ability.

Shockingly, it had awoken over a year ago, when I was 21, well over the age of 18.

I hadn’t revealed it to anyone.

Having my father respect me now after all these years of treating me like shit would be a joke.

I also didn’t want him to use me as a political tool like he once did in the past.

Or for society to suddenly change its mind about me.

I hadn’t told Alphonso, not because I didn’t trust him.

It just felt so good having him choose me over the ability.

But a part of me felt guilty.

That’s why I planned to tell him the truth tonight, when there was still time before our wedding.

He would find out during the mate bond.

Now I’m glad I hadn’t told him.

A whimper left my lips, and I burst into tears again.

To hell with Alphonso.

You have no idea what you’ve just lost!

Apparently I was the only wolf in the country with such an ability.

Hence the prophecy.

I’m supposed to bring prosperity to a pack.

I was prepared to do that for Alphonso and the Ramirez pack.

I should use my powers to bring myself prosperity instead.

But I could only do it if I knew exactly how they worked.

I was still learning how to control them.

I could see visions of the past, future, and present.

However, the visions were often vague and fragmented.

I had to work out what they meant.

I had no control over what I saw or when it happened.

A sudden ominous feeling brought me out of my thoughts.

My head snapped around in the direction of the bushes to my right.

I wiped away the last of my tears.

A loud sound to my left then had me turning in that direction.

My feet shot straight off the bench and towards the gap in the trees where the sound was coming from ahead.

Peeking through the trees, I saw 4 sentinels in a scuffle.

Three of them were targeting and beating up one on the ground.

“Where’s our money?” One of them yelled out.

“I promise I’ll get it soon,” the man begged between cries.

“What’s all the commotion?” I demanded.

The aggressor sentinels looked my way.

They then stopped attacking the one on the floor.

“It’s Rosalia Moncaro.” I heard one of them whisper, and they dispersed

I got closer and went to the man on the ground.

“Are you okay?” I asked him.

His face was bruised and battered.

“Yes…” he replied as if shocked I was speaking to him.

He sat up slowly.

“You owe them money?” I asked.

He looked down in shame and didn’t answer.

“How bad is it?”

“80,000 Euros.”

“All to them?” I asked.

That was a lot of money for a simple sentinel to owe.

“No, I borrowed from different people.”

“For what?”

“My mother’s hospital bills,” he explained.

Ordinary wolves couldn’t afford to have a healer like Alpha’s.

“How long do you have to pay it off?”

“I’m already long overdue.”

My mind began racing as I considered what to do.

“Give me your number,” I said.

“Miss?” He asked, confused.

“Don’t worry, you’re not in trouble.”

Suddenly, a sound to our left caught our attention.

It looked like someone was watching us from the nearby bushes.

That ominous feeling again.

David immediately went to check.

“There’s no one there, ma’am,” he informed me.

“Did you smell a wolf?”

“No,” he said and returned.

I thought I felt someone watching me when I had the vision on the bench as well.

Had someone seen me use my powers?

No, there would have been a scent if someone was there.

I took his details, and we went our separate ways.

The decision was rather impulsive, but perhaps I can help.

I made my way back to the mansion reluctantly.

I couldn’t face Alphonso right now.

I just wanted to go home.

“Rosalia,” I heard a familiar voice call out my name from behind.

It was Patricia; a snide grin was on her face.

“What do you want?” I asked.

“Done crying?” She asked.

She was clearly enjoying this whole situation.

“Why would you do this!?” I yelled at her.

“You really thought a powerful Alpha would want you when you have no ability?” She laughed out loud.

“Are you really surprised he would choose me?”

“I’ve always seen you staring at him!”

“Are you mad at me because you couldn’t keep him interested?” She asked.

Without thinking, I lunged at her and began hitting her.

She immediately started hitting back as she laughed hysterically at me.

There was movement around us.

“Hey, the two Moncaro sisters are fighting!” I heard someone say.

Soon, several people arrived and pulled us apart.

They were the Ramirez Sentinel guards.

“Alpha Ramirez says the two of you should go home,” One of the sentinels told us.

“He will talk to you tomorrow, ma’am. He will manage the rest of the party himself.”

Coward, I thought to myself.

But part of me was also glad not to see him right now.

My father and stepmother soon joined us, and we were escorted to the car waiting for us at the entrance.

“You dare lay a finger on my daughter!” My father snapped as soon as we got home.

We were walking down the hallway from the front door, having just entered the mansion.

“She slept with my fiancé at my engagement party!” I screamed at him.

“Don’t blame your lack of skill in keeping Alpha Ramirez interested in you on Patricia. He’s an Alpha; he can do whatever he wants,” My father said.

The same way you had Patricia with my stepmother behind my mother’s back?

I wondered.

Patricia was a year older than me.

“She’s a slut!” I screamed.

We stopped at the staircase to the lower and upper floors.

He raised his hand and slapped me across my face.
