I glanced at Nigel standing amongst the sentinels and our eyes met.

I gave him a hard look.

I didn’t need to say anything for him to understand.Full novel: Rejected The Alpha, Bound To The Wolfless Bastard — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He gave me a small nod of recognition.

‘Take Mara when there’s an opening and run as fast as you can from here.’

There was no guarantee there would be an opening but with the Alpha Mendez deal now fallen through.

I knew Lorenzo had the power to find her and Nigel but I was out of options now.

If I didn’t try to save her at all, what kind of older brother would I be?

This was my final attempt.

We stood in the front courtyard of the estate facing each other.

“How many times have I defeated you all those years father made us train? You never improved; you’ve never changed. You’ve always been boring,” Lorenzo commented as he looked down at me on the floor.

Lorenzo removed his suit jacket and threw it towards the sentinels behind him.

His arms shifted partially into claws and his his feet partially into wolf feet.

Lorenzo was now the most powerful wolf in Salvador.

Even more powerful than our father.

I took out my knives and stood in battle mode.

Looks like I’ll only be using my knives from here on out.

My arms were trembling from the sound of his growls.

Now is not the time to cower.

Don’t think about the outcome just focus on your next move.

I tried to ease my mind.

A figure standing by the mansion entrance caught my eye.

Rosalia.

Horror was on her face as she looked from Lorenzo to me.

I never went to speak to her again.

She doesn’t know what I’m planning right now nor how my actions will affect.

I really brought her in to this.

My head shook in shame.

Lorenzo charged towards me.

In the blink of an eye he closed the distance between us.

I swallowed hard.

His moves have always been erratic, over the years I had learned to predict them but my body wasn’t fast enough to react.

His claw was aimed at my throat with no time to dodge I brought up the knives to my neck.

The force from his claws making contact with my knives, knocked the wind out of me as I flew backwards. Follow the newest chapters on novelping.com.

Lorenzo charged towards me again.

Barely giving me any time to recover.

His claw nearly hit my chest.

I moved ever so slightly so he would scratch my shoulder instead.

I winced and staggered backwards.

I couldn’t dodge so it was best to lessen the damage.

Lorenzo wasn’t David.

Their physical strengths were so different.

Tactics that would work on a normal wolf were almost ineffective on an Alpha.

He charged at me again and again and again.

Each time he either narrowly missed me or I made him hit me elsewhere.

My mind was all over the place as I tried to focus on each attack.

It was difficult landing a successful blow.

At this rate, he’d tear me to shreds, piece by piece.

There were several gasps from the Salvador sentinels and other servants that watched us.

“You’re just squirming around!” Lorenzo yelled in frustration.

He then fully shifted and the rest of his clothes ripped off.

His wolf was massive with dark hair that glowed red in the sun and had golden eyes.

All the sentinels and Salvador servants in the courtyard stared in both fear and awe at Lorenzo.

He was already difficult to keep up with in hi spartial shift.

I swallowed again.

My breathing was heavy getting a second to calm down.

My uniform shirt was in tatters and sold in blood was dripping from everywhere he’d scratched me up so far.

Wolves had a weak spot just under the area of their front leg.

To slow him down, I pressed it with all my strength.

Just enough to make him move back.

But it was just

In our training sessions Lorenzo was actually holding back but now he was using all his strength right now.

I saw Nigel in the crowd slowly inching towards where Mara was being held.

“You just won’t die will. What are you a cockroach!?” He taunted me.

I staggered backward.

Think, think Helio!

How can I create an opening for Mara and Nigel?

With each attack I drew us closer and closer to the fountain. This chapter was taken from novelping.com without permission.

Hopefully, I could get to it before he ripped me to pieces.

Lorenzo followed.

“This ends now!” He shouted and he lunged.

My heart was racing.

I was going to die.

But I willed myself to stay calm.

I remained with my back against the fountain wall

With each attack I had to choose where he was going to hit my body.

However, if there was some kind of obstruction in the way…

I dodged and he would hit the fountain edge partially breaking it.

The weak spot under his front leg came into view.

Right now this was the opening.

I plunged the knife straight into it.

Lorenzo yelled out and fell forward by the fountain edge.

Taking advantage of the chance I quickly got close again.

Unfortunately, for me he gained control of his footing.

His eyes were locked on me.

His claw stretched out to strike me again but I was already within range.

I stabbed my knife straight in his throat and the second one in his heart.

“You son of a bit—” he started as he looked down at my knives inside him.

Blood pooled from his body and onto the ground.

For a moment I froze.

My only intention was to injure him… But he would have killed me had I done nothing.

There a loud silence that enveloped the area.

The only sound coming from the water pouring from the broken fountain.

I pulled the knives out of Lorenzo’s body.

It shifted back to its human form of My eyes rapidly blinked in disbelief.

There was no way I had actually

All the sentinels stared at me wide eyed.

This…this wasn’t going to end well.

“He, he killed the Alpha!” Someone shouted.
