The zombie horde seemed endless.
Just as one wave went down, another cluster staggered out from the shadows of the utility tunnel.
They weren’t fast, but their sheer numbers were overwhelming!
BANG!
Behind them, another pack of infected surged forward.
Matt was forced to turn around and fight them off, losing his grip on the wire-mesh partition.
Without his support, the mounting pressure of the corpses in the passage popped the mesh barrier clean off its frame.
“Damn it!
There are too many of them!” Chad wailed.
He hadn’t expected Chu Feng’s warning to come true so completely.
With so many zombies pressing in from both sides, holding the ground was impossible.
“Climb onto the pipes!” Chu Feng ordered, turning to face the oncoming wave.
With limited hands and endless zombies, staying on the deck meant getting swamped.
Except for Chu Feng, who could farm points, prolonged fighting put everyone in mortal danger.
“Over here!
Move!” Rain and Chad braced iron bars against the remaining fence post to delay the zombies, shouting for the others to move first.
Matt didn’t hesitate, grabbing an overhead conduit and hauling himself up onto the main utility pipe rack.
“You go up first,” Chu Feng told Alice.
Alice knew staying on the ground was useless, so she nodded, leaped up, and hoisted herself onto the heavy water pipe above.
“Go, go, go!
I’ve got this!” On the other side, Chad shoved Rain toward the pipes while holding the barricade alone.
If both of them let go at once, the horde would instantly wash over them.
Rain hesitated for a fraction of a second, but seeing the resolve in Chad’s eyes, she grabbed the conduit and pulled herself up.
Seeing Rain safely onto the pipe, Chad released the bar and turned to scramble up the wall.
GRAB!
Chad was a second too slow.
As he kicked his legs up, a zombie lunged from the shadows and clamped its teeth onto his boot.
“AAAGH!” Chad screamed, his grip slipping as he hung precariously over the swarm.
If he fell back down now, he would be torn to pieces in seconds.
“Hold on!” Alice and Matt leaned over from the pipe rack, grabbing Chad by his tactical vest and trying to haul him up.
But the zombie held on with dead weight, and even with two people pulling, they couldn’t lift Chad with the corpse dangling off his leg.
Chu Feng arrived just in time, driving the blade straight down into the zombie’s head.
Pfft!
The corpse went limp instantly, releasing its grip and tumbling to the floor.
[Ding!
Congratulations!
You killed an ordinary zombie.
Reward: 10 points.] With the weight gone, Alice and Matt pulled Chad up onto the pipe rack.
“Chu Feng, get up here fast!” Alice shouted, looking down at the gathering swarm below.
“Got it!” Chu Feng replied, raising his hand to grab the support rail.
ROAR!
A zombie lunged from his blind spot, snapping its jaw toward his neck.
“Watch out behind you!” Alice screamed in panic.
Pfft!
Chu Feng spun around and drove the dagger through the zombie’s skull, killing it on the spot.
But the brief delay was fatal—the two converging waves of zombies had completely closed the gap, pressing in on him from both front and back.
There was no room left to jump or climb.
Chu Feng was entirely trapped in the middle of a sea of rotting flesh.
“NO!” Alice screamed in horror, her eyes wide as she tried to jump back down to help him.
“Don’t go down!
There are too many!” Rain and Matt grabbed her arms, pinning her to the pipe.
Looking down at the wall-to-wall horde below, grief filled their eyes.
As much as they hated to admit it, Chu Feng was surrounded on all sides.
Down in that pit, no human could survive.
In their minds, Chu Feng was already dead.
Yet, as the hungry jaws snapped toward his face, Chu Feng stood tall and completely unbothered.
He opened his fingers, releasing his grip on the dagger.
BUZZ!
At this critical juncture, Chu Feng stopped holding back.
The magnetic field of his Magneto gene template erupted with full force.
The dagger didn’t fall to the floor—it hovered in mid-air right in front of his chest, vibrating violently!
“Die!” The moment the word left his lips, the floating dagger transformed into a streak of silver light, whirling in a lightning-fast circle around Chu Feng!
SHRIIIK!
PFFT!
PFFT!
PFFT!
As if endowed with a mind of its own, the blade spun through the air with terrifying speed and precision.
Wherever it flashed, zombie skulls were drilled clean through, spraying dark blood in a 360-degree arc.
After sweeping in a perfect circle, the blade hovered back into Chu Feng’s outstretched hand with a sharp metallic snap.
THUD!
THUD!
THUD!
A complete ring of over ten zombies collapsed outward simultaneously, leaving Chu Feng standing untouched in the center like a rose of death.

Reward: 10 points…] A dense stream of system notifications overlapped in Chu Feng’s mind.
His point balance instantly surged by 100 points, climbing from 460 past 570!
Above on the pipe rack, Alice, Rain, Chad, and Matt froze in absolute shock, their jaws slack.
“Gulp…
What just happened?
Was that my dagger?!” “It…
it flew on its own!
It spun in a circle and took off a dozen heads in one second!” “My God!
Who is this guy?!
Is he literally protected by God?” “First he walks through Spence’s bullets without a scratch, and now his dagger comes alive to slaughter a horde?!” “This is insane…
Am I hallucinating from the virus?!” They stared down at the pile of dead corpses surrounding Chu Feng.
A dagger floating on its own to carve through a horde of zombies was completely beyond human comprehension.
Had Chad not used that very knife for years, he would have sworn it was possessed by a spirit!
